| A class with a bit of fun!
All you need to do is look at the list of characters below and name another actor/actress who you believe would be a good choice to play that character in the films.
You can not choose an actor/actress who already stars within the HP films and you must give a reason for your choices. The more detailed you are the more possible housepoints you may earn
List of Characters
Harry Potter Hermione Granger Ron Weasley Fred and George Weasley Ginny Weasley Neville Longbottom Draco Malfoy
Moaning myrtle Nearly Headless Nick Peeves
Dumbledore Snape McGonagall Hagrid Sprout
Remus Lupin Sirius Black Percy Weasley
Voldermort Lucius Malfoy
Possible housepoints: 50
Good luck and have fun! | |

| Erm...take some of mine with a pinch of salt. This is harder than it sounds. Harry Potter: Richard Fleeshman. I think Richard would be good as Harry, because he looks similar to the way Harry is described in the books, is of a similar age, and acts well. http://members.shaw.ca/lolaland/craigh.jpgHermione Granger: Rachel Hurd Wood. Rachel played Wendy in Peter Pan, and I think she would make a good Hermione because she looks similar to the way Hermione is described in the books. She is also a good actress, and her voice has a ‘bossy’ tone that would fit Hermione. http://www.customflix.com/Special/AFIFEST/2005/interviews/05-DI-Rachel.Hurd-Wood.jpgRon Weasley: Alan Tudyk. OK, I know he’s kind of old, but imagine him as an older Ron. I’m thinking primarily of when he played Wat in A Knights Tale – he had a very similar temperament in that film to Ron. http://www.hotflick.net/flicks/2001_A_Knight_s_Tale/Thumb/2001_A_Knights_Tale_061.jpgFred and George Weasley: Alex Pettyfer. He’s around the right age, he’s good looking, and could probably pull off the red hair. Plus, they’d have to do the thing like in The Parent Trap and double him. Which is good – double Alex Pettyfer would draw in the tweens. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Image-Pettyfer2.jpgGinny Weasley: Helen Flanagan. Mainly because I can’t think of anyone else, I’ve chosen Helen Flanagan who plays Rosie Webster in Coronation Street. She’s around the same age, and with red hair, could make quite a good Ginny. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/41329000/jpg/_41329750_rosie203body.jpgNeville Longbottom: William Mosely. William is probably quite similar to how Neville looks, as he is described in the books. William played Peter in the Narnia film, and is a good actor, and would possibly be able to pull off the ‘forgot my toad’ look. http://www.teenidols4you.com/thumb/Actors/william_moseley/110205williammoseley300.jpgDraco Malfoy: Leonardo DiCaprio. He has the hair (somewhat), and could play the snivelling ferret quite well, even if he is a bit old. http://www.leonardo-dicaprio.com/index.jpgMoaning myrtle: Er…Charlotte Church. For the simple reason Myrtle moans and whines a lot and Charl’s singing…yeah… http://www.respectingothers.org.uk/images/charlotte-church.jpgNearly Headless Nick: Bill Nighy. Bill Nighy is one of the ‘brit-pack’, and as such it is quite surprising he hasn’t already turned up in a HP film. Ah well, I think he would be fine as Nick, there’s not too much involved in playing the ghost, and he could pull it off. http://www.anncrafttrust.org/photos/bill%20nighy.jpgPeeves: Rik Mayall. Basing this purely off his performance in “Drop Dead Fred”, Rik Mayall would be the perfect Peeves. He’s stupid, rather bizarre looking, and is a very good actor. http://hem.passagen.se/pyper/Images/ddf1.jpgDumbledore: Ian McKellen. Is there anyone else? HP have already used two of the famous old-dude actors, and Ian’s already played an aging Wizard, so there’s nothing more that needs to be said. http://grail.cs.washington.edu/projects/digital-matting/image-matting/other/gandalf-input.pngSnape: Hugh Grant, mainly because I’m running out of English actors that haven’t already been in the films. But I think he could pull off Snape – he can do the evilly sarcastic character (Bridget Jones), the ruthless one (Two Weeks Notice), and that’s about it really. http://www.clangrant-us.org/images/hugh-grant.jpgMcGonagall: Helen Mirren. Another of the ‘brit-pack’, she’s the only old-ish, British actress I could think of that would fit this role. As Jane Tennison in Prime Suspect, we’ve seen her do strict and harsh, and she’s also starred in other films such as Calendar Girls, she can also do humour (and McG is quite humorous at times.) http://pub.tv2.no/multimedia/TV2/archive/00126/helen_mirren_200_126177a.jpgHagrid: Johnny Vegas. Sorry, I couldn’t think