HE and You!

HE and Me... hey! I made a rhyme! lol HE means so much to me. I only got into HP this summer, and no one knows but one person to this day, and with HE i don't have to keep my obsession all bottled up. HE was also my very first forum site, and now i'm a member of bunches. Though i'm most active here. HE is a great place to first jump into the forum scene, everyone here was very helpful, and even though it's HUGE, it's all easy to navigate.

All the people here are so nice, i've made a bunch of friends who I hope I can keep for a lifetime. Since I've joined HE, time has jumped by. Before the days seemed so long, because i'd sit around with nothing to do, or just chat brain-less-ly with friends. Now I chat brain-less-ly in chatbox! lol

What I love about HE the most, is how it's not all brain-less chatting. The Homework assignments require thought, and research. So you're actually learning things, and not just fictional things at that. Sure, some of the classes are mostly fiction (CoMC, Divination, etc.) but other's require real research (Arts, Muggle Studies, etc.) And with all the essays, RP novels, and posts written, i'm sure HE has improved everyone's writing styles. HE also causes people to expand their imagination, making writing much more interesting.

What I want to see continue here on HE, is... well everything! I love everything about this site, from the crashing chatbox, to all the typos people make when not thinking, to the newbie's we've scared away, etc. etc. Without all those things, HE just wouldn't be the same!

Well, everytime i was sick or grounded, or just on a bad mood, i went on the computer and wrote everything that i had on my mind, printed it and burned the paper. But when i joined HE, it felt like have a family ^^ Gotta admit that i got more and more addicted to it lol... yeah, even my friends noticed it! They started to drag me away from the computer but gave up when i rushed through the city to the nearest Library :D

Besides, i love all the randomness, hyperness, the same interests people have (not only HP but also movies, music, tv shows, books...), contacts all around the world, and not a day goes by without learning something new about a thing or two (like when Jesse learned about Geography *coughs*)

And i gotta say that HE keeps me away from trouble. Seriously! If i sit on the computer and annoy people, it's like 98% sure that the cops won't come and get me... if i don't hack in on someone's computer, that is rofl...

From the next year, i'm expecting pretty much the same; Nothing too planned. Full of surprises. CONFUSION!!!!! Crazyness, randomness... the normal everyday cyberlife at HE

HE is all in all the best place ever!!! ^^

I have to say that HE was my haven, whenever I was in the 'dog house' I came here, at first I only knew one person, but now I know lots of people, I'm made some great friends here. I think I really got into this site when I kept reading the LotD, it was fun and I came here everyday in the summer just to check it out. Now I come out of habit, and to chat to all you lovly people.

As Caree said above, if it wasn't for this place, I'd probabally be in jail or something.

I love this site so much, and the RP.

I first happened apon this place when I followed a link to the site Amy left on a graphics forum. I was hooked right away with all the great things this site has to offer. I made new friends right away as everyone was so friendly to me right at the beginning. Some of those friends are the closest ones i have. I am closer to some of them than I am with my friends in von-virtual land. I do love everyone here as everyone is so nice but I have to mention the ones here who have been here for me through so many things. I hold them very, very close to my heart.

I will start with my HE hubby and one of my closest friends Jesse (Fated4HP) He was the first one here to really talk to me. We shared many PM's as we still do and he was the one who showed me around the site. He never got impatient will all my link requests when I couldn't find anything and he taught me how to play quidditch when I made the team. We both go to eachother for advice and we both know the other is there if we need anything at all. I love you Jesse and thank you for everything! I love your speeches..they are quite interesting I must say, and there hasn't been a day that we have both been on here that you haven't made me laugh! It is scary I must say how alike Jesse and I are! I am a female version of him and he is a male version of me! We are both Slytherins, both obsessed with quidditch, both love to roleplay, both embrace evil and so many more things that I just can't list them all here. Yes he may be arrogant at times but that is just who he is...so get over it all you people who don't like that and take the time to really get to know him as a person like I have...he is awesome!!! You know I love you Jesse!! *huggles her Prince*

Next I would like to mention my dear friend Lily Flower (Lily/Veronica) This girl means more to me than any of you will never know. It is her I go to with all my problems and she always has the right solutions and knows the right things to say. She is a very trustworthy person, I trust her completely and I am so glad that I have her here. Without her i would simply be lost most of the time. She truly is amazing and anyone who does not know her well should make the time to meet her and really talk to her. She is smart, funny, a quidditch genious and such a great mod for the site. She works hard for HE to make it all fun for us and we should all thank her for her hard work! THANK YOU LILY!!! She also helped me so much when it came to quidditch! I took over the team temporarily when Jesse needed a break away to take care of some issues in the real world. And even though I knew how to play quidditch I had no clue how to organize a team. She was right there helping me every step along the way with advice and help. Even though she is on an opposing team, she stood by me and was there. Another fellow Ravenclaw of hers helped me as well and I will mention him a bit later. Lily and I are so much alike it is scary I must say! We have many of the same interests and the same way of thinking on most subjects. And we both absolutely love singing!! Maybe that's why we get along so well. I love you Lily! *huggles*

Next I would like to mention OUTxxWITHxxAxxBANG (jessie) My twinny! This girl makes me laugh every single day! her randomness and craziness is something I look forward to everyday! She has been dubbed my twinny as well as my crustacian sister...a long story on that one...xD...I talk to her about everything and I want to thank her for listening to all my endless rambling about this and that. She is always one to cheer me up when i am down about something with her randow coffee and taco speeches and her huggles and crazy advice! This girl is never, ever in a bad mood and never complains about anything. She can take a dramatic moment and turn it into something so crazy you forget what the heck was so dramatic in the first place!! I love you Jessie!! *huggles her twinny*

Next I have to mention my dear Jennifer Williams (Jenn) She is another i hold very close to me. The funny thing is the way we became friends in the first place. Something that the two of us need to thank Lily for. Most of you know the story about Jenn and I both wanting to marry Mischief Managed (Seamus) Back a while ago when I first joined. This situation would have made most girls hate eachother but instead it actually brought us very close together. Jenn is such a wonderful person who is able to keep some very good secrets and never, ever tells them to anyone. She is sweet and friendly and I am so glad I have met her here on HE! I look forward to talking to her everyday. She really is a ray of sunshine!! I love you Jenn! *huggles Jenn*

Like I said I love everyone here but there are a few more people I feel I have to mention. Castledown (Jimmy) is a great friend who has helped me so much in quidditch! He gave me some great tips and advice on how to pull things together and I thank him for that. He is also a very good friend and a great listener. He can turn bad situations into good ones with his humor and charm. I love you Jimmy!

Mischief Managed (Seamus) and Boggartntheclose (Drake) Have also become very good friends of mine. Always friendly and there for me when i need to talk. And Seamus is always there to RP with me on either HE, world or in AIM when I am bored! I love you both!

Elana is another one who I love here. She is always sweet and friendly and a great friend to talk to I enjoy our lovely little chats. She is the best!! Love you Elana!! *huggles her stepmommy*

I cannot forget Raistlin the Wizard. He is the only one who gets away with calling me Snapey! He has mentored me in dueling and is always there when I need someone to vent to as I am always there for him when he needs a friend to vent with! I love you Raisty!! *huggles her godfather*

Wow...this is long already and still so much more to say!

The world of HE to me, is a place to escape the outside world. Not too many people around me are big Harry Potter fans and I don't have too many to share my debates and crazy ideas with on the subjects. But here is where the people have the same crazy addiction I do. They don't think I am weird for being so hooked on books and fictional characters because they are all the same as me!! I love you guys! You are all like my family!! *huggles everyone*

The things to do here are great and I have actually learned quite a few things by taking some of the classes! I never thought that would happen until I started doing them. All the research you have to put into them makes you learn new things about the subjects you are looking up! I am so excited and thankful to be made a Professor! I love teaching herbology! It is sooo much fun!

My writing skills have improved here as well thanks to the great hall forum with all the roleplay threads! Jesse, Seamus and Jessie are my favorite RP buddies! We come up with the craziest storylines and have a blast playing them out! *huggles the great hall*

The chatbox was one of the best things to ever come here. This is where so many of us really got to actually know eachother. Yes, in the house chat we typed back and forth but we didn't get to know others personalitites as well until the beloved chatbox came along! *huggles the chatbox tightly*

I will say that I will never be the same again after happening apon this wonderful site, and in a good way. I have learned much, made wonderful friends and just enjoy being here. We have the crazy family tree which is a riot! One of my favorite things here. I have been engaged, a few times, married, divorced, married again (which this time I have met my match and will keep him forever), been adopted, I have adopted, i have been unadopted, i have unadopted, i have been readopted by a new mommy and Daddy and I unadopted a child and then readopted her a week later! Goodness! All of that in just under 4 months! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! *dances with the family tree*

Quidditch is a great love and passion of mine. I was lucky enough to get a starting position on the team shortly after I first joined here. I have to say it is my favorite thing to do on here. I love to be creative and quidditch allows me to do that! *huggles and kisses quidditch*

Dueling is another great thing I have come to love here much for the same reasons as quidditch. It gives me a chance to be creative and competitive which I love because I am a competitive person! MWahahahahaa!! Fear me in the dueling arena!!!

