Riddle of the Sphinx 17 - CLOSED

A new riddle for you to contemplate! There will be 30 points for the first person to PM me the correct answer, and 15 points for everyone else who gets it right.

I lure the deck hands, the captain’s men,
From their beds in their cosy den.
With my haunting song, they come near me,
And only then, can they see.
The ruined boats, of sailor’s past,
They’re not the first, by far the last.

This riddle is now closed. The answer to the riddle was siren. However, whilst this was the answer I intended, several people gave me the answer as mermaid. As these two creatures performed the same actions as the riddle described, I will allow both answers.