of anyone else. He can act (somewhat), he has an accent similar to Hagrid’s and…if you stuck him in a big bushy beard he could look like Hagrid too. http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/bleakhouse/images/photogallery/340x255/krook_1.jpgSprout: Celia Imrie. She’s around the right age, she’s a good British actress and she plays the quintessential English very well. http://www.jadis.demon.co.uk/pictures/imrie2.jpgRemus Lupin: Well I wanted to say David Tennant but he’s been in a HP Film so…Liam Neeson! Yeah, he’ll do. He’s played Aslan in Narnia so has a bit of experience with playing animals (not that I’m saying Lupin is an animal). He’s a good actor, and around the right age. http://www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com/news/images/0402/neeson.jpgSirius Black: Without a doubt, Johnny Depp. He can make himself look like anyone (is there any similarity between the way Edward Scissorhands and Captain Jack look??) Johnny’s devilishly handsome (as is Sirius), he can do the happy-go-lucky-with-a-sinister-side (like Sirius), and he can do the all important English accent. http://www.empiremovies.com/nextraimages/johnny-depp.jpgPercy Weasley: Orlando Bloom. No seriously, didn’t you know Percy was a secret Sex God? Nah, only joking – I’m running out of ideas and I just googled Johnny Depp and saw a pic of Orly so thought ‘Ah, what the heck! He can be Percy’. But aside from that, Orly’s accustomed to wearing wigs that are a different colour from his original (as Legolas in LotR), and would draw in the fangirls – give them some eye-candy (not that they’d need it, with Depp as Sirius). http://www.celebopedia.com/bloom/images/orlando_bloom.jpgVoldemort: Simon Cowell. Mr Nasty of Saturday-night TV can play Mr Nasty of the Wizarding World. Imagine him with robes instead of high waisted trousers, and with a shaved head, red eyes and slits for nostrils, and yeah, I think Simon could pull it off. http://www.bestweekever.tv/bwe/images/2006/05/simon%20cowell.jpgLucius Malfoy: William Roache. I don’t really think ol’ Ken Barlow would be a good Malfoy Sr., but I can’t think of anyone else. That and he used to have blonde hair. You can’t really see it though, can you? The ever-nice Ken Barlow playing the silkily sarcastic Death Eater… http://www.chect.org.uk/Filestore/imagebank/William-Roache-MBE.jpg | |

| Harry Potter Played by Elijah Woodhttp://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/9915/thewar.jpgMany people have commented on the great acting of this young male, qualities which Daniel Radcliff fails to hold. Hermione Granger played by Jacinda Barrett http://www.girl.com.au/graphics/last_kiss_1.jpgShe might have a slight australian/american twang to her voice, but Jacinda would make a great Hermione - leaving the snobbery behind! Ron Weasley played by Garette Henson http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/9915/geeger.jpgWith a little dyeing of his hair, Garette would be a perfect young actor for the part of Ron. He has the cheeky look and is no novice to acting after being in many films such as Mighty Ducks, Huck Finn and many more. Fred and George Weasley played by Jeremy and Jason Londonhttp://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/9915/http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/9915/jasonlo02.jpgWith Red hair and painted freckles hese two would be perfect for the role of the twins. Ginny Weasley played by Lindsey Lohan http://www.starletsdatabase.com/pictures/lindsay_lohan.jpgOk, I am slightly out in years but i couldnt think of anyone else except the young Lindsey Lohan. Just add a timeturner and you will get her as she was in the parent trap Neville Longbottom played by Ryan Jameshttp://ryanjames.kidactors.com/who said Neville had to be a geek? With a bit of makeup and dressing down, Ryan would be a perfect Neville. His hidden good looks could symbolise his hidden mamories and life which could have been... Draco Malfoy Played by Brad Renfro http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/9915/brad14.jpgBrad has had a number of starring roles in movies such as 'The Client' and 'Sleepers' and is able to play to tough boy act with a sense of underlying fear. His looks have the mysterious yet plain expression which is perfect for the character of Draco. Moaning myrtle played by Heather Basten http://heatherbasten.actorsite.com/images/heather_basten.gifA young new actress who could bring the michevious child like qualities into this character without annoying the whole world of viewers! Nearly Headless Nick Peeves Dumbledore Snape