Centaurs and Psychometry.CLOSING 2/11/06!!

Bonjour mes petit Lapins and welcome to another class of Divination.
This homework is set to push your mind to the boundries, to explain both myth and science. You will need to look deeply into ALL sides of a centaur and do not be mistaken in thinking they are all cute and cuddly horses, but dark creatures a well. For Psychometry you will need to open you mind and look at every source of information you can find.

He was one of the most famous centaurs. Unlike the other centaurs , who were more absorbed with drinking and frolicking, Cheiron was more of a scholar that taught others about astrology.

Have no idea so I’m going to guess the Naria series.

Assyria (2000 BC) and India (3000 BC)

4. What kind of power do centaurs have? (1)
They have amazing strength and are good at fighting. In Greek mythology, they are a rather barbaric bunch that mainly gets in fights and drinking. Very occasionally a few show the ability to see the future.

5. According to some sources, where did Centaurs live and how did they behave (3)
They tend to live in herds in Mt. Pelion in Thessaly, Greece. There they were in brawls, drank, ate raw flesh, created chaos among the villagers, and raped young maidens.
6. What kind of seeing do Centaurs do? (2)
They see live changing events that are shown in the star patterns.



Part Two

1. What is Psychometry? (1)
This is a divination ability that few people possess by being about to see or sense the history behind an object similarly to a person.
2. When is it first thought to have come about and by who? (2)
In 1842, Joseph R. Buchanan

3. What did this person do as an experiment? (2)
Buchanan presented an experiment by some students from a medical school had the same reaction to a unmarked bottle as though they really did take the medicine. He stated that this shows the bottle gave off a history and record of what it really was.

4. What is the connection between Bruce Willis and Psycometry? (2)
Bruce Willis played a character in the movie Unbreakable that experiences psychomentry.

5. What is the name for a person who can use Psychomentry? (1)
psychometrist

6. How does Psychometry work? (2)
It works by touching an object and sensing the history and everything happening around the object like a real person’s history. This works because whenever we touch and object we are laying down a bit of ourselves as well as our thoughts on it.



Part Three.

Okay, I’ll start to attempt to do this. *tries to remember everything she learned from books*. Jenn picked up a wand from the ground and closed her eyes tightly. “It’s a bit dark, but I feel tingling, like a wind or draft has come by.” Jenn excitedly as she peeked out at Etta. “Oh that’s cause you opened a window. Okay let me try again.” She ran her fingers lightly over the wand. “I see a lot of pain and danger with this wand. This wand has been used to hurt people very often. I believe by the Crucio spell and the caster enjoys it. I see a guy holding this wand, slightly big headed if you ask me.” Jenn opened her eyes and peeked at the nametag on the wand. “Oh, this is Jesse’s wand, no wonder.” (heheh)

She picked up a shining House Cup. “I see a lot of cheering and happiness that comes with this cup. A lot of hard work has come to achieve this. Lions are frolicking in happiness. Amy is placing on the table in honor. Yet I see a few tears and distress that is also linked to this. Poor little sweet badgers that had it taken away. Something that was obviously rightfully theirs! *winks at Etta* But don’t worry justice will prevail soon!”

Okay last object, I’ll be serious about this one. *picks up a ring from the ground*. “This ring has a lot of history behind it. I see that it dates back several hundred of years. Perhaps even thousands. It might be a family heirloom as I see it has been through the hands of many people. Yet this ring is quite valuable as many have died because of this ring and other’s greed to possess it. It has been lost for a long time in a lake but was soon retrieved.” Jenn looks at it closely. “I don’t know why…it doesn’t have any diamonds or any jewels to make it valuable. But it is shiny.” She slowly starts to put it on her finger. “Very shiny, precious kind of shiny. My precious…” Jenn suddenly disappears. (lol sorry couldn’t help it. I’m in a weird mood today)
