Voldemorts life debt?

We all know that peter has a life debt to harry, but what about voldemort? Harry in some way 'saved' voldemort. I know a lot of people will probably say that voldemort wouldnt even consider this as he is really evil, but dumbledore seemed to think that it didnt matter how evil a person is - a wizard life debt is like a silent law.

Even with wizarding laws voldemort would not uphold his debt. He cares nothing for anyone and would not give killing harry a second thought. Voldemort can't really be 'saved'

I think i agree with you there, but what if voldemort surprises us and honours this life debt?

Ummm. i don't agree with you, but it's an interesting point. There is no law saying you have to save the person or fulfill the debt its a bond like Dumbledore said in the 3rd book. Peter will probably end up sacrificing himself to save Harry. But i think it's more of the good inside yourself telling you to do it not a law. An example is Snape protecting Harry in the first book. So even if Voldy did owe Harry a life debt he proably wouldn't fulfil it.

Technically, Harry didn't save Voldemort's life either. Voldemort wasn't dead, he was just corporeally challenged.

Peter, on the other hand, was two flicks of a wand away from an AK, so it *does* apply in his case.

Exactly, my point. Thank-you. I also think like I mentioned above, Voldemort doesn't have the heart to care. And technically Harry didn't save him, nobody did.

I actually don't think he's careless, Luscius was careless. I think he's paranoid. Like of being killed I mean. The prophecy really got him scared.

I meant careless in the sense of, without care. Not careless as in he left his bus pass in the cantina XD

Oh okay that makes sense. Your absolutly right, he doesn't care. There's a defintite catch 22 about the horcrux thing tho. For example, your harming yourself internally by ripping your soul apart but your doing it to protect yourself, but still someone can destroy it. So yea, I know what you mean.

I do not think that voldemort would pay Harry a life debt back to Harry hes just to evil. Like some one said its sort of like a state of mind your guilty conscience they saved you so in some way you owe them back.