McGonagall Hagrid Sprout played by Dawn Frenchhttp://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/guide/images/200/dawn_french.jpgShe nabbed the part of the fat lady, yet I believe that she would be a perfect professor sprout. Her cheeky face and fun loving yet stern qualities would make dawn french the perfect professor sprout Remus Lupin played by Vincent Kartieser (young remus) and Hugh Benjamin http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/9915/vk09.jpghttp://www.actorsbone.com/ActorPgs/ActorGraf/BenjaminHugh.jpgBased soley on looks, Vincent would be a perfect young remus. He has a serious look combined with and mischievious look hidden beneith. Hugh is equally as perfect for the part of the older remus Sirius Black played by Jared Leto (young sirius) and Johnny Depp http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/9915/jaredleto.jpgJared and Johnny hold a similar fun loving personality which comes out well in their acting. They are extremely similar to sirius' character and could play well as the same person on screen. Percy Weasley played by River Jude Phoenix http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/9915/river.jpgNominated for Best Supporting Actor, River Phoenix would be a perfect Percy, yet we would have to hope that we can bring back the dead as unfortunately River died at the tender age of 23. Rest in Peace River Voldermort played by Balthazar Getty (as Tom Riddle) and Marky Mark http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/9915/dx-pbge1.jpghttp://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/9915/marky.jpgThis young actor is perfect for the role as the young voldemort. He bares the child like looks yet still shadows a darker side. Mark enhances the shadow personality of Getty and would appear a perfect match on screen Lucius Malfoy played by Kiefer Sutherland http://z.about.com/d/movies/1/0/j/i/8/kiefersutherlandbio.jpgKeifer is no stranger to playing the type cast character of lucius malfoy and it would bring a little spark into the plain character who is already cast in the actual potter films. (I will come back with the others) | |

| Basically I decided based on looks haha. Harry Potter Frankie muniz? http://www.canmag.com/images/front/people/frankiemuniz.jpg Hermione Granger Emmy Rossum, while I don’t like her eyes, look at the hair! http://www.variety.com/graphics/ten2/pics/rossum_emmy.jpgRon Weasley Justin Berfield from Malcolm in the Middle. Just dye his hair red. And give him talent. http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/malcolm/gallery/images/340/malcolm5.jpgFred and George Weasley eh, leave them alone! I love them the way they are! Ginny Weasley- Natalie Portman, if she were younger, I think she could be ginny, look at the pic, and imagine vivid red hair http://www.celebopedia.com/portman/images/natalie_portman.jpgOr possibly, Kiera Knightly, as they do look a lot a like. Or maybe reese witherspoon. http://www.theage.com.au/ffximage/2006/06/23/reese_narrowweb__300x416,0.jpg Neville Longbottom- William Moseley, he has the sweet innocent, but brave look that is neviile Draco Malfoy, Lucas grabeel from high school musical. I know he’s not british, but he LOOKS like he should be draco. http://www.lucas-grabeel.com/fanlisting/v2.jpg Or Frankie muniz…he looks a bit like tom felton in my mind…actually he might make a good harry…Frankie would… http://www.canmag.com/images/front/people/frankiemuniz.jpgLuna Lovegood, Life is 42, because Lifey is exactly like luna in everything except nationality and looks. Moaning myrtle Leave her be! Nearly Headless Nick I prefer the current actor! Peeves He’s not in the movies, or did I fall asleep during them? Dumbledore Ian McKellen, from lord of the rings…that was my choice all along. http://alumnireview.queensu.ca/pastissues/summer2004/images/gandalf.jpgSnape defiantly Christopher lee. http://www.buchkritik.at/themen/vampir/lee.jpgMcGonagall Leave her. Hagrid leave him. Sprout Jennifer saunders http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/guide/images/200/jennifer_saunders.jpgRemus Lupin Doughray Scott, basically I’m going by how the actors look haha.http://www.omelete.com.br/imagens/cinema/news/atores/dougray_scott.jpg actually in that one he looks more like…james potter lol http://www.dougrayscottinfocus.com/images/071103NZ1.jpgPercy Weasley oh please! No one cares about percy! Give him the axe! Sirius Black Hugh Jackman from van helsing! http://www.moviezine.se/filmbilder/004/van_helsing.jpgVoldermort ehg! Too scary to think about!!!!!!!!!!!! I say leave him. Lucius Malfoy- Paris Hilton…J/k!!! hmm…leave him. Narcissa Malfoy- Kate Winslet, okay I know that’s a little strange, but I think it could work! http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/41583000/jpg/_41583716_winslet_203.jpgBellatrix Catherine Zeta Jones. I just think she would REALLY fit the role http://www.sitevip.net/catherine-zeta-jones/images/index_catherine_02.jpg | |

