The Snowman

Awwwww, it comes every Christmas!!!! Atleast in Finland. It's an animation based on Raymond Briggs' books, and it's been coming every single Christmas, as long as i can remember. And every time i have to watch it with a box of tissues. Sure, they don't talk in it at all, but the story is very clear in it, and i love the music, it's so sad.... *huggles the snowman* Has anyone else seen it?

I used to watch it along with Frosty the Snowman when I was younger lol cause my aunt had them both ^^ and I loved it so muchly XD I don't think she still has it though *sniffs* lol

Yeah, they show it every Christmas here too. Channel Four, I think And they always play this little bit beforehand...which IIRC is David Bowie in a really bad Christmas jumper, saying something about The Snowman capturing the spirit of Christmas.

I went to see a stage performance of it when I was younger at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

All I remember about it is some dancing fruit when they go and look in the fridge.

This film takes me back to when I was little...and I always used to think the Walking in the Air song was sung by a girl! I got such a shock when I found out it was a boy (Aled Jones)!

Although, did you know that in the actual film, it's not Aled Jones singing? It's some other boy, but Aled was picked to go on Top of the Pops to sing it, and then he became famous for that one song.

He's old now...I saw him on This Morning the other day doing a duet with himself (as in, singing Walking in the Air at the same time as a recording of himself when he was younger)
