Seamus Finnigan

What did everyone think of Seamus in book five, not believing Harry and purposefully avoiding him?

Seamus has always been a sort of...filler character to me. Someone with not much substance but to act as a peripheral friend for Harry, the main character.

But he was so quick to jump to conclusions that what Harry was saying wasn't true, that you have to wonder if Jo's got something else in store for him in book seven.

What does everyone else think?

Personally I dont like Seamus and that part in the book just made me dislike him further. He is a bit of a spare part in th books and I cant quite see what JK is planning with him in the last book

I personally love Seamus. I agree in the books he's much like a filler character. But in the movie's he's like comic relief! with everything blowing up and what-not.

lol yes that is true, though what do you think will be his position in the last book? Perhaps he may be a traitor to Harry, he has shown that he is not loyal to him when pushed already

He's funny but pointlessin my oponion.. he really doesnt add much

I think that perhaps he will become a traitor to Harry, I dont know I seem to be stuck on that. I dont mean that he will become a deatheater but he does have a coldness to him

I think that if Harry ever calls upon him, he wont be there. He will just watch. He isn't faithful to Harry as others so I doubt he will hepl but i dont think he will be a traitor

In book five Seamus was acting stuck up. He had to belive the whole
world on hw Voldy wasn't back. hary should've said leave the dorm, if
he was gonna act like that!

well he had not control over it, but it showed Harry not everybody thought he was a hero

I think we won't see much of Seamus at all. He is always just a sort of there character though I did not like him at all in book five I felt like jumping into the pages and punching him XD.
I don't think he would be a traitor to Harry and if so do you really think Harry would be that bothered if Seamus Finnigan decided to hate him. Seamus does not have enough evidence about Harry to really do him any harm unless he told some death eater about Ginny.

Lol i have to agree with some of u they rarlly show him i mean seriouslly, evden if he wasnt nice to harry in the 5th one ( i felt like punching my book but then again mine is a special one.) Go Gryffindor!

Seamus turned out good in the end afterall, which I expected. I didn't really think that he would be a traitor because he'sa Gryffindor! lol. umm.. didn't he help Neville with Dumbledore's Army?

ummmm....not sure what you mean about neville...

in the 7th book.. did he help Neville keep Dumbledore's Amry alive by resisting Snape and the DE's?

I think he might have but the main leaders were Luna and Neville right?

Yes, and Ginny. But the point was he was trying to help, not hinder, the organization and anti-Voldy movement.

I would think it was in the beginning when they were first organizing it. I would think they would have planned it on the train where they had there last breath of freedom.

Me too. I thought it was a really good thing to see them back there and using it to rebel again.

Seamus is a great character, I was a little sad when he was a jerk to Harry but he is still awesome

The only book I did not like Seamus in was the fifth book, and I always imagine Seamus to be gay. I have a theory that he did in fact come 'out of the closet' in fifth year. I don't know why I think this...i just do.

Nah, I don't like him at all. He was either cocky or completly stupid in the books. Also i think he might have been gay with whats his name, ermm.... the dude thats he's friends with yano?! lol

I always liked Seamus. Mind you, I wanted to kick him in the fifth book but he got over himself in the end and joined the DA! Wooo! And he fought in the Battle of Hogwarts. I think he's a great character despite being minor.