So I want to thank Elfie for giving us this oh so wonderful site of the Hogwarts experience. Your creativity has brought myself and so many of us great joy, a cure for boredom, great friends, excellent topics to discuss and an escape from the chaos of reality! Thank you so much! I really do love it here! *huggles her Mummy in law*

What I would like to see happen in the next year is just more crazyness, friendships and more awesome topics to discuss on this lovely site. It has sooo many great qualities I can't see where it need much improvement!

I was inspired by my amazing mother Snapy_girl or the rest of u know her as Sky or Nancy to write in this thread. my fingures at the moment are really cold so i'm wearing gloves so don't mind my spelling XD!

but anyways i woyld like to say that without this site i wouldn't of known that snap was innocent, and yes i will admit i'm not so much agaist dramionie as i used to be! XD

i would thank my mommy for adoping me because if she hadn't i would of felt really lefted out. She even helped me when my rp charecter was looking for a bf and Sky helped her to find seamus!

I would like to thank my cousin Eryn (dancing, or Dani) for continuing to get onto this site after i showed it to her, also for reminging me to do site hw XD. We really helped eath other out of our shells.

this site has helped me to somewhat reach my goal to stay up all night, so far i've gone to 5 am before i have to go to sleep! and it has also brought my writing skills to life, being able to constantly to write and type. which remends me is has also helped me with my typing skills too!

Thankyou Elfie for coming into the hpff chat room and telling us all about this new site that you brought up! it has been a wonderful experience and i wouldn't be surpised if it just kept on building up!

I love all of you guys, my mommy, new daddy, my siblings, and my couin, and the rest of our crazy family tree! it's nice to know that i'm not the only random harrypotter crazed person out there! and i look forward to many for years of more randomness and to hufflepuff winning the house cup! XD

Wow, where to start after all of these posts?

I came to this site after Sharon choke slammed me whilst in the HPFF chat room almost a year ago (okay well maybe no choke slammed but it was something similar! XD ). In all honesty, I don’t think many for us would be here if it weren’t for the friendships we forged in the HPFF chat room a year ago. We owe a lot to them, so Thank You HPFF.

My time at HE has been eventful and fun, it been a get away from things which just became to tough. So many wonderful people on here who have shown nothing but love, we became a regular family which keeps on growing every day.

Even though some of my much loved friends are still here *waves at her girlies and pulls out weed killer with big grin.* I can not help but miss the ones who have been gone for a while, friends like Stealthy, who would make me laugh when all I could do was frown, he used to sing old Geordie songs with me in the Chat Room. *huggles missing Stealthy* And we cant forget the lobely Roman, so kind and caring, I remember when I came out of hospital last year and I had an IV drip which I kept popping or pulling out, he used to tell me off, he talked me through my fears of my health and that’s what made him so special, he was there for us all to turn to, you new members (those who don’t know the true Roman) are being deprived.

Of course I can’t think about HE and me, without remembering that PM I received off Elfie on March 31st 2006 telling me I had been successful and the Divination job was mine, it was funny because everyone else had done really long important reasons why they should teach this or that subject and I simply put, “Elfie, I am looking into my crystal ball and I can see you giving me the post of Divination Prof.” and she did, actually ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you I’ve always been right about certain things and predications *points at DancingSunset* she knows what I mean.

My time at HE has been eventful to say the least but I wouldn’t still be here without the following people, my lobely Girlies!!!!

Lily, you are like a sister, we've had a fallen out, we cleared it up, and now we're working hard and as a tea on you know what. I just wanna say a big thank you for making e feel included in HPFF chat, for talking to me when no one else would, i remember it all clearly. You've never forgotten about me, you have always made me smile i all i ever wanted to do was frown, you help me see that i am not alone when i have problems and i know your always there.

Zubz! My girl, where are you now? I feel like ive lost my puppy you're a great laugh, you stuck up for me alot in hpff you read my fics and printed them off and handed them out at school (like i was ever going t forget you did that!) i wish you were here now, simply because ive not had a reason to be mad and hyper.

HE and Me!

It is difficult as a new member to feel the way others do, bringing up memories and so forth, but although I have not been as active as most, I have felt that this site was a welcome escape from the everyday stresses of life and a place where I can be myself. Although I have not met many people to a great extent, this site has such a friendly feeling that it is not a surprise why people feel right at home here.

Hopefully in the following year, as my little one goes to preschool, I will be able to take some time from the mundane cleaning and get to know you all more.

Wow. I've been a member of HE since Oct. but wasn't really active until the end of Nov.

When i became a more active member I was very happy. everyone here is nice and I felt very welcome. Soon after i became more active, nancy adopted me as her first HE child. I got unadopted a month later and jess then adopted me. Then, nancy readopted me and now jess is my sissy.

I have adopted Agatha so i am now an HE mommy as well.


I love RPing and talking about ships. I love all the clubs that are here and all the fun HP stuff. I've made a ton of new awesome friends and i've found people who have read some of the other books i love too.

There are way too many times for my tiny sugar filled brain to answer. What a moment to have- as eryn calls it- "Blond Blood". HEHE.

I just remembered something! XD when i first met jack!!!!! I teased him for something and he told me to shut up. Then, i told him to shut up. We dueled then. Next, his HE mom jessie, told us to stop and sent us to our corners. (I still get sent to my corner all the time!) Jess came in and at the time, she was Jessie's mom and therefore, Jack's grandma, she watched us while Jessie was brbing. Jess then gave me a fudge pop and Jack two! Well, Jack showed off his "kindness" and gave one to jess.

Let me tell you something- Jack and I are engaged now XD

I remember when i got an HE daddy. Yeah that was awesome. My daddy spoils me rotton.

Anytime i "crucio" any of you- remember my mommy, my daddy, and my step daddy are ALL slytherins! Bad influnances i tell ya!


I think that i have made some of the BESTEST friends ever here. The late weekend night talking with you guys is some of the best times. I'll never forget when Tristan signed up and Jesse turned into Jesse-ca. hehe. That was SOOO funny.

Nancy- you've been so nice to me from the start and i really appreciate that. Your my HE mommy and one of my best friends. Your always there when i need to talk and support me. I can not explain how much i appreciate you.

Jessie- You as well have always been sooo nice to me (like everyone has) and again i truely appreciate you! You're really funny, a great writer, and an awesome 'send becca to her corner" person. hehe. Your constant protests to me and jack getting married always made me laugh- especially when i was down. You as well are a great friend.

Jenny- hehe. Your almost never ending protests to me calling you jenny was so funny. Finally, you realized i would never give up and just let me call you jenny. THANK YOU. hehe. God, I really don't know where the heck i'd be without HE. It's hard to imagine my life without it. How many times have i heard 'Rebecca Marie turn off that laptop this minute!!!!" in the past couple months????? A LOT. XD When things got tough you were all here and i thank you oh so much for that. You'd tell me to cheer up and move on- not to worry about those losers and i appreciate that soooooooooooo much! *huggles everyone* Now, nobody has to come and kick their butts (the losers i mean) cuz i was "voted" back in XD


I've grown so much as a person. I've had so many laughs and all out fits of laughter where my mom or dad or sister will say "Rebecca what the-" XD

I am so glad I found HE. I feel so accepted here and I feel so welcomed. I found the site by a link from some user who joined some forums at acciofirebolt.com. I clicked on the link and decided what the heck, why not create an account. So that’s how it all started. I almost instantly started doing the homework and challenges, which I thought were fun. Then I decided to post in the Slytherin Common Room thread. Everybody said hi and then Nancy (Snapes_girl) asked me to go to the chatbox cause she wanted to talk to me. That’s how I met her and Jesse (Fated4HP) and they adopted me. From there I went on to RPG threads and continually going to the chatbox. I have met so may nice people on the chatbox: Kim (Accio_Harry), Agatha(Agatha Black),Amber( amberg93), Holly(Brunette), Valerie (CloakedSchemer, Dani (Dancingsunset), Amy (Duck the Duck), Elana, Sharon (Elfie Dumbledore), Lifey (Life is 42), Veronica (LilyFlower), Aliza (littleprincess_01), Megan (Megan Potter), Jessie (OUTxxWITHxxAxxBANG), Kate (Rigby Dumbledore), Lisa (running_swift), Cristina ( SilverLady), Lily ( skatinglils), Streams( streams of silver), Becca (The5Potters), and of course Nancy and Jesse, and so a few more peoples too.

When I first joined I was kind of in a depressed state for reasons I don’t even know and being so welcomed by everyone just cheered me right up. And I am glad to have people to talk to now, thanks to HE, about any problems I am having. I can barely talk to my friends at school about my problems, which hasn’t been doing any good for me. Everyone managed to keep me from slipping into a major depression when my cousin Billy went into the hospital, which would have most likely happened. I love HE, it is such a great site with so many great things. * Huggles HE and all its greatness *

I have barely been here a week and feel almost as if I have been here forever. I know cheesy line to use, but it is true. I can even say I have had some fun, entertaining moments with some of these people. I mean watching two people fight over adoption in the chatbox is hilarious. Going on this site gave me a push in my creativity, showing myself what I could do. I hope later this year I will be a little more active and more comfortable joing in on rpg threads.

HE and me...

.. a lovestory which started about a month ago.. acutally, in 2 days it will be exactly 1 month since I joined! - see how well I remember? This means that the last month has been a really cool one because I've had the chance to escape reality just a bit and come here and just relax for a bit with you guys!