| Harry Potter = Richard Fleeshman because he is a talented young actor, needs work :D and would be able to handle the emotions of Harry’s character brilliantly in the final three books, epically HBP where he is just a moody teenager and well, Richard could do that, he was in Coronation Street you Know. http://www.tmcentertainment.co.uk/images/speaker-index/SpeakOutRichardFleeshman.jpgHermione Granger = Vanessa Anne Hudgens would be my choice for Hermione, not only is she a talented young actress, and well that’s about it http://images.starpulse.com/Photos/pv/Vanessa%20Anne%20Hudgens-7.jpgRon Weasley = I’d have to cast Jonathan Sadowski as Ron, for the simple fact he’s got red hair *shrugs* this is hard you know! Anyway, he was brilliant in She’s the Man so you know, there. http://images.zap2it.com/20060309/shesthemanpr/006_jonathansadowski_shesthemanpr.jpgFred and George Weasley = Nicholas Brendon and Kelly Donovan, actual twin brothers, although slightly older then the Weasley twins, I think these two, with some red hair dye, a little make up, maybe a spell gone wrong, could pull off playing the Weasley Twins, their performance in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in the episode where Xander gets thingeyd by this monster thing and like wakes up in the Dump only to find he ahs another self kinda thingy, you know the one where he gets his apartment (the one Anya wants ) anyway, I liked that episode and thirty points to Elfie if she can tell me its name http://www.hollywoodjesus.com/television/buffy/27.jpgGinny Weasley = I couldn’t think of anyone better then our very own Just_Ginny, but to be safe I thought of Lacey Turner, just dye her hair and tell her to be nice :D that’ll do. http://www.hellomagazine.com/profiles/Lacey_Turner/lacey-turner-1b.jpgNeville Longbottom = Draco Malfoy = Channing Tatum, just because he is cute and has a body to die for. Bleach his hair and let him get on with being Draco. :p http://www.iballer.com/malecelebs/pretty_celebs/tatum/images/c27_jpg.jpgMoaning myrtle = Cheryl Tweedy/Cole/whatever because she never stops moaning! And I don’t like her; she gives us Geordies a bad name. http://www.iceposter.com/thumbs/G138138.jpgNearly Headless Nick = Peeves = Matt Di Angelo because, well he’s great as Deano and give him a hat and tell him to be naughty and we have a peeves. http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/9/97/200px-Deano_wickes00.jpgDumbledore = Sir Ian McKellen. This man should have been the next Dumbledore, not stupid Michael Gambin (please note I have nothing against Michael just his portrayal of Dumbledore) Sir Ian ahs the soft eyes, eyes which show kindness, he is gentle in voice and understands what is needed for each role. http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40863000/jpg/_40863011_ianmckellan203pa.jpgSnape = I refuse to name anyone else. *crosses arms across chest* your so cruel elfie! McGonagall = Dame Judy Dench just because she’s old http://www.news.utoronto.ca/img/2005/dench.jpgHagrid = Jack Black because he is funny and would give you the greatest performance ever as Hagrid. http://adweek.blogs.com/photos/uncategorized/jackblack.jpgSprout = Joanna Lumley, just for a laugh. http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/1760000/images/_1761211_joanna150.jpgRemus Lupin = John Barrowman, because, well have you see this man? Honestly he is so cute and anyway, he is a talented actor and I think he would portray Remus very well, maybe even better then what’s his name who plays him now. http://www.spacedoutinc.org/images/swingindex.jpgSirius Black = No doubting this, Johnny Depp. He is insane enough to play someone who has such madness from being locked away for so many years, he has a soft caring side to him as well, which would build a bond with Harry and make it realistic. http://www.arnadal.no/film/actors/images/depp_johnny_goldenglobe2004.jpgPercy Weasley = Sean Aston, just, oh I don’t know why! http://imdb.com/gallery/granitz/2433/SeanAstin_Cohen_2320941_400.jpg.html?path=pgallery&path_key=Astin,%20Sean&seq=6Voldemort = Willem Defoe because he plays the bad guy so brilliantly! And well, he looks scary without having to spend hours in make up so yeah, he’ll