Extra Credit Idea

I was just thinking, and came up with this idea.

What if there was an Extra Credit forum under the Classes thing?

The extra credit could be open to everyone. Students could write essays (any length) about any topic (associated with HP, of course) that they wish to discuss.

Points could be awarded by the mods according to length, effort (how hard the student worked to write the essay), neatly written, and if the essay is informative.

If someone submited a four sentence paragraph about the origin of a red cap, they could do so.

If someone wanted to submit an five hundred word essay about the origin of the phonex feather, then of course, they could do so.

So, if someone developed a sudden interest in something, they could write freely about it, and submit it, and try to earn points for it.

Mods would read the essays and decide on points. Points would not be required to be distributed to an author if the mods did not feel like the essay was a success.

They would simply not award points on a certain essay if they did not feel that the author deserves the points.

So basically, this would be a way for students to write about what they really want to discuss, while earning points.

I'm not sure if I explained my idea very clearly, but I tried.

Could this be a possiblity?

This is a really great idea and i am going to award you 10 points for it!
I will open up a forum with this idea in mind, though I would have to place a couple of rules otherwise people could submit anything!

I will go with this though as it is a great idea!