In the last month, I've learned to be a good Gryffindor (correct me if I'm wrong XD) and of course, defend my house, whether it be in the GHCR or in the chatbox! And I've also got to know some of you, even though I'm still relatively new to the place - well, this forum is SO big, it's almost impossible to post everywhere and get to know everybody!

But I am happy to say I do belong to a HE family already - as soon as I had my own welcome thread, I was invited by Aliza (littleprincess_01) to be her daughter, and she's my mommy ever since! As soon as I reached second year, I wanted to have a HE-kid, and this happend one lovely evening (err night..) in the CB, when Becky (rip_dogfather) became my daughter! And Aliza became a granny.... *grins*
So I'll take this chance to greet and huggle muchly my mom and daughter and all my other relatives: Katie my sis, Nancy and Jesse - my grandparents and everybody I might not yet know about *blushes* .. the family tree is huuuuuuuge! XD

Another thing I've began in the relatively short period while I've been here, is making graphics: Amy - who also did my amazing siggy - recommended some free progammes, I've tried one of them and hey presto! - I'm begining to have fun with pics - even though I've still got a long way to go XD

And another thing - in the last month, the frequency of when I hear my parents shouting "Turn off that computer!" has risen. Ooooops! XD Anyway, so has my HYPER-NESS! XD And my ADDICTED-NESS to this omgsoooloooovelyyyy forum! *squeeee*

HE and Me. What a long story that would be. And no I am not deliberately trying to rhyme. I suppose it just comes out naturally. LoL Well, to start in the beginning I learned about this site in HPFF’s infamous chatroom about a year ago. Little did I know how much my life would change with a click of a button. Literally. Here is where I’ve found the most wonderful people ever. (And some not as wonderful but don’t worry I still love you all :D jk) I joined and promptly became sorted into the Hufflepuff house. Although I must admit I originally wanted to be in Ravenclaw with my wonderful friend Trish, I got caught in the whirlwind of chaos called Hufflepuff. I must admit the first term, I was more or less the “nerd” of the site. Determined to do every single homework as soon as it was posted, I was on everyday but didn’t become close to many people. When I wasn’t up to my ears in homework, I did join the dueling tournament and ended up to semifinals.

I also joined the Quidditch team, although not by choice at first. Ginny sent a pleading PM out for assistance during the first game when she was the only one on the field. Flisan and I came running as a replacement for the game. Unfortunately I became hooked and nearly a year later I am still on the team. Although we’ve had our ups and downs, downs as in lazy moments, overall we’re a wonderful house and team and I love everyone in it.

Second term was when the real fun started however. I soon discovered the joys of the chatroom and getting to know people in it. Slowly as I grew closer and closer to people on the site, I found myself racing to get on MSN everyday to talk to people. As Elana stated before it was in her wedding preparations that I became closer to her as well as Drake too. Now I can’t imagine life without you two! Although Elana I can’t believe you mentioned our planning! For the record Nancy our planning was purely all talk and we never would have acted on it. LoL and it was definitely way before I found out how wonderful you are. And everything did turn out for the best. Long live Senn, Nesse, Drana, and Rily!

So many events HE has brought and I’ve had a blast in each one. From The Battle of the Bands, to Lord of the Dance, to the Big Brother competition. I can’t even begin to mention everyone that I love so much on here. So I won’t :D You all know how much I love you! I love each and every one of you for who you are. You’ve been an outlet for my sad times and stress. And HE is literally my comfort home away from home. I just need to come on here and I lose myself in the excitement that HE brings. Not to mention how wonderful it is to be around people that doesn’t view my obsession with Harry as strange. I look forward to anything else that HE has in store for everyone next term. Bring it on!

Well back when i first joined up in March (my friend Ruby's birthday to be exact) i was...unsure of what to expect, and kinda intimidated by it all. But after a lot of... elly tryna convince me I started out in the chatroom. The first thing I remember is jesse calling me aziza XD. I laughed so much that day! And then I got one of the all famous speeches and…yeah.

After hanging out in the chatroom and getting to know some people I actually went on HE, properly *blushes* I know it sounds uber stupid but I was scared...

And then I fell in love with the site – namely playing games and hanging around community. But still never doing homework – but you gryffies managed well without me!
Then all the family tree business began! I don’t think I’ve ever been so confused as I was when everyone went adoption crazy. But amongst the madness of all the adoptions (back in their first marriage) ginny and jesse adopted me. This was when ginny had only 6 kids…it seems like sooooo long ago! I miss them days…when I actually knew who my siblings were! XD

And so it continued…life and the madness of HE.

Now what comes next? Methinks I’m probably missing out huge chunks here but oh well! (oh wait….this is when I stopped coming on HE…I still went in chat but that was about it) So…where was i? oh yeah! The QWT. Well due to technical diffiulties I wasn’t able to get on the site enough to do the riddles and then I tried the riddles and they confused me muchly. So I enlisted help – mainly flissy. XD. Well I think during this time she got to see the part of me that not many people have – the part of me that is just plain thick! And there was also a helluva a lot of confusion so….that was madness. Oh….good times. What happened to flissy? Why doesn’t she come on anymore? I MISS HER!!!!

Anyway…moving on. I became obsessed again… this site is too addictive! And things happened…normal HE stuff I guess…nothing really springs to mind.

Oh wait! I remember something! I think it was around this time…or it may have been before that jesse appointed me as his ‘relationships advisor’ ha! I had so much fun tryna tell him what to do…twas pure brilliance.

And then….i think this when I got unaddicted again and took another break…but I still when into chatroom oftenly.

And then nothing sticks out really…until BB. I loved the madness of BB and I miss it! Anyway… this is when I first properly spoke to raisty…and when the whole issue of my name started ^^ me and raist argued quite a bit but it was all for fun and mneh…

And that brings me to now. Now I am obsessed with HE and spend…as much time as possible in it. XD I owe HE and Sharon a lot… the awesomest website in the world has provided me with a lot of when otherwise I would be complaining of boredom and also some awesome friends. (rai…in case you were wondering…you do qualify as one of these...despite all our never ending arguing i love you really) XD

I've put off writing something for this thread, because I didn't know where to start. There's so much to say, but I know that whatever I write won't come close to how much I love HE and everyone on the site.

I suppose I should start at the very beginning - as that's a very good place to start :D (*is reminded of the times when Marie, Lisa and Emma, I think it was, used to randomly sing SoM*) This time, a year ago, there was no Hogwarts Experience, I don't think at this time Sharon had thought about making the site (though I can't be sure on this). It was around this time last year that the HPFF scavenger hunt was on, and when I spent a lot of time in the HPFF chat. HPFF was where I became friends with a lot of the original members, especially Sharon, Marie and Lisa. I vaguely remember PMing them on the HPFF forums and asking for their MSN addresses. So I guess we have to thank HPFF for the start of our friendships.

Anyway, I joined the site shortly after Sharon created it. I think we were all in a MSN convo and she asked us to join, and I think I was hooked pretty much straight away. I recall that the very first piece of HE homework I ever did was an astronomy class “Create Your Own Galaxy”. I remember we were always telling people in the HPFF chat to join the site (which kind of annoyed their mods, but anyway...), and so a lot of the first members were people from HPFF - and a lot of them are still here today.

I've been part of forums before, but never become so involved with one as HE. Before, I noticed a lot of members on different forums seemed to forge strong friendships, but I never had that before HE. For me, HE is more than just a website, it's a family of friends and people with the same interests, and I feel really close to several of you, and good friends with a lot of you.

So much has happened on the site over the past year, and just thinking about some of the events and different things we've done makes me smile. At the start, I participated in the events a bit more - things like Battle of the Bands (which was so fun!), and Lord of the Dance, but more recently I've been involved in the planning and plotting of events - which I love too.

Some of the times in chat were crazy and mad - Jesse's glue incident to mention but one, the time when the mods went mad with changing our names to mention another. Then there were the insane skype calls with Marie, Sharon, Lisa and Etta, which usually sees us dissolve into fits of giggles and not be able to talk (or breathe!) for a while. I remember when Sharon said she was putting her speakers on her head, and then dropped them in her cup of tea (I'm laughing just remembering), and the time when we were in a call the day after Sharon's wedding. We were playing a game called Bomberman on a games site at the same time as being in a call, and we were hyper and mad and laughing a LOT...good times.

What else can I say? There are times when I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't gone into the HPFF chat last January and made friends with the people I did. Would HE still have come about? Would I have known about it? Would there be a hippo?

Oh, and speaking of the hippo - I think I'll tell of how he came to be (not that I can really remember exactly, but I have a pretty good idea.) We were having a discussion about when you stand in a doorframe, press the backs of your hands hard against the frame, count to 30 seconds, step forward and your arms will float upwards on their own. Somehow, this discussion got combined with talk of a hippo, a cupcake, a plastic tree leg, and so it became a "tree legged hippos dancing in doorways eating plastic cupcakes". Then somehow on HE the hippo became our mascot...

I remember the time *checks date* the...26th March 2006, when the site's server went down for a few days. Well, did we panic! Luckily, the very first chat room we had was on a different server, so we all gathered there and panicked together about the fact that all we were getting were "page cannot be displayed" errors. When we eventually got the site back, quite a few posts had been lost - I distinctly remember having to mark a CoMC homework by Jesse from memory, because although he had done it, the site had eaten it.

