For the first time in over 30 years, a new production of EQUUS returns to the West End, and Daniel Radcliff has a staring role with a few surprises of his own

oh no i think they are right to rate the pics, and the play is well, its very mature shall we say.

I posted a link to the pics in Dan Radcliffe's thread in the celebrity forum. I've read a bit about the play and it sounds very strange.

Do you think this will help or harm his career? I read a news article on Yahoo the other day, after the pics were released, and in it they quoted a Mother who had seen the pics, and she said that she wouldn't be taking her son to see any more Potter films, because by going nude he is being a bad role model.

In some ways I think it will help his career, if the play does well it will be seen as him branching out into more serious, adult roles.

I wonder how many Dan-fangirls have booked tickets for the show? Does anyone know if there's an age restriction on it?

i was wondering about that, because he will be appearing naked, there normally is an age restriction.

I think this willhelp his career, its a very bold move for someone so young yet he has his head screwed on and does not appear to be afraid of the challenge or the fact that one picture from the actual show will end up on the internet just like DT.

I don't like the idea of this play, a boy who blinds horses?! Messed up.

I think Dan's just personally destorying his carear.

Peter Shaffer I believe, and yes it is a weird psychological play, not a favourite of mine

It is a bit weird, the storyline of the play but I don't think this will hurt Dan in the slightest. He has more fan girls than most his age!

I hate to say it but I think this play will kill Dan's career, especially since he's taken on such a weird and demented role. I'm not too fond of seeing this play to be honest.

It sounds like a really intense play. If i were older i wouldn't mind seeing it...maybe with someone else in the nude role though. For me Dan is just too innocent to prance around naked on stage...it would be too weird after Harry Potter. I Suppose it being so different from HP would but good for the more maturer of the population (get his name into a broader age range at least).

if i were old enough (dang age restrictions lol...please, just cause i'm not a legal adult yet doesn't mean that i can't handle mature issues *rolls eyes* honestly you'd think teenagers were evil demented creatures the way some people treat us *gggrrrs and stops herself from ranting more*) so anyways, if i were old enough i would kind of like to see the play. Once at least. I mean i bet i wouldn't even like it at all...sounds creepy, but the discription is kind of intriging. *Shrugs* i don't have to like if i saw it.

yeah, but dan radcliffe and harry potter are synonymous. I can't imagine seeing dan somewhere and thinking "hey that's dan!" It would be "hey that's harry potter, played by dan!"

I know that sounds terrible, but in a way its a compliment...it shows that Dan can really get into his roles and play them well. Before HP, Dan Radcliffe was the little boy who played in a Dickens movie. Now he's Harry Potter, maybe later he will be this Alan guy.

As I said to swifty though, to me, he will always be that cute, skinny adorable little eleven year old who had his debut with two other just as adorable skinny eleven and twelve year olds...

Seeing Daniel Radcliffe naked on stage is LAST on my list of priorities. Images that are way too disturbing are entering my head, and I think I'd better go post somewhere else to keep the innocent 11-yr old Harry in my head...

I don't think Equus will ruin Dan's career. He probably accepted the role because he doesn't want to be known as "The Guy Who Plays Harry Potter" alone. He made a right decision.

This person on msn sent me a picture from the play and it was 18+ i know its great thats hes doing something different but really should they have plays where people walk around naked for half an hour? Its abit much isent it.

Someone shoot me...i so wanted to go see it. The dramatic storyline drew me in....
