| Cedric was alright, though I didnt really feel so much pain when he died - more thinking of 'whats going to happen now' and 'omg voldy is back' lol.
I dont think we really go to know cedric like we should have. If he had been more of a central character in the other books, I think that we would have felt more pain when he died

| I think he showed Harry how to play fair and act mature. I think he helped Harry grow up if anything. and yes I cried when he died | |

| Well, from what we learned about Cedric I liked. He seemed like a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. He had a great relationship with his Father. That says a lot about someone. He is a fair and just person. He didn't have to help Harry in the second task but he did as a self felt obligation. Shame he had to die. (He was really hot too) | |

| I didn't really think much of Cedric and didn't feel much emotion when he died. I think that JK should have given us more time and insight to his character to enable us to feel the emotion of his death more. | |

| Yeah, I agree. I actually found his death more sad in the film than in the book. There wasn't much substance to his character in my opinion. | |

| I didnt even feel sad in the film. I know why he died, to mark the beginning of the next war, yet I feel it would have been much better if cedric had been a bigger character throughout the other books | |

| I agree - his death was a 'reality check' for Harry and all of us, though again, it would have been more powerful for it to have been a bigger character | |

| o so you think that if percy died it would have had a bigger affect? in that case I agree, but percy had his faults, and cedric was a hufflepuff, he was good natured, kind, and he was alsways polite | |

| When I first started reading about Cedric I didn't like him much and just wanted Harry to win the war but near the end of the maze before they grabbed the cup I thought he was really noble and kind. I admit I did not cry when I read that probaly becuase I didn't have any feelings for his character. Like everyone else has already said I think he marked the start of the war but it was also crucial that he died for Harry to get with Cho. | |

| I'm the complete opposite of everyone else. Everyone but me loves Cedric but I found him annoying. Here's my reasons:
When Harry found out about the dragons, he came straight out and said, "Dragons are the first tack." And explained. Then, Cedric figures out the egg and all he says is, "Take a bath and bring the egg with you." What kind of reasoning is that? If it weren't for Harry, Cedric would have been the only unprepared one, but because of Cedric, Harry ended up late for the second task and not knowing what he was going to do. That to me shows that Cedric is not as good of a person as everyone thinks he is.

| Yeah, but again, I don't think Harry would have beleived him. Harry felt really alone and misunderstood because verybody was rooting against him so I think he would have been extremely reluctant to take his advice anyway. | |

| Eh, I have mixed feelings on Cedric. On one side, he did seem like a good kid (HUFFLEPUFF PRIDEEEE) and it was horrible that he died, but like Cassie said, he didn't come straight out and tell Harry what the challenge is, and even Harry admits it was a bit of a crappy hint. Haha, so I always had mixed feelings on him because I found him slightly annoying at times but he sure didn't deserve to die. | |