Over the past year HE has grown so much, and we've seen people come and go, but there have always been four constants, four people who I have really come to rely on and consider close friends. Sharon, Lisa, Marie and Etta - you've been such good friends, and we've had some mad skype convo's and calls...and trying to do that thing that we haven’t managed to do yet because we’re all insane and can’t stop laughing :D *huggles them all* I hope we stay friends for a long time yet.

I suppose I should wrap this up now...but Lisa's just reminded me of how the hippo came into the conversation! I'd been watching an interview with an actor from the programme "Wild at Heart", and he said something about hippo's being more dangerous than rhinoceroses - and I said that in the HPFF chat and so that's how the hippo’s came about.

Anyway, I can't believe that it's been almost a year since HE started. These past few months have flown by so quickly - it seems like only yesterday we were planning song parodies for the Battle of the Bands, and making innumerous items of merchandise for that event, when in reality it was only a little over a year ago. It feels like I've known everyone for ages, and I can't remember what going on the internet was like before HE. I know that I didn't spend as much time on the internet as I do now (although that might have to do with the fact that this time last year, we were all still sharing one internet connection).

How many people can say they have friends all over the world? Friends that they talk to on an almost daily basis? We at HE can, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

I would like to say thank you to everyone who helps make this site what it is - the members and the mods, but especially Sharon - Elfie. She puts so much work, time and effort into this site, so she deserves especial thanks and huggles.

I guess I'd better round this up now (although I could probably ramble on for a while yet...), as I don't want to bore you with my random memories, though there are many more I could talk about!

Oh wow… so many things to say, so few ways of expressing them… Like Amy said, it did all begin with HPFF, even though some people might hold a grudge against them, we have to give them what is theirs – if we hadn’t met and talked and gone crazy in their chat, I do wonder if this site would have come into existence. Maybe it would have though some of us wouldn’t have been part of it, who knows. But I’m glad it is what it is and I wouldn’t want it to change.

So like said, if all began with HPFF chat… first time I went in there was in December and Lisa (Swiftie) was the first one I really met… and I remember thinking she was a guy XD mostly because I hadn’t realized yet that the population of guys on that site was very low, and also because her font colour was brown. Random I know but how many girls write in brown may I ask you?

So anyway… next one I met was Amy, and then Sharon. And like I often like to say… when meeting Sharon, I was looking for a banner, but instead I found a friend. And every time I went into that chatroom I was looking for my three lovely girlies lol (hadn’t met many other people at the time) and I also remember that every time one of us went into another room, the other followed… and that’s when we started calling ourselves the four stooges XD remember that one girls? lol and one day I came into chat and they were all talking about hippos dancing in doorways while eating plastic cupcakes or something like that and I thought them all completely insane XD and surely I can’t forget the many breaking into songs from the Sound of Music with Emma! I haven’t talked to you in ages girly XD but I still wove you lol and your coffee and skittles addiction

Then I decided to make my own site. A rpg site (meh… XD) in which very few people joined lol and it never got really big, got deleted after two months or so XD but anyway. Apparently, that’s what gave Sharon the idea of making HE, so if I gave her a tiny bit of inspiration I’m really glad I have. I especially remember coming onto msn one night after school and getting dragged into one of these crazy conversation we often had, and then Sharon giving me a link which confused me because it was so similar to mine (at the exception of one word), and when she told me it was the site she had made I went on it and signed up. It would be lying to say I immediately got hooked up. It took me two days XD lol

I got sorted into Hufflepuff and that’s when my love of badgers truly began, even though I had already made it clear before that this yellow and black house was my favourite. Friendship and loyalty, what else is needed when you have that? So anyway… I got made House of Head along with Cill (who disappeared… I miss her )

During that time we were still going into HPFF chat, though less frequently, but still going. That’s when I met Ettie. The first thing I remember if her reading one of my Remus/Tonks fic and scaring the heck out of me because she was mad I had killed Remus XD well not really mad but we all know how expressive she can be lol. I was so hyper when she got sorted into Hufflepuff, along with Flissie.

First homework I did was a History of Magic one (XD) about the Salem Witches. That’s when I subtly asked Sharon if I could be made History of Magic teacher, which she agreed to, being crazy as she is since I’m such an irresponsible professor lol, but anyway XD

Next thing I remember was Battle of the Band. I think it’s my most vivid memory of the first term at HE, we had so much fun! Nothing could ever beat that, and I was so excited when Badger Unleashed won it! *sighs dreamily* anyway XD lol

So many other things which we cannot forget! The down time of the site, Faith’s death (missing you sweetie), the several chatrooms including Java! The beginning of the HE family tree (which, for the record, I *never* asked to be put at the top of! *glares at Jesse*) along with my 6 beautiful daughters and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and etc… and then all the weddings coming along with that, Jess and Jesse getting married and divorced so often that it was very hard to keep track of it… my many fights with Stealthie when I stole his nose! That was so hilarious! Dear Stealthie, I miss you...

And then Sharon and Mick’s wedding! The planning and all, our skype conversations trying to hide it from her… dear God I remember once when I was recording my song for them, which was my present, I said something about it (something like brb, I’m gonna go record the song now) in the wrong window, where Sharon was! I don’t even think she noticed but I was sooo scared of ruining all the surprise after all the effort we had put in to hide it lol. And then when we finally gave it to her and Mick, I remember we decided to go into a convo to hear her reaction – and hear her cry mwahaha – and it was so great…

Dear Skype… our many conversations are somehow part of this site, like Amy said, when having trouble breathing and talking because we laughed so badly! And oh dear I had forgotten about the time when Sharon had tied her speakers to her head because of the echo or something? Oh! Echo! That too I can’t forget, Lisa saying “Echooo” in her tiny voice every time there was some in the convo… XD

Anyway… I’ll try getting to the point now lol. Lots of people tell me that friendship can’t be found on the internet – at least not real friendship. I agree with them to a certain degree. There is a lack of physical and visual contact which cannot be replaced by anything, but it doesn’t make the feelings weaker. The friends I have found on this site, and hopefully will keep for a very, very long time, mean the world to me. We really are a great community, a big and loving family with it’s small fights and quarrels, even though we could never be separated. I really hope this site will stay into existence for a long time, even after we can no longer take care of it. We should give it to our children when we’re too old for it! XD

Sharon, sweet elfie, my dear friend who is like a big sister to me, thank you for your patience, for your kindness and generosity, for giving me great advices and always trying to make me feel better. You are the most precious jewel there could be.

Amy duckie, thank you for making so many graphics for me that you now have a folder with my name in your computer! Thank you for letting me ramble even when I talked about things that made you feel uncomfortable, thank you for helping me in your own way, thank you for being my friend.

Lisa, no longer 16 going on 17 but still as hyper and random as ever. Thanks for always being there for me, to listen to me and comfort me, even when your own dear golden heart is not at its best of shapes. And remember sweetie, always keep it open.

Etta, my own little ettie of my heart, my badger girlie whom I love so much. You have given me so many frights and laughs this year! Thank you for being patient with my constant nagging for rping, thank you for our many shared pm last autumn when we could no longer be online at the same time, thank you simply for being yourself, my friend who I love with all my heart.

Raistlie, I can’t forget you can I! My husband! You know, I remember clearly our first msn conversation when you mentioned the fact that you preferred guys to girls and I remember thinking… God, what a lost for woman kind! And I still think it lol I love you a lot my lovely husband, thank you for saying yes to me when I asked you to marry me even though you had said no to many other girls, and I love you even with your temper and duelling obsession!

I wish I could name all of you, seriously! Elly, Aliza/Copper (XD), Jenn, Dancing, Emma, Lily, Nancy, and all the others! Amber, my Charmed girly! Jesse with his devilish smile and delusions about a fan club XD seriously I would spend the whole night telling you all a little something coming from my heart if I could, but I have to stop this here. I don’t love you all less for it, you are my big internet family, so important to me, and I love you all even if sometimes I might not give that impression.

HE and me… hmm… well, it’s been a long time, most certainly. I believe I was the 7th person to join it, back on the 22nd February 2006. See, Elfie actually created it VERY late at night… XD Then she came and bugged us all in HPFF Chat about it, so naturally, one does what one has been asked to do. And boy was I glad I did.

HE has been a really fantastic journey, of sorts, for me. From meeting such amazing friends, participating in some crazy random events, and just posting randomly. Oh, and being top poster for the first few months or so! (But then Amby and Ginny came along… XD) The first memory I had of HE was the Games – I became besotted by them (hence the big post count thing…). That all stopped around April/May – exams and all.

After exams, I became more addicted. Even on holiday, I spent as much time as I possibly could on HE, drawing what little time I had in the small hours of the morning whilst I watched the sun rise over Hong Kong. True, I wasn’t one to do all the homeworks – I left that to my trusty husband, WaterLily. She was the homework-doer; I was the slave-driver. I do believe it got some people scared of me at one point. But, as you all know, it paid off – Gryffindor won the first House Cup, and don’t think they won’t do it again!

