I hope this thread is ok?

I noticed that a lot of people on here are ofter here very late. Cant sleep? lol quite often I cant, so i was thinking - i know we have a common room, but we could use this thread for chatting when we cant sleep - an insomnia thread?

Well I think we're all on different timezones. Like for me I'm in the US so I think England is 6 hours ahead of us? Anyway yeah I still stay up late on some nights so this might work.

Beware of Swifters though hahaha!

Oh yeah, to my point.... i've been suffering form insomnia since... *counts* ...the age of 5? But then at some point it sort of 'got better' or whatever, but then a few months ago it got even worse... OH WELL!!! ^^

If it's serious insomnia then it's very difficult to actually get sleep, it's all about how the person is like. *kills her doctor* I've been brainwashed!! :D Insomnia can come if you've been through something traumatizing and you're sort of "afraid" of sleeping and blaaaah.. That's why many insomniacs use sleeping pills, but if you get addicted to them, it's difficult to even try to fall asleep "naturally". So practically, there's no cure and we will all die, rofl :D No, just kidding... *hides* Anyway, anyone else who has serious insomnia? O.O *wants to huggle that person*

i dont think mine is serious. sometimes i take the over counter sleeping tablets when i havent slept well for ages. I think it is mainly worry with me

I don't really have insomnia but it always take me *at least* one hour before I manage to fall asleep lol. And when I'm anxious or excited about something that will happen the next day, like this summer the night before I left for California or the one before my first College day, it can take up to two hours and more lol

I have serious insomnia WHATEVER!! :D I don't take it seriously, except when i'm on that mood. I just drink coffee and laugh MWEHH!! It's pretty cool to stay up one week without sleep.. at day 4 you start to giggle at everything. O.O

I don't have major sleeping issues, but soemtimes when I really want to sleep, I can't. At all. It's a sad feeling. And counting things and stuff doesn't help me of course, and I end up just hitting my fan because it makes annoying noises, then getting really annoyed, because I NEED the drone of the fan to sleep in the first place! So after a while, I force my self to daydream until I fall asleep. It doesn't always work if I get distracted... but it has helped me out when is 12, and I'm groaning because I can't imagine going throught the day of 6 horus of sleep. But once again I need sleep. Lots of it. Or I'll explode. Not from grumpiness, I'll just explode. You other guys that go through the day with little or no sleep... I have no idea how you do it!

I'm actually grumpy if i HAVE slept. It's the fact when someone makes me sleep and then WAKES ME UP!!!! I mean, what's the point if i can't sleep forever!? So i'll walk around stomping and mumbling to myself and if someone says something to me that i don't like, it's the last thing that person will ever do. Feel the anger of a grumpy teenager!!! :D I'm hyper and happy when i have loads to do and no sleep, that's how i make it in my life xD What a great advice to everyone! lol

Ahh... 2:30 AM. I don't know where the night has gone...I was so busy with a million different things on the computer and otherwise, and suddenly I'm the only one awake. Lol. My contact lenses are getting uncomfortable, my back hurts and I finally finished most of what I wanted to do.

My bed never looked so soft and inviting... *too tired to even yawn*

lol well the skipping sheep didnt work for me but i think i was so tired last night that my body just relaxed! I was in bed by 10.30 on a saturday!! That is earlier than i am in the weekday AND I actually managed to fall asleep!

You know, I actually don't think it's more of an insomnia thing... You're too busy chatting to people, posting, etc., and then you don't notice the time, and when you do, you don't care, coz you just don't feel tired anymore. That happened to me. Sometimes still does, but hey. I'm lucky to get 7 hours of sleep sometimes.... kinda a lot, but I'm not really an insomniac. Just don't like sleeping when I don't want to. :D