do. http://www.realfeatures.com/ARCHIVE/PORTRAITS/pics/Willem_Defoe0006web.jpgLucius Malfoy = Viggo Mortensen would be my choice for Lucius, now this one was hard because I adore Jason Isaacs as Lucius but well, anyway, I think Viggo, judging by his performance in History of Violence, could handle a role like Lucius very well, I am also slightly sure he would take the role because it obviously breaks him from the whole Aragon thing. Just give him a Paris Hilton Wig and let him loose on the set and baddabing we have a new Lucius. http://us.movies1.yimg.com/movies.yahoo.com/images/hv/photo/movie_pix/new_line_cinema/the_lord_of_the_rings__the_two_towers/viggo_mortensen/towers3.jpg | |

| Harry Potter- Tom Welling from smallville. Only younger. He does a good job of playing the hero. But I think he'd bring a bit more of both edge and cheek to Harry. He'd just give it that bit more.
Hermione Granger- Anna Popplewell (susan-chronicals of narnia). I really like her as an actress, I think she'd do a great job of Hermione.
Ron Weasley- Skandar Keynes. He played Edmund in the chronicals of narnia. I can just picture him telling Harry to *get stuffed* in GOF.
Fred and George Weasley- Seth Green, but they'd have to double him. He's just hilarious. And plus red hair an added bonus.
Draco Malfoy- (picture him a lot younger) Michael Rosembaum from Smallville. But best give him some blond hair. I think he'd really bring Malfoy to life, give the character a bit more depth. Some more layers. If only he could go back in time....and become british.
Peeves- Johnny Depp. I wanted him to be in here somewhere and tossed up between a few roles. Lets face it Mr Depp could pull of pretty much anything.
Dumbledore- Ian MacKellen. Has to be, he was always Dumbledore in my mind.
Snape- Keanu Reeves. Why? Because he looks like Snape. And because I'm sure he could pull off the whole "which side is he on" thing. I'd love to see him play the bad guy, get him out of the Matrix. From Hero to Villian.
Remus Lupin- Liam Neeson. yep, he's defiantly Lupin. Just quirky enough but with some hero in him. Funny enough to pull off some of Lupins lines, but he's proved himself playing a mentor already in Star Wars and as Aslan.
Sirius Black- Viggo Morteson. Why? Because that is exactly how I pictured Sirius when I read the books, dark, handsome, but rough and edgy. I really REALLY wanted him as Sirius. Think of him when we first see him in the Prancing Pony as Aragorn. Then think of all the motivational stuff he says to his men before the battles.
Percy Weasley- I really want to say Sean Biggerstaff because I wish he'd had a bigger role then just Oliver Wood. But otherwise William Moseley from Chronicals of Narnia (sorry about the continuos C.O.A but I really like the actors and they seem to fit)
Voldemort- I can't think of anyone that scary!
Lucius Malfoy- John Glover from Smallville. Man he's so bad it gives me the chills.

| Sorry for all the non-British actors, but I'm American, most of the British actors I know by name are in the Harry Potter movies or the Lord of the Rings movies. I also tried really hard with the younger actors as I don't watch a lot of Tween movies- but I do watch a few.
List of Characters
Harry Potter: Penn Badgley- he's the cute younger brother in John Tucker Must Die. He's good looking, but not in an obvious way, like I imagine Harry to be. Some green eye contacts, he already has kinda crazy hair, fake scar, and I believe we have a winner! Hermione Granger: Ellen Page-she is an amazing young actress, and anyone who's seen Hard Candy can attest to that. She shine with brilliance, just like Hermione. Ron Weasley: Michael Angarano- he was in Seabiscuit and Sky High and played Jack's son on Will & Grace. He is an incredible actor, and he can do nerdy and geeky. Fred and George Weasley: Aaron and Shawn Ashmore-Shawn was Iceman in X-Men (along with Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde, hmm) and Aaron plays Jimmy Olsen on Smallville. They both have great mischievous smiles, making them perfect for the joke loving twins. Ginny Weasley: Danielle Panabaker- she's the cute red head in Sky High. Her character in Sky High is a lot like the present Ginny, strong, loyal and determined. Neville Longbottom: Josh Hutcherson- he's in RV and Bridge to Terabithia. He's a good actor, all he'd need is a little extra padding on his frame. Draco Malfoy: Jeremy Sumpter- I saw him for the first time in Fraility and he was amazing. He showed so much diverisity in that one role, that being Draco will be no problem. He'll make a great evil bleached blonde!