The first term of HE was, I think, the most enjoyable. We grew from hardly any members to loads, Sharon and Mick got married, so much happened, and people made friends, and have most certainly kept them. We had our tragic moments, for sure; I’d just like to take this moment to remember Faith, a courageous and loyal Gryffindor, who was loved by everyone who knew her. She’ll always be in our hearts.

As the second term started, I was up and ready to dig myself into another HE year. Gryffindor were in high spirits after winning the first House Cup – it was all the more reason to try and get it again. The whole of the second term brought the ups – Gryffindor now have the largest number of Professors at HE – and the downs – just take a look at one of their Quidditch matches. Suffice to say, they weren’t absolutely horrible, but, of course, there is a slight doubt as to whether or not our Quidditch skills match our academic skills.

For me, being part of HE is about the fun; it’s about something to look forward to. This past year has been exhilarating in the least. There’s a trail of a buzz in the air once I get home; I’m safe in the knowledge that I’m not going to be just doing homework all night. I know that there’ll always be something for me to do, whether it’s just one post in a common room, or an actual class which has been in preparation for a while.

I’ve realised now that I’ve been entirely serious throughout this whole reflection of HE and me. I’m assuming that Amy is writing this at the same time as I am – she’s just asked me about the hippos and the doorways. I have a feeling that that’s where all the madness started. I guess I should, if Amy hasn’t already, explain.

Back in the old HPFF chat days, there was nothing but fun. One could be flished – that’s a version of flushed – and the ‘dead’ were easily revived. One day in February 2006, hippos came dancing in doorways. I do believe that Amy was watching something about rhinoceri (rhinoceroses, but how un-Latin does that sound?), and Sharon – Elfie – said something about hippos. The doorways came when – I think it was Amy – someone asked about standing in doorways, pushing your arms against it, stepping out and your arms could rise up by themselves? It’s a slightly vague memory now. Anyway, we then had Blondie – that is, Cheery – come along and state that the cupcake she was eating was yummy.

And I have absolutely no idea where the tree legs came in. Oh, wait, yes I do. Due to Elfie’s mistypings – she had meant to type ‘three legs’ – why, I’m not too sure – but, as we can see, it came out as tree legs. How they come into this equation, I have no clue.

So, really, I guess HE started when the tree legged hippos were dancing in doorways and eating plastic cupcakes.

Actually, to be more precise – this is, by the way, an edit, the day after, because I’ve just read Amy’s and Marie’s ‘HE and Me’s, and I can not believe how much I’ve missed out – HE wouldn’t have started without TSWMNBN. That is to say, HPFF. My friendship with a few select amazing people began there, so it’s a somewhat reluctant thank you to them that I am able to share in what has been an incredible year. HPFF gave me the infinitely mad number of chats with Emma (or Algie, as she was known) which resulted in our singing of The Sound of Music, the numerous amounts of flishing and haunting, and some mad – and sorely missed – friends who I may never speak to again.

Now, I do realise that this entire HE and me has been half HE and half me, but that was the point, wasn’t it? That those who can are able to reflect back on the past year and their time with HE, and remember memories that will last for a lifetime. For example, one memory that really sticks out for me is the launch of our own newspaper, The Pensieve. It was something that had been thoroughly planned and expertly made (thanks go to our Deputy Head for being the technical whiz she is), and it was with excitement that we released the first edition on 19th March 2006.

This, of course, was one of many new and exciting things to come to HE. Along with the usual games, quizzes, classes and challenges came the Battle of the Bands. I must say, I could have participated maybe a little more than I did, but looking back on it, and re-reading some of the posts that were made, I see that it doesn’t matter now as much as it did then. After all, there was no doubt that Gryffindor had the best concert – a mixed parody of Disney songs, the Robbie Williams must-have, and even the more musically-inclined Guys and Dolls were just what HE needed to keep its morale up, especially during what was for most people the school exam period.

People literally throw themselves into events like these. I remember trying to get myself into Lord of the Dance – it was, in my quite humble opinion, one of the hardest things I’ve ever participated in. Dancing itself is one thing, but trying to describe how the body moves… well, it’s totally different. I think my mind went more into the writing than it did into the actual dancing; it was crucial, I thought, that what I wanted to portray was done in the best way possible, and I did, in my eyes, do that.

I’ve gone too far now – who knows how many of you have stopped reading? You can skip the next bit if you like, but here’s what some people mean to me:

Sharon – I remember the time I used to call you willow! Thank you for creating this site, for being an amazing and fantastic friend, for picking up your phone (almost) without fail, for making me laugh, for being the random and insane person that you are, and for looking out for me when I needed it. You always listen and for that I’ll be eternally grateful!

Amy – such a lovely duck you made. Remember when someone said something about eating ducks? XD Haha you’ve always been a fantastic friend, always good to laugh with, even if you do put sweeteners in your tea. I love that we share so many common interests, even if there are some things that we disagree about – go being a UK 90’s kid!! :D

Marie – my most vivid memory of you in HPFF was Mr K. and how you’d be Alge’s evil fairy/pixie and yell at Ethiekinz many a time XD Haha there are always good times with you, I feel like you really are my mum sometimes – you’re always there for me and I know that I can talk to you about anything and everything. Thank you for listening and being my help when I got stuck on my French!! XD

Ettie – Ettie the darling and insane creator of Mrs G, I lobe you!! You’re mad and obsessed with hot men, you bombard me with texts, you sent me DT; what more could I ask for?! Haha thank you for keeping me sane, for keeping me up to date with everything, for having that accent that I don’t understand (Geordies… pfft!), and lobe that you’re lobed by me!! :D

BIG SIS! – or Lily, as most of you know her. She’s my rock when I’m falling, and she’s far too stubborn for her own good. But I wove her anyway XD You’re the closest thing I have to a sister, Lils, and you’re always there for me, even if we do have our sisterly spats every now and then! Thank you for being so amazing!

Okay, I’ve stopped with the personal messages. I still love the rest of you – you’re all as great as each other, all as funny as each other (although I don’t think anyone can match up to Jesse’s glue/bleach incident), and it’s been fantastic knowing you. Even thinking of the likes of Emma, Ginny, Aliza, Elly, Jess, Jesse, Amby, Traci, all my lovely family – I can’t keep listing you, I’d never end – makes me smile. And special huggles to Stealthie and Roman – come back so I can throw popcorn at you!!

Overall, I guess HE has made me more competitive, more willing to give something to gain something out of it. As I said, it’s been a wonderful experience, one which I hope won’t end any time soon, because a) it’s way too much fun, b) it’s given me so many friends, c) I’ve got wicked amazing typing skills that can be improved on and d)… there is no d! Except maybe for the fact that it’s all down to Elfie (well, JK Rowling, but near enough! XD) that this site means so much to me.

HE and me....well, this has to be the main reason as to why I'm online often! I joined in late September, but I did not get very active until mid October! I got my twin brother, Harry to join too, but I'm usually online alot more! It was mostly HEBB challenge that got me into this site, really.

I didn't know anyone around the site. They all seemed to be a close knot group, but were without a doubt the most randomest and greatest people! Soon I was able to actually talk to a few of them in MSN and the wonderful chatbox! The people here are really great and I feel comfortable talking with them about things I would normally never talk to with my friends here. I would love to meet alot of you in person one day!

Then I was Ravenclaw Prefect! I was so estatic!

I was now permantly addicted to this site! I was on 24/7 gaining points, playing games, chatting in the CB or playing quidittch or doing my duels! I came on when I was bored, angry, upset, hystertcal, crazy! All my lovely Ravenclaws I came to love like family!

I may not have been here long enough than many of you have, but I do hold alot of memories from this site! Some that are extremley hilarious others that are a whole lte serious! H.E may be just a regualr Harry Potter site, but it's a whole lot more!

HE and Me

My goodness since I've arrived everything has been crazy. I was forced to join by my great friend Traci, who I had just ment in school not too long before. I was resentful and posted only 11 times before deciding not to come back again.

However in June right after school got out, I went to check my e-mail and saw something in there from the site. I didn't even remember what it was. So curiously I clicked on the link to see just exactly what I was getting an e-mail from.

I looked at the site in amazement wondering what in the world I had forgotten. I decided that I would look around and try to get a feel for the site and I did. I liked it alot but felt a bit like an outsider.

There was a chat room mentioned and I went into it trying to make some new friends. Unfortunately, that didn't go too well and instead I ended up getting into an argument with Jess... not one of my finer moments.

But I kept going in day after day and I got slowly addicted to the site. The thing I liked the most about the site was the games fourm. I posted there like crazy, because I didn't actually have to talk to people.

I also got my first games war there. Skully beat me terribly and she 5 times faster then I was. It was loads of fun though and the games wars continued.

I talked to alot more people and found myself slowly addicted to the site. Which at the time Traci didn't really like cause I was always on the site she forced me to join XD.

Anyway I also began to get addicted to posting and doing things other then games. I also became prefect from July to Septemember and then again from Spetemember to November.

Also everyone is talking about events so I guess I will too. Lets see the first one I really got into was the Q.W.T.. Ooh I loved and hated that event so much. I hated all the riddles and the pages and pages of posts I had to look through, but I did love the challenge of doing it.

Then in November I became Arithmancy professor. Though I didn't ever expect to become any professor to tell you the truth. Cause I tend to be a bit scattered, but whatever XD.

