Valentine's Dance

::Lynn walked in looking around. She had just gotten back from America and missed it quite a bit. She sighed wishing she had just stayed there.::

Lily walked in with her wavy black hair hanging down. She had charmed her usualy blue streaks in her hair red. Her dress was also red and came just about her knees. It was spagettie straped and sparkly. Her red heals sparkled as well.

Her unwelcoming icy look did not change as she walked up to Lynn. "Hello," she said cooly.

Lynn sighed. "Hello Lily."

Lily looked at Lynn. "You seem a bit tired or like your missing something..." Lily said not really caring.

~Though his gaze was fixed on the beauty before him, he couldn't shake the feeling that there were others around who made him uneasy and wary. He tried not to let his expression show his suspicions as he did not want to worry Sky if he was merely just suffering from paranoia.~

~However, it wasn't long before his blue eyes kept drifting and gleamed slightly. He looked to Sky again, and then back over her shoulder as they danced.~

"Sky, I have a bad feeling...I think we'd better be on guard." He whispered into her ear, keeping his voice low so that the couples dancing near them would merely assume that he was whispering sweet nothings in her ear.~

Lynn could tell Lily didn't care. "Your concern touches me. Really it does, and if you most know, I miss America things are different there."

Lily snickered and then remembered America. "I lived there for thirteen years of my life," Lily said to Lynn as she examined the drinks.

"I'm so happy for you," Lynn said sarcastically.

Lily rolled her eyes. "No need to get snippy. I was just pointing it out. Things are different there." Lily said nodding keeping her cool

"Exactly," Lynn replied. "Thats why I didn't want to come back."

Lily sighed. "It's better over there. No crappy wizarding wars. No sides to choose. It's peaceful"

"Sure is," Lynn nodded in argeement. "If it weren't for this war I could have staied, even looked into transfering schools for my last year."

"Sometimes I wish I was back there. I would go back, but like you said. If it wasn;t for this war. It's so bogus." Lily said still keeping her cool, icy look and tone

Sky continued dancing with Fated, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck. It felt so good having him so close to her. He was a very powerful wizard and she felt so safe with him.

As they danced Sky noticed that Fated's eyes were wandering a bit around the hall. She scanned the hall with her eyes as well. A lot of people had just shown up. Not too many she recognized but she did see a girl that she had met on the Hogwarts express back when they were first arriving at Hogwarts. She couldn't remember the girls name but she remembered the girl tripping and falling into her train compartment.

"Sky, I have a bad feeling...I think we'd better be on guard." She heard Fated whisper to her, his voice low and sounded a bit concerned. "I am always on guard. I have the same feeling. Do you think there are Order members here?" She asked in a whisper. "I am always up for a bit of excitement, been too long really. If trouble does start they will be unpleasantly surprised to see our many evil talents." She laughed quietly in a sinister way and pulled herself up to look into his eyes, giving him a playful smile.

Lynn nodded. "Life is just like that. Sometimes you get caught up in things that aren't for the best."

Lily sighed again knowing exactly what she meant. "Yeah....sometimes you get involved, and get in way too deep," she said trying to keep the icy cool tone. She fiddled with her hair and grabbed a fire whiskey

Lynn nodded once more. "I might get out of it, but probably not alive."

~Sky's words were somewhat calming and soothed him enough to relax his tense shoulders. She had that special quality, perhaps that was why he'd found her so interesting. ~ "I'm thinking there are Order members here, though I can't exactly tell who to be wary of." He replied as they continued to dance. ~

"But yes, I think we could use some excitement as well." His tone darkened and his warm smile shifted to a smirk and an evil gleam twinkled in his eyes. "Especially, if those members are foolish enough to reveal themselves here." He added coldly.~

Lily sighed and nodded, "For some reason- i feel the same way about myself," she said and gave lynn a sad smile.

"We'd be branded traitors for even trying," Lynn commented. "But its worth it."

"Yeah..." Lily said and let her mind wander

"Although we are spies anyway," Lynn stated more to herself then to Lily.

Lily nodded. "Yeah. We are." she said regained