In GoF in the Chapter "The Death Eaters" we find an interesting delima. Who are the deatheaters Voldemort passes in silence? These are the deatheaters we know were there.

Avery
Lucious Malfoy
Wormtail
Macnair
Crabbe
Goyle
Nott

Ok, now we know about the faithful one at Hogwarts and thats Crouch which rules out Snape. However there is one too cowardly to return and one who he beleives has left service forever they are of coarse

The big question remains... Who did he pass in silence?

I have thought about this one a lot. I think they are his Deatheaters that JKR doesn't want us to know about. I think there are a few we think are good that are really working for Voldemort and that is who those Deatheaters probably are. I think we will find out in the 7th book.

yeah, but you guys, would she (J.K.) have even put him/her in if they weren't important? maybe I'm overestimating her writing...but that makes sense. She doesn't write down unimportant stuff...it all has a meaning, right? So I have absolutely NO clue who it was...I'm not that analytical...okay, well I am, but I just don't wanna go look right now. hehe. but, this is intersting me, so I'm gonna have to watch the movie again and reread that part!!

I'm pretty sure the Carrows were in Azkaban, but what about Dolohov, Yaxley, Greyback, Jugson, Mulciber, Selwyn, Rookwood, Rowle, Travers, or Wilkes? I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of these guys were in Azkaban, but I can't recall or find anywhere for sure.

I'm certain that like 80 percent of the Death Eaters were in Azkaban. Antonin Dolohov, Jugson, Bellatrix Lestrange, Rodolphus lestrange, Rabastan Lestrange, Mulciber, Augustus Rookwood and Travers were in Azkaban during this. Those who I know who were there was as Kate said Avery, Lucious Malfoy, Wormtail, Macnair, Crabbe, Goyle and Nott.

Now that remains of the DE is:
Regulus Black (he died),
Alecto and Amycus Carrow ( found in HP wiki it said

Bartemius Crouch Jr. (Was stuck with his dad)
Gibbon, Jugson, Thorfinn Rowle and Selwyn (HP wiki says it's not certain if they was sent to Azkaban or not)
Rosier (died I think)
Wilkes (killed by Aurors
Yaxley (returned after Voldie's rebirth)

So that leaves the Carrow's, Gibbon, Jugson, Thorfinn Rowle and Selwyn as the possible ones of being there. As for Greyback I don't think the Dark Lord let him join them until like the 7th book.