Hmm I guess I should talk about people on H.E. cause they are the most important part. But who to start with?

Lets start with Gin. Cause she's my Charmed Chica posting partner. My goodness I love your site its awesome and I am very addicted XD. You also are so great cause you were really the first friend I made here.

Jess, oh my goodness. What to say about you? You are so crazy and so dramatic. I still remember when you hated me, and I don't really know when that changed, but you are one of my good friends here.

Skully, I can't forget you my orginal games buddy . You are so hyper and such an awesome person for serious. Cause you never let people be sad and thats great, really it is.

Finally, Aliza. You are such a great person and can always tell when something is up with me and you always ask about it. Thanks so much for that, because I guess sometimes I just need someone to notice when things aren't fine.

Bleh okay thats enough, but I still love everyone else cause you all are great people I really just am too lazy to write anymore and don't want to kill all who read this XD. But just to mention a few theres Holly, Marie, Merranda, Swifty, Rai, and loads of other people XD.

Anyway I hope 2007 will be just as good as 2006 and I can't wait.

Oh my God! HE! I do not know what exactly it meadn to me I havn’t sorted that out in the middle of my mixed emotions.

I’ve joined in the end of July when the first term was almost over. I found HE by pure cheer of luck, I was bored and looking for games or rp sites and the link and joined.

When I saw the stuff going on, classes, quidditch, duels (cries), etc I was immediatly blown away. Besides being myself a very competive person the idea of challenges and winning points appealed vey much to me!.

I still remember going to the chat where, believe it or not, were the craziest talks ever, even crazier than the ones in CB or maybe is just me that is used to them by now XD . i remeber I didn’t wanted to be adopted right away (yeah I’m a very suspicous person) but eventually Lifey adopted me but when Etta her mother find out she unadopted me beacuse she said her daughters were not allowed to make her a grandmother and she made flissy adopt me. Anyway now i’m Etta’s father XD

I was so glad to be August Student of the Month just right after I joined and with less than a month i was one og the big slytherin points earned and now i’m the most biggest points earner over all XD I think that shows how much addicted I am.

To me the event that maked me the most was BB, there’s no way I can forget it and I have a terrible memory believe me!!! It was due to BB that I got close to people like Dancing, Little-O and specially Streamy!

Okay now I’ll talk a bit (or at least try to make it a bit) of the people who contribue to make He even more magical to me.

Elfie! Even though Marie influences me to call you Sharon you’ll always be Elfie to me XD. Thank you elfie for being so pateince and suportive with me even though i bomb you with questions and requests. Thank you for creating this wonderful site and manage it so well. I’m sorry for stealling your lazer title, well actually i’m not! Ooh and someday I’ll be knocking on your dooer and you’ll run! XD

Amy! Dear Amy where I’d be without you! I really become very found of you in the last months. Thank you for always helping me specially with graphics making! I know I can count on you!

My first wife Jess! You’re crazy girl but I like you the way you are! I shall have you re-join us soon!

I've finally decided to transfer my 3 notebook pages of 'HE and you' to computer, type it all out and post it here. Before I begin, I just want to warn everyone that I may not get the exact times right and may leave out people but I love everyone on this site regardless of anything

So without further adu-I present to you, my side and my view and my feelings towards HE and the members here.

(warning: The following is very very long and so grab yourselves enough drinks, food, go to the loo, etc etc...here we go)

Every great story has a beginning, sometimes it's a little hard to recall it but I can't credit just one person for bringing me to this most awesome site.

It all started about a year ago (something like that) and I wasn't really much of an 'internet nerd' I was the bad boy-skater-trouble making bully-type of guy. Kitty(Wytchkitty) was letting me babysit her kids and paying me for it. That was cool. I don't mind kids and I especially don't mind getting paid to watch them.
So, this went on for a bit, and needless to say she trusted me enough to where I could use her computer to play Star Craft and a couple vid games(she's known me for a long time but I won't get into it-complications and all)

Anyway, one day after school, I came over and she had a chatroom open so I was nosey and looked on it. She had HPFF Chat and there were bunches of people talking there. I asked her what HPFF stood for and she said it was Harry Potter fan fiction. I was already a fan of Harry Potter by this time, so she told me to read some of the fics on it and make an account to post my stories on. (She didn't know how graphically I wrote though)
So I was like okay cool, and made myself an account there and tried to post one of my HP-related stories called "Memoirs of a Death Eater'' and got rejected over...and over even with me taming it down some, the graphic violence was not suitable. A few days later, when I came over and Kitty was leaving for work, I told her about my stories getting rejected and LogicalRaven was in the HPFF chat at the time(a mod) so she told me to use my Hpff account name and go into the chat and talk to Logical about it. So I did. And come to find out since I didn't read the fine terms of submission, I was rejected cuz of the adult scenes and gore.
Anyway, while I was in that chat, I met and briefly chatted with a couple people- I remember one there was elfie, and amy, and a few others. They were obviously friends with Kitty so they were quite welcoming. I was a little shy so I popped in and out of that chat frequently.

Alright so sometime later in the months of I think Oct-November I had started going more but not talking to many others and then this one day- Kitty was in one of the RPG rooms and when I came over, I saw a lot of things out of the ordinary and asked what type of chat it was. She told me she was rping and then I kinda got interested after reading bits of it and she let me on with my name that I created 'Fated4HP'. I had never rp'd online before as far as harry potter rp. Now D&D is different cuz we use dice and what not...anyway back to the story. So, I enter the rpg, with my character who was an evil death eater-Fated Deathes. Also the one in my fic of Memoirs of a Death Eater. (A bit of background-Fated Deathes was originally a dark knight that protected the undead king in the rpg of Dungeons and Dragons- so yeah that's where he originally came from)
BACK to the story at hand- So my evil death eater character came in, and I had no idea how to rp in HP world so I did my actions and everything in 1st person form-example (I joined to rpg of Harry Potter and now I am walking across to see what the Gryffindors are doing."Hi" I said.) LAME! God was I so lame. But hey, I learned, right? So then Candy and Pansy and Ashes all helped me learn to rp in hp 3rd person. And a funny thing I should mention is Fated killed at least one person per rp game we played heh. He was an evil one! Anyway, so I started rping there for a few days, getting into the swing of things and one day when I came into the rpg room-I met romance lover aka jess. And she was playing as Draco Malfoy. And I wasn't too impressed with it at first cuz she made him too' cutesy romantic' and I was strictly a canon shipper and found him way out of character. Somehow we got to a point where we ended up in the same rp.
And her Draco and my Fated clashed- almost to the point where we would get into a fight out of character as well as in. We didn't like each other. Period. I hated her way of messing up Draco and she hated my evil, non-romantic nature. Well, one day, I stepped up and told her that I would make a better Draco and she told me that I was such a newbie and couldn't handle being him. I said, give me one chance, I will prove you wrong! So, finally she did. And according to the girls that were rping with us that night, mine was evil, underhanded, arrogant and intriguing. Then from that time on, people would ask me to be Draco when no one was willing to play him and I'd do it.
Over a few days though, I started to get into the Draco/Hermione ship-I blame that soley on KITTY! ~smirk~ She would NOT shut up about her long fic and swore she'd keep nagging me until I read it.
And so I agreed to read it and was blown away. I fell for it and so my next rpg blew the girls away cuz I softened Draco just a little- but still made him mean and sarcastic and added a new element to him. Heh, so I continued to rp there yada yada yada.......okay let's skip to how I heard about HE.

As I said, I credit more than one person for my being here. Kitty told me about a site she joined with some of her friends and I was like ok cool but I like HPFF rpg rooms- and so yeah I blew that off. When I would go into regular chat at HPFF there was always amy, logicalraven, and i remember marie a few times. Anyway, I do remember talking to elfie and amy at HPFF at odd times and elfie said to check her profile to see her site. I said okay, but kinda blew it off-again. Well a few days(i think they were days) went by and jess and i became a 'couple' (How that happened was jess and ashes made a bet on who could get me first so jess basically threw herself at me, i decided what the heck and so started calling her my gf. So at this point-I'll refer to her as that)

Now, moving right along, Jess started to nag me to join elfie's site-HE. I kept telling her no no that's okay, I'm fine here at HPFF. And then stuff started happening at HPFF where they were taking the rpg rooms away! So FINALLY I agreed to join HE. Jess literally made me an account and so I hesitantly went on it. And thus began the appearance of yours truly heh. However, I was quite shy.
YES you heard me, SHY. I was so shy and intimidated that I didn't really do much at HE at all. Somehow one day, Jess dragged me(nagged is more like it) to come into the HE Chatroom that was around at the time and I finally did. I said hi and was sort of shy and kept a low profile. And then when the mods would come in-I'd leave cuz I was intimidated by them. THEN came the day I got kicked out of my house irl-(very messy, hard to talk about the reason-)