Moaning myrtle: JoJo- singer/actress has the pouty looks, and she can work on the whiny voice. Nearly Headless Nick: Jim Carrey- he's funny and surprisingly versatile. He'd help lighten up some of the darker movies. Peeves: Rowan Atkinson- Come on, he's Rowan Atkinson.
Dumbledore- Gene Wilder- I'm picturing him mostly from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. He has that overly nice sarcasm that Dumbledore has when he's dealing with the Dursleys. He also has twinkly eyes befitting Dumbledore. And he's terribly old now. Snape: Cillian Murphy- he's a little young, but he's so good at being bad and complex. And since Snape is a personal favorite of mine, he should also be really hot. Granted, his voice is not as sexy as Alan Rickman, but they could let him keep his Irish accent. McGonagall: Brenda Blethyn- a wonderful actress, she starred in Secrets & Lies, which was brilliant, and she was Mrs. Bennett in the 2005 version on Pride and Prejudice. She just looks like McGonagall to me. Hagrid: John Goodman- he's big and cuddly and could so be Hagrid. Sprout: Rosie O'Donnell- I can just see her interacting with Neville. And she's a good supporting role actor- think of Sleepless in Seatle and a League of Their Own.
Remus Lupin: Matthew MacFadyen- He's Mr. Darcy, what more do you want! He's gorgeous and has the whole tortured soul eyes thing down. I would love to see him and Tonks (Rose Byrne in my universe) in the 6th book! Seriously, he should be Remus. Sirius Black: Guy Pearce- he can run the whole gambit, from bad Guy in Count of Monte Cristo, to good Guy in Ravenous, to tormented Guy in Momento. He is simply amazing- he could play the black sheep of a dark wizard family. And did I mention his cheeks bones? Percy Weasley: a very young Robert Sean Leonard- Dead Poets Society Leonard. And in Much Ado About Nothing his character, Claudio, is rash and quick to judgement, just like Percy. I always picture him when I read the books.
Voldermort: Jeremy Irons- that man can radiate evil. He scares me. Case made. Lucius Malfoy: Kiefer Sutherland- okay, right now he's Jack Bauer, hero. But the man can play bad so good. Remember Lost Boys? His portrayal of a white supremacist in A Time To Kill, He's played bad more than he's played good guys. He can drip with sarcasm. Of course is he plays Lucius I probably wouldn't despise him quite as much....

| Harry Potter- David Henrie: I have always thought that David Henrie looks like Harry. He has very piercing eyes and a very hansome face, and would make a good hero.
Hermione Granger- AnnaSophia Robb: She is beautiful, which I have always though Hermione is, and could play the know-it-all that you still love anyway.
Ron Weasley- Freddie Highmore: He is an amazing actor, and I think could do the transition from bumbling adolecent to hero very well. Plus he is adorable, and so is Ron.
Fred and George Weasley- Adam Hicks: He is already a red head, which is convienient, and has already played various troublemakers quite well. I would cast him as both twins because I always find that to be more impressive.
Ginny Weasley- Abigail Breslin: I think she is an amazing actress and would do Ginny justice. I think she would make Ginny very memorable.
Neville Longbottom- Chris Massoglia: He is beautiful, and such an amazing character should be played by someone beautiful.
Draco Malfoy- Jason Dolley: He has the right look for the part. He has very blue eyes and very blond hair. I think he could make Draco more likable, but still a giant bully.
Moaning myrtle- Chloe Moretz: She has astounding talent for one so young. She would make Myrtle very memorable even though she is not in much of the movies. Besides, she has already played a vampire, so it is about time to play a ghost of a witch.
Nearly Headless Nick- Hugh Laurie: He is very regal looking and funny at the same time.
