The last word.........

The last word in the series is currently 'scar', though Rowling has conceded that this may change as she finishes the novel.

From this, does anyone have any ideas/theories at what the last paragraph or chapter could be about?

We also know that the last chapter at the moment is planned to be an epilogue of sorts, showing the lives in the future of those who survived. She said this in the interview on ITV with that kid Owen (and I can't for the life of me find the transcript anywhere!).

So I'm not sure how 'scar' fits in with this...

Perhaps it's really really far in the future, when Harry's old and grey, and he's telling his little red-headed grandchildren (cos he married Ginny, of course ) the story of his life, and then he says "and that's how Grandad got his scar" :D

No, in all seriousness, I'm not sure how the epilogue thing and the scar thing fit together...

I'm thinking the last paragraphs will be recapping all the events of the previous books and finally draw this one to its final closure.

Hahahaha, some random guy would ask "Dude, where's your scar?" xD I would so crack up!

Jo Rowling does say somehere the end is an epilouge so thats no suprize. But i don't think it will be Harry telling it. I think it will just be something like

Harry and Ginny grew old together
Hermione and Ron had 19 kids
blah blah

things like that

Maybe it will be very well into the future and parents are telling their children about when Voldemort reigned for years and brought terror to the wizarding world. Like a bedtime story. Then the child will ask "what happened to the bad man Voldemort?" And then maybe the parents will say something like, "Well, it all started with a boy who had a lightening shaped scar."

Well we now know that the last word is in fact NOT scar and that the last chapter is defiantly an epilogue so if that is so I think it might be a news paper report or just a chapter summing it all up.