And poof....there I was, kicked out, no place to go and had no choice but to hope that Kitty would at least let me spend one night at her house. It was pouring down rain and my clothes got freakin soaked! I had my back pack of a few clothes, my school junk and that was basically it. Anyway, she took me- for a lot longer than a night- and after a bit I found that coming on the site was helpful. I think around that time, I'd started opening up my life to Lily, Elfie, and a couple others online. And Elfie intimidated me cuz she was the site owner but soon I found out just what a sweet person she is! SHe talked to me like a normal, caring person- totally opposite of what I had expected cuz most site owners aren't that nice and they don't always mingle with their members. Well she and I talked through PM's and she told me that I could talk to her and she enjoyed having me here- I mean she made me feel so welcomed here, you guys can't even imagine how that felt to a guy who's told by a lot of people what a worthless person he is. And that made me feel good and she motivated me to where I wanted to get involved with the site. And one thing that drew me here was Quidditch. I loved it, wanted to play it so bad. So, somehow I ended up meeting and talking to Mick in the Slytherin House. And he was so awesome- treated me well, inspired me to do my best and I did just that. I didn't do a lot of hw at first to earn points, but I did get involved as far as chatting and little challenges here and there. What really really gave me that strong drive for Slytherin was the way that I saw things were going in starting out with Quidditch. My favorite house and team was without a good seeker-and so I wanted to be that. At that time not many Slytherins were active members. There was always a few times where in the games it would only be Mick and myself posting as much. Kitty was our keeper oon and off but I can't recall a lot of stable players at the time. And when I started to make my seeker posts-and I am telling you guys, I made lonnnnng ones-read 1st term if you don't believe me haha) And that really paid off cuz towards the end of 1st term, Mick approached me with the offer of Sltyherin's Team Captain- which I gladly accepted and it blew me away! (Thank you, Mick. I'll always appreciate that) ANd I took being a captain seriously as far as getting the team organized, making plays, coming up with strategies etc etc- and it helped Slytherin members get involved. I worked hard and did many things around the site-to me I thought were trivial but to others they meant something cuz somehow I got nominated and voted for as "Student of the Month'' That was indeed a great honor. And I was so proud of that. It seemed like I was making a name for myself here and that people really were noticing me. I was both excited and nervous (Oh yeah and during all this time jess and I were on again and off again and lalala so on)

But the important thing is that I had made a few close friends and the more I did on the site, the more I got noticed. It was a great feeling to sign onto HE and see a private mesage from elfie that read "You are doing a wonderful job at HE and I thank you for your suggestions and thoughts." When you get a letter like that from the site owner herself, you just want to melt!

And speaking of site owner, I will never forget Elfie (Sharon) and Mick's wedding- REAL LIFE Wedding. I saw the pics and she was a beautiful bride. Mick's a very cool guy too.(speaking of which-hope he's doing better from the flu) Anyway back on track...

HE soon became my home and I tried to get my friends to join it- which many did- some turned out to be not so HE material shall we say? and some were okay just didn't stick around.

Anyway, so I became Slytherin's Quidditch capt, then student of the month, and at the end of first term, I helped Slytherin win the Quidditch Cup! It felt so great!
As time went on, we had some awesome events, Battle of the bands, we had some of the most awesome songs and I kinda took it upon myself to really push everyone on the Promotions which we won in- thanks to my HISSNey World ~grins~ Good memories, good times! We put on the best rock concert and then attended the other houses' concerts of course. Man, that is one of my most fondest memories as far as events go. Then there was the event Lord of the Dance! I still laugh as I remember mine and mick's crazy partner dances! I remember I was dancing with three people on that heh. And can never forget the QWT, BB, and Oh the Hogwarts Play- I was Draco in that and I talked Raisty into being Lord Voldemort! Mwahaha that was a trip!

(HE AND ME CONTINUED)


I know everyone will remember the glue/bleach incident and let me just say one thing- THAT HURT LIKE HELL- heh so yeah I'm remembered for that, which doesn't bother me, I can laugh at myself-I do. Hearing elfie spit her tea out after hearing about that though made me laugh-that moment was priceless.

Getting back to the subject at hand,(Sorry i am skipping around so much) There was a lot that happened- and i know I am missing out chunks here and there. But what I can remember makes me appreciate everything and everyone here.

Oh yeah, I noticed a bit mentioned about Faith. Well, I too must mention her, as she was truly sweet and kind. I was the last person to rp with her- it was a Ron vs Draco battle type of rp and Draco ended up killing Ron. I remember her teasing me, saying "You just wait till I come back from the hospital, Jesse. Ron will get Draco!" I'll never forget her and how all her smilies brightened up the boards. If I remember correctly, her birthday's in March. She was a great Gryffindor and I'll always hold her memory in my heart.

There's been some good times but I remember there's been rough times at HE as well. Many times earlier on we had sever troubles and that made us lose a lot of our posts but thankfully the server HE is on now seems much more stable- Elfie and Amy did a lot to find a stable server. We also had numerous chatroom fights- which I can attest to as I was either in the middle or one of the ones fighting. Usually, they were between myself and jess. In the end our 'relationship' fizzled and even with trying, couldn't be saved.

But even during these hard times, even with the trouble, I still love HE. We're like a big family. And speaking of that...

The family tree and HE Weddings- Well there have been so much going on with these two topics that I can't even remember half of who is married to who and who is who's kids? I know I was married to Jess several times, Gin a few times, swifters 1 time, and now married to Nancy-happily I remember that I have performed quite a few of these weddings heh and attended several as well.
I used to be kitty's son, then un-adopted myself from her and adopted Elfie and Mick as my mummy and daddums. They're the best! ~hugs them~ And I am their little RDE Slytherin Prince so it all works out Hahaha!

And so getting back to all the things I've done and achieved-I have won many awards-including once I got the Serpent award, Draco award, and many others. Head Boy- let's talk about that now. I was shocked to find out that I had become Head Boy. I really hadn't expected to be nominated and voted for as that cuz I did do work- but I didn't think I did enough of it to count. And Elly was Head Girl- we both partied in the Head dorm- with our guitars haha, good times!
And now let me skip to later this term and when I found out I was made the 2nd Head of Slytherin. That too was an honor. I guess just being here and doing my best, it's all an honor to me. I don't usually try use my actual 'mod' power unless I have to. I mean yes I will brag about it, and tease like I'm some big, bad mod- but it's just in fun. However when I am told to step in, make decisions, give input, or enforce rules then yeah I go into mod-mode.

I can claim one thing though since I have been here at the HE. I've learned many valuable lessons that can be used in real life, matured to a small point but have a long way to go, and I'm not so bitter about life anymore. To me, HE isn't just a site, it's a place where I can go and find friends, and have fun and just be myself-well the tamer version of myself.

I can remember a time where I couldn't really show my emotional side. I was a cold, bitter, hate-the-world- type of person. HE was a big factor in helping me get away from that. Cuz people here started to open up to me, ask me for advice and even wanted to talk to me on a personal level- basically they were letting down their guards and letting me see the real them. So, I slowly did that too. That's when I started making a lot of friends.

And so now comes that long list of people I wish to thank and send a special message to. If you're not on the list, I apologize cuz my mind can't remember everything and everyone, but you're still important to me- all of you.

Elfie- You're not just a normal site owner, you're really a kind-hearted person. I owe a lot to you cuz without your site, I probably wouldn't have been able to really open up and be myself. HE is an awesome site and though there are times I've tried to leave, I just can't-not for long. I have a tie of loyalty here and that's one I refuse to break. Thank you for everything you've done for me and being an inspiring, motivating person. ~huggles~ love ya mummy!

Mick- You're a really cool guy. And I appreciate all you do for Slytherin, you're a true leader as well as a good friend to me. You're someone I look up to and am thankful I met cuz you noticed all I did when I first came here and I appreciate your praises and encouragement. ~huggles~ Thank you daddums!

Amy- will you marry me or can i adopt you? (inside joke heh) Just kidding,amy. You're a very helpful person and a great graphics artist- I think you're a great deputy headmistress as well and want to say thanks for all you have done for me. ~huggles~

Swifters- No I can't forget my little house elf ~smirks~ Heh, just kidding about that but it's one of my fond memories of how you and I started talking and playing around. In all seriousness though, I appreciate your advice and even those whacks that you give me to keep me in line haha! You're awesome and I am glad that you're still around to whack me. It actually makes me laugh out loud when I read it on the screen. ~huggles~

Marie- I've never forgiven you for scaring me with that blond woman who must not be named's picture. Those pm's gave me nightmares and I almost had to sleep with the nightlight on. But anyway....You're cool and I like talking to you. Thanks for reading my story and telling me what you thought. I appreciate your advice as well. ~huggles~

Lily- Lilykins I think out of everyone, YOU are the one who has helped me the most- in everything! From life, to good to bad to happy to sad times, to lectures to praises to just chit chat and through my relationships and problems- yeah you are definitely the one that has helped me the most. I am so thankful to you, even if you are one of my biggest rivals since we're both so competitive- it's great to be able to talk to you. Thanks for all you have done, and all of your encouragement. You are right about things most of the time when it comes to me, and though I hate to have my ego blasted, sometimes that's a good thing. ~huggles~ You're like my real aunt and i love ya!

Nancy- so much I can say, so much I feel but words are hard to find to describe it all. I am really glad we are as close as we are. You understand me and you're really a great person. I love how we can cooperate together and play off of each others ideas. And how we play quidditch so harmoniously and just the way we work together. And even on stuff that isn't related to the site, you still help me and make me feel so great. Love you and thank you for everything you do for me.