Peeves: Alan Cumming: He is super michevious looking. He is also small and would be able to be very agile and flit around places, like he did as Nightcrawler in X-men.
Dumbledore- James Cosmo: I would have always liked to see James Cosmo in this role. He is very fatherly and loveable and regal all at the same time.
Snape- Malcolm MacDowell: He is one of the best at being super creepy. He would keep you thinking Snape was evil until the very end, but would still be believable as a good guy.
McGonagall- Meryl Streep: She can be super intimidating; just look at The Devil Wears Prada, but you would like her at the same time.
Hagrid- Aaron Eckhart: He looks like a big bear of a guy. Is adorable and intimidating at the same time.
Sprout- Melissa McCarthy: She is adorable and funny and would be an excellent Sprout.
Remus Lupin-James Franco: He is really good at being a tortured person. I think he would bring that into Lupin well by playing up the wolf side a little more.
Sirius Black- Johnny Depp: He is Johnny Depp. He can play anyone. But Sirius reminds me of Captain Jack, and I think Johnny would make an amazing Sirius.
Percy Weasley- Logan Lerman: He has already played a Percy and I think could make this one as likeable as he made the last one.
Voldermort- Jackie Earle Haley: He played Rorschach and Freddie Kruegar. He is really good at being creepy. And has the perfect villian voice.
Lucius Malfoy- Anthony Hopkins: He is an excellent villian and would make Lucius even more terrifying.

| Harry Potter - Thomas Dekker. Okay, we all know of my love for Thomas, but look how amazing of a (teen) Harry he would be. He's got green eyes already (Ignore the fact that his eyes look more blue in provided picture) and crazy hair and he's just an amazing actor. He'd be able to capture Harry as he grew from young teen to troubled teen to finally functional adult, he did so pretty well on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles anyway. Hermione Granger - Lily Collins. I think she'd make a great Hermione not just for her acting skill, but looks wise she's got the Hermione vibe going on. Her hair could be a bit more over exaggerated and you could put some contacts on her for the eye color, but other than that she really is perfect for the role because she'd capture both Hermione's overbearing side and her caring understated side. Ron Weasley - Adam Hicks. He's tall, he's got red-hair and freckles and he just overall reminds me of Ron. He could easily pull off being the being the best friend that is kind of always second best, already has played roles where he is quite a slacker and would work with the kind of temper that Ron can have as well. Overall, I just think he's the right guy for Ron. Fred and George Weasley - Emile Hirsch. I think he'd make a great set of twins so long as you did some movie magic and then went ahead and got him some red hair. He's had roles where he's been kind of the goof ball and I think he'd fit for both Fred and George. Not to mention his build is much like the books describe the twins to be. Ginny Weasley - Karen Gillan. Red hair, brown eyes, and a great actress. I think she'd make a good Ginny. She is obviously a very pretty person as she started out as a model and she proves that she can have the bravery and toughness of Ginny by her role in Doctor Who as Amy Pond. Plus, she'd look good with Thomas, so it's a win that isn't found in the movies. Bonus point, she's Scottish. Neville Longbottom - John Patrick Amedori. He's just so adorable and awkward, which is the perfect match for Neville. You could add on a couple of pounds for him and he'd be perfect. Watch him stand back and huddle away from Snape, fall off of a broomstick but at the end of the day manage to pull off some pretty B.A. moments. No one would be able to do it better than John. Draco Malfoy - Alex Pettyfer. He's got the looks of Draco pretty well down and could easily do his personality as well. As seen in the beginning of Beastly, he has no problems acting the stuck up spoiled type that ulimately does have a soul deep inside and is just trying to fit in with the world. Not to mention, he is actually a British actor! Moaning Myrtle - Jennifer Stone. Put her in some pig tales and I think that she could easily be the Myrtle that would both ace the crying and upset scenes, but provied some of the comedy that she did in the fourth movie. Jennifer wouldn't be afraid to put herself fully into the character and I think she'd do well in it. Nearly Headless Nick - Bill Murray. For some reason I've always pictured Nick as Bill, don't ask me why. Maybe because I can just see him as a ghost so easily. Maybe because I think that he'd be great at adding a bit of humor to Nick while still remaining serious. Either way, I think that he's perfect. Peeves - Dane Cook. He's a hilarious comedian and actor that isn't always the most appropriate. I think that he'd