| Meg Cabot is the author of The Princess Diaries, and many other young adult/adult books.
I for one love The Princess Diaries books. I got hooked on the series a few years ago, and I just received the eighth one, which I am currently reading.
I've also read "All American Girl", which I enjoyed, "Boy Meets Girl", which is written entirely in e-mails/notes and is good, from what I can remember, and "Nicola and the Viscount", which I can't really remember what it's about.
Of course, there are all of her other books too, which I haven't read.
Anyone else a fan of Meg Cabot?

| ohh you knew I'd come here first chance I got, didn't you? XD I am a huge fan, I love every single book she wrote as meg cabot...I never read those patricia cabot ones and don't think I ever will. but the princess diaries is my least favorite of all her series, because Mia gets me nervous XD. Also because in those books sometimes the entire book occurs over three days. Which also gets me nervous hehee. I love the humor in her books, they usually make me laugh out loud. Or at least broadly smile XD. Anyway the series I wanna read next is the 1800 missing you books. They were out of print for a while because she stopped writing them in middle--the publishing company dropped her XD because the books weren't selling. But anyway now a different company is reprinting them, and she finally wrote the last in the series, and from the excerpt I read it sounds just as good as her other books, so hopefully the library will get them in soon. :D Also, her site is fun. And so's her diary/blog...hehee it's usually funny as well. ^^ EDIT: ohh and she's coming out with soo many new books this year!

| I love Meg Cabot, but I'm not really into the Princess Diaries. However, I did love All American Girl and I've reread it often XD | |

| One thing that annoys me about Mia in The Princess Diaries is the unbelievable amount of self-doubt she has. She's always second-guessing her and the people around her actions, and that annoys me. Although I guess Meg Cabot's just trying to portray an insecure teenager :D
They are hilariously funny though, I remember laughing out loud on several occasions whilst reading them.
I'll have to look into reading some of her other books.

| yeah, they ARE good, but Mia gets me nervous. For the reasons you said and also because...I dunno, she so STUPID half the time. She makes so many wrong decisions. And she complains too much. Yeah, maybe Meg's trying to show how annoying whiny teenagers can be XD | |

| Can't say that i'm a fan, but i freaked out when i read the Princess Diaries... xD Mia's grandmother was like my, and even my mom agreed!!!!!
I've read all the Princess Diaries (the films suck btw..), Queen of Babble, Boy Meets Girl and... what's the name of that one book... xD Size 12 Is Not Fat, that's the name!!! :D
Anyway, i like her writing. She's funny. xD Like in Queen of Babble, i laughed how Lizzie (the main character) wanted diet coke so much that she almost started to cry when she finally got it xD All her books are funny, really... but i'm not a fan. The only thing i'm 'fanning' for, is HP. Rowling has my soul, wee....

| I just remembered I read the one called Size 12 is Not Fat too. I read it last year on holiday (and for some reason, when I read books on holiday, I can never remember the plot :D ), but I vaguely remember it was a murder mystery? I remember it was quite good. | |

| ohh yeah it was good...there's a sequel out, size 14 is not fat either, and there'll be a few more books in that series XD
yeah, in Queen of Babble everyone thinks she's insane for wanting to drink Diet coke...they're all horrified that she'd want to put all those chemicals into her body lmaoo...which a few British people I know have a problem with XD

| I read Queen of Babble in the Big City awhile ago which is a sequel to Queen of Babble and it was just as good as the first, funny and interesting. But I cannot BELIEVE Meg Cabot just left it with that cliffie. - Spoiler:
Now I'm really rooting for Chaz/Lizzie...I wonder who she's gonna choose?
Arrgh. EDIT: OMG OMG OMG I just won a free copy! Just by entering the contest thingy on her site! *dances wildly*

| I think the only book I've ever read by her is "All American Girl" (*can literally feel people jumping at her neck, forcing her to read more* .. well yes! XD XD)
.. anyhow, it was a fun book. Nice, fluffy and light, the kind of holiday read. :D Plus the guy (David, right? .. I'm terrible at remembering names xD) was really cute and of course I also liked the fact that they draw and talk about drawing. *nods* Yep, yep, anything that's got to do with drawing rocks xD
Oh and I know a similar story with a girl who doesn't want to accept her drawing style being "bent into shape" from real life. ... but I won't go telling you any long-wound anecdotes, because I might get slightly off-topic xD (plus that girl has got the lesson by now, and so has whatever-her-name-is-girl-from-the-book xD)
(told you my memory was bad xD)

| I have only fred the first Princess Diaries book but i saw both movies and I wasn't impressed with the book - it didn't really catch my interest, but now since I see how everybody's raving about about her, maybe I'll give some of her other books a try. | |
