When I was younger...

I saw this on another forum and thought it was funny. I'll start the list off and everyone add to it their own thoughts and ideas (as I'm 19, the list mainly focusses on the nineties lol) :D

When I was younger...

...The Spice Girls were the epitome of cool
...I was the only person in my class to have a mobile phone
...everyone wore platform trainers and trouser-skirts
...our computer took twenty minutes to load and the games came on cassettes (seriously)
...school disco's at the church hall were the highlight of the year

when i was younger my mum dressed me in the most terrible clothes ever!

When I was younger..

I cared so much more about what other people thought of me
I would spend hours outside playing instead of being on a computer
I didn't have a computer! *gasp*
I would play with my barbie dolls alone and make them talk in my head
I thought College was such a big deal and I would be so different lol
I thought I'd have met the man of my life by 16 years old rofl

That's about all I can think of for now... lol

when i was younger...

i didnt speak any english
i would watch my brother play SUPER NINTENDO! (woaaaaah)
i would watch power rangers and my mom thought i'd get nightmares from it.
i thought harry potter sucks. (*le gasp*)
i thought the day i would graduate is so far away and now i am all crazy because it's so close

hmm it wasn't that long ago but XD

When I was younger...

...I hung out with older kids and mimicked what they did to be cool XD
...I told people what I thought of tehm without thinking about how it would sound
...I let my older friends dress me up, do my hair, and put on makeup for me
...I got most everything I wanted without working for it
...I hated closed doors
...I was jealous of my younger sister
...I made up stories with my barbies XD
...Pizza day was the best
...2 square was my favorite game
...boys and girls thought of each other as the enemy XD

When I was younger...

...I actually thought Kenan and Kel was a programme worth watching...*shudders*

when I was younger....

...I tried to give my waterbaby a shot ( she started leaking so I threw her in the closet lol)
...I used to watch horror movies with my eyes glued to the ceiling and would just listen to it. (wait I still do that now lol)
...I thought reading was a waste of time
...I thought Saved By the Bell was thge coolest show
...I thought touching bleach would melt my skin away (thats what my sister told me! man was I naive)

... I thought hearing gun shots was an everyday orrcence and happened at least 5 times a day (and it actually did where I lived)

... I thought that life was actually like disney

man I was so stupid I am so glad I got out of the envieronment I was in

The TV show Doug made life worth it XD
My little brother was cool... (hehe)

When I was younger...

...I wasn't so scared of bugs like spiders and other thingies
...I would actually sleep outside without caring if I ate a bug in my sleep
...I would spend hours in the swimming pool during summer
...I wanted so much to be exactly like everybody else
...I was dreadfully scared of the dark
...I thought there were actually wild animals in every corner of my city
...I had grass snakes as friends! rofl ^^

When I was younger...

...there was no such thing as Harry Potter! (AH!!)
...saying the word "PSYCHE" at the end of a sentence was soo amazing
...it was mandatory to be able to sing the rap to "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"
...I'd try to be like Stephanie Tanner and say "HOW RUDE" all the time
...getting up early on Saturday morning to watch cartoons was the highlight of my week

When I was younger...

popularity didn't matter
playing in the mud was the highlight of my life
saturday was the most exciting day of the week

When I was younger...

...my parents thought it was cute to have a pony tail sticking straight up in the middle of my head!
...I watched the Smurfs and wondered why Smurfette was the only girl....

(Okay, this is going from when I was a toddler up)

- I was an only child
- I carried a stuffie with me everywhere
- My favorite book was Dr. Suess's (sp?) Green Eggs And Ham
- I wore dresses every day
- I actually wore leggings
- My favorite movie was The Little Mermaid
- My room was pink with kitty wallpaper as a border around the top of the walls
- I loved BSB, NSYNC and Brittney Spears
- I wore vests and striped turtlenecks
- I didn't like jeans
- I played with my American Girl dolls all the time
- middle schoolers seemed so old (and now I'm in high school, lol)
- I was babysat instead of babysitting
- Harry Potter wasn't my life *gasp*

And yeah...that's enough :D

...my lunchbox was plastic and had the little mermaid on it
....I had a yo yo that I seriously injured myself at least twice with before getting it taken away
...I would say "NOT" at the end of every sentence..

...I barely had any friends

...I hated dressing up
...I always shared a large room with lots of other little girls
...I was always moving around the U.S
...I had a stuffed teddy named Remy

...I was always picked on and got into fights

...i thought pretty dresses were for girls, NOT CERTAINLY FOR ME!!! :D

...i used to blame my brother for everything (i still do lmao)

...i had a huuuuuge crush on Kurt Cobain (still have, even if he's dead..)

...i learned how to run before walking

...my highlight was when My grandma let me watch Days of our lifes with her!

...We played hopscotch and girls chased the boys around at recess
...I always had to buy the newest Beanie Baby.
...Instead of listening to the teacher, me and my friends would play clapping games during class.
...When I needed new sneakers, I bought the kind that would light up when you walk. XD

Every girl was in love with Jesse McCartney.

I actually ate breakfast.

Nosebleeds were an almost daily occurence for me.

Overall were the best thing in the world.

Polly Pockets, Bratz and Barbies were an obsession.

I had every Aaron Carter song memorized.