make a great Peeves because I can already see him just going ahead and coming up with all the little jingles that Peeves does. Plus, he does have that tendency to laugh at his own jokes and that makes him even more Peeves like. Dumbledore - Victor Garber. He'd make a great Dumbledore even if he's a little on the younger side for the role. Slap a beard on him and he could be the wise, caring, but yet still troubled Dumbledore that we all know and love. He'd be a good balance I think between the two actual film Dumbledores, bringing the grandfather like Dumbledore out as well as the moodier version when the time called for it. Snape - Hugh Laurie. I think he'd make a fantastic Snape because not only is he just a great actor, but he could easily play Snape with all the demensions that he has. He can be the mean, strict teacher with obvious favoritism and he can also be the man that never stopped loving Lily Evans Potter. He'd do the part just as much justice as Alan Rickman did. Bonus, he's British. McGonagall - Julie Andrews. I think that she'd rock out the part of McGonagall by being the tough, but fair teacher that cares deeply about her students and would do anything to protect them. We've seen that she can play a queen quite well and I think that in a lot of ways, McGonagall isn't too far off from a queen either, so it'd be perfect. She's also British, so more bonus. Hagrid - Mark Boone Jr. He's on the heavy side, he's hairy and he looks very rough around the edges. However, when he gets to smiling you know that he's a happy soul who would be very loyal to anyone that he trusted. He might be American and a little on the shorter side, but give him some stuff to help his height out and bam! The perfect new Hagrid. Sprout - Roseanne Barr. Although slightly more sarcastic in nature than I ever imagined Sprout to be, I have to say that she fits the looks pretty well and I think that she could pull off being the Head of Hufflepuff and nice Herbology Remus Lupin - A slightly older Jim Sturgess. I think that he could make a great Lupin because he could play the tortured soul, but yet mentoring hand very well. He could go from Professor to nonperfect werewolf and husband, but still ultimately loyal best friend to many. Also, another bonus point in the fact that he's British. Sirius Black - Rider Strong. Most people probably know him as Shawn Hunter from Boy Meets World, but that was over ten years ago now and he's grown up. He'd be the perfect Sirius for the fact that he matches the description I've always had of him in my mind. Get his hair a bit longer and slap a couple of tattoos on him and bam! Sirius Black at your service. It's probably because of his history as Shawn, but he could definitely pull off the whole misunderstood, but ultimately loyal best friend in the end really well. Percy Weasley - A younger Simon Woods. Well known to audiences as Mr. Charles Bingley in the 2005 Pride and Prejudice, I think that he'd be perfect for the role. Not just because of his red hair, but because of the fact that he'd obviously make a great Percy because he'd be able to well play the stuck up, overachieving older brother that follows orders from those in charge. I think he'd definitely have it in him to make audiences hate him but give Percy depth at the same time. Voldermort - Julian McMahon. Best known for his roles in Charmed and Nip/Tuck, he's the perfect choice for Voldemort. Let's face it, he's got a knack for playing evil characters and if you ever saw him on Charmed you know that he plays the demon figure quite well. He could be the imposing Voldemort from the books, easily power hungry and very angry. Lucius Malfoy - Jack Davenport. Anyone who has ever seen Pirates of Caribbean would agree with this choice. He's the perfect Malfoy from his demeanor to his looks. I think he'd be able to perfectly nail Lucius as the scared follower who often acts as if he's in charge, when we clearly all know that he's not. | |

Harry Potter Josh Hutcherson because he plays kind and compassionate in hunger games. Hermione Granger Jennifer Lawrence because she is kind and compassionate in hunger games Ron Weasley Theo James because he is awesome as four in divergent Fred and George Weasley max Schneider from how to rock, because he makes me drool. Two of him would be awesome. Ginny Weasley Shailene Woodley because she plays excellent characters. She has also done multiple movies at once, so could memorize her lines easily. Neville Longbottom Liam Hemsworth because he is brave in hunger games Draco Malfoy Chris Hemsworth because he is blonde and would rock as Draco.
Moaning myrtle Julie Andrews because my gut tells me she would have been perfect for this role. Nearly Headless Nick brad paisley because that would be cool Peeves Morgan freeman because he is an amazing actor.
Dumbledore Snape Toby Keith because the amount of things that he would do would be great.