Kitty- Well I've pretty much covered what she means to me. She's my mom and words can't say how much I appreciate her! She's the nicest lady I have ever met. ~huggles her to death~ Thanks MOM! Without you, I'd of never discovered how much fun the internet could be and I LOVE YOU!

Jess- Thanks for nagging me to go here and making my account and all. I know things didn't go as expected with us, but I hold no hard feelings towards you. Life's weird that way but I couldn't just ignore you since you are the one who brought me here in the end. Whatever you do, where ever you go, I wish you good luck and well being. Thanks.

Caru- You're probably one of the fewest people who can just crush my ego. Hahaha but that just give me an incentive to boost it back up. You've been there for me when I've needed to talk to someone though, and so I had to mention you, cuz well "I'm just cool like that" heh. Some of the talks we have had still stick in my mind and are unforgettable, but they helped me and so yeah...~huggles~

Elly and Aliza- you two are great to talk to and have been funny to watch talking to each other. Having you girls as daughters, well let's just say all my DE Credit cards are maxxed out! Haha! You girls make me laugh and I'll still try to read Twilight-since I said I'd give it a chance. ~huggles~

Elana- Also another of my favorite daughters and a sweet girl all together. Remember when I made you that Romione siggy? I was cringing the whole time hahaha. But you're fun to rp with and thanks for being there for me as well. ~huggles~
Jessie(outwithabang) Though I am still getting to know you, I can't exactly just not mention you cuz you've done great in slytherin and especially in quidditch. Glad we're getting to be close friends though and thanks for everything.

Jenn- Can't forget that you are my Friend's Friend and partner prankster. I'll never forget how we trashed the other two houses and spray painted all around hahaha! It was funny. I'm glad we've gotten to be closer friends and actually know each other better now. Do I have to start all the way from the begining? alright well here:

I had a few friends who started coming on HPFF rpg less and less and saying they went to this new site called HE and it was the bomb... these friends were named Candy and Pansy. There were my two bestest friends. Well I joined.... then I helped someone else join.. but I really didnt use it all that much until the somoene else started using his like all the time and then I felt like I kinda had to so I was like stuck with HE unwillingly at first.. I know thats horrible right? Anyways well I dunno.. HE means alot to me weather I come on alot now or not. It always will. I met so many people here and I grew to be so happy here sometimes and so depressed at other times. I guess... just starting to right this makes me see that I could never hate HE like I have said before. HE was always this nice cushiony blanket I could curl up in when the world got to be to big and to cold. you know?

Sharon – I love you Sharon!!! This awesome site wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for your pure genius, XD. You rock Sharon and you’re always there to talk, no matter how busy you are. Thanx for everything. Love you muchly!!

Amy – Amy, I still haven’t thought up a decent nickname for you it will come though! Give me time!! Anyway…if it wasn’t for H.E. I never would have spoken to you properly…which would suck. Ok, well I wasn't sure if I was going to even attempt to do this one since I haven't been apart of HE very long. But after some very persuasive bullying, I decided to. I don't even remember how I stubled upon HE, but that's exactly how it happened! I was searching for something (I can't even remember now!) and this site popped up. I was laughing to myself thinking, these people actually do homework and write fan-fic?? Seriously? And then it happened. I started reading post after post, and I got sucked in. I decided right then and there that I would be the all time highest point earner, I would play quidditch(if I ever figured out how), I would help my house win the House Cup, I would be head girl, a prefect, all of the above and more, I wanted to achieve it. I guess when it comes down to it, I just wanted to be a part of this group. At first I wasn't sure if I would be accepted. Everyone on here seemed to be soooo close and the closest of friends. That made me both excited and nervous. Excited that maybe I could one day be that involved, and nervous that everyone would be standoffish towards the new girl. But alas I jump in head first and was in for a big surprise! Everyone is sooooo stinkin nice! I was accepted and including in everything!! I got adopted by the wonderful Becca (the5potters), now I have a family!!!! I was probably most excited about that! I've been doing all the assignments I can get my hands on, I just joined the quidditch team for next term, Our house is so gonna win the house cup, and I am sooooo excited. I can officially say that I am obsessed with this site...but in a good way! The first thing I wanna do in the mornings, is get to work so I can check to see if any more homework has been graded, who's in the chatbox...etc. At first I thought I was being a loser, since I'm 23 and playing on a Harry Potter site, but now, I don't care!!! I love it here, and I'm here to stay! In the next year I would love to see Slytherin sweep both the House cup and the Quidditch Cup!! I know we can do it. I would also like to become a Professor. I just want to thank Elfie and everyone else who makes this site possible! You guys rock!!!

wow he and me where to begin. Honestly there are to many things to say I love he and nothing is better, In this past year wich i cant beleive it has been a year already. Wow i mean seriously ijoined a few days after it began. I really dont know where to begin so i guess i shall talk about the people that make this site so important to me,
Amber (amberg93, amby, ambie)- okay yes i go to school with this amasin girl but if it wasnt for her i would have never went to hpff which is where i met elfie where i got to know the headmisstress. It is because of her that my small obsesion with harry potter bloomed to a huge one. Yes it is a good thing and to me HE wouldnt be the same without her. THANKS AMBY FOR PUTTING UP WITH ME AND EVERY THING THAT COME WITH ME. Even though she doesnt let me forget my own embarissing moments. (like annoyance,anger stupidity....ya'll get the point.)

Jess- dramtic jess man she is never boring i tell you that. She is what i would say the biggest frama queen on he and i love her for it. She is who she is and not afraid to let people know if she likes them or not. Yes she can be scary or mean or disbehaved but she is a great person. Never will i have a dull mourning with the possibilty she may text me. Which by the way me sooo not a mourning person. We talk alot and you need to get to know her before you truelly understand how much fun she really is. Even though she kept asking me to marry her and i was the last to know she married someone else but hey I'm always there for ya jess. THANKS FOR THE INTERESTING PHONE CALLS AND TEXTS.

Elfie- is the bomb. I can end it there elfie is the ruler of it all she created this one big wacky faimly. You know with a great person running a site it is bound to be a great site. She is calm and most of the time put together if she aint she barly ever shows it. I have not seen her yell at anyone but mick. But thats what married people do right. she is great and she can help you in more ways then just around the site. I believe she is a never ending love bomb. she is sweet and kind and BRILLIANT may i add. so may parents may not like her much for inventing the site i wast my life away on but i love her cuz she invented my friends (or a way to talk to them XD ) THANKS FOR LISTENING.

Amy- wow she is an intersesting person she is more to herself i think then anyone. If there is alot of people in chat she is quite but you know when she talks it is smart and witty we all love her. She helps me with my homework sometimes XD because she is that cool. I seriously believe that she is like a guardian angel quite and seretive but always there when needed. But you know what with all that being said i wonder what she will say to this. She is the reason i can not eat duck or hunt it cuz i usually exclaim "NOT AMY" then she is the reason i get weird looks from the people around me but i dont care for you amy a duck will touch these lips. LOVE YA.

Switums- she is my mummy and the best one ever. Funny kind and alot more things. I am always glad to see her cuz she always makes me smile. I rember the day i was adopted by her and my awsome daddy (waterlily) they were arguing over it then later on i heard they got in a fight over me I love both my parents to death and they both make me smile and laugh but i see my mum more and she is the bestest he mum ever and my daddy is the bestes he daddy.

jesse- okay i have to mention him. This may make his ego grow so watch out ya'll. He is a funny guy and when i first met him i hated him. I did i really did but now is he what i consider one of my friends he is weird. I mean he glued himself to a chair. Then poured bleach down his pants. Although is ego is bigger then my computer he is a nice guy so yes jesse you all right in my book.

becca- my dear young friend. I love her she is an awsome person and you know what she is an awsom rper. Usually i msn her to rp and alot of times we do but other times i like to just talk to her. She is the exact opposite from me yet we get along so yesh she is awsome. TO ALL THOSE LATE NIGHT RPs OR CHATS

okay so i am going to stop it here so for those of you it didnt get a big description i love you just as much as the rest just i am getting bored typing and i want to go watch t.v. I love you all i love this site andnothing would be the same without it. SO I HOPE YOU ALL LOVE ME STILL and i hope i didnt hurt anybody. But i am done typing for now and yes i took beccas idea with the explaining people. it was brilliant but for the sake of whoever reads this i'm done. Love ya HE and happy birthday. As probably the oldest active member of HE, and a newbie to boot, I just have to say that I am having so much fun! I work with Ame (Agatha Black) and she and I and all our friends are huge Harry Potter fans, so when she told me that she had found a way to attend Hogwarts online I was super excited. I cannot believe that there are not millions of people on this board! I haven't been in school in long time now, but the classes are so stimulating, and I love that we win house points for them. It really pushes me to do a great job. I've recently toyed with the idea of taking some medical classes at a local school, but I was scared that I might not be ready to go back. In a strange way though, this board has given me the confindence that I needed to realize that I can do it. Plus its a huge bonus that Agatha and I are in seperate houses since we always make everything a competition (who's getting voted off RockStar, who will win the Bachelor, who can get the other to sing a certain song first-we're awful!). I actually feel that I've learned a lot from the classes I've taken, as most require research, and some of the final exams are brutal! *g* I can hardly wait until next semester so that I can start earning even more points, and I might actually dabble in some fanfiction, either way I will embrace the title of oldest living Ravenclaw.
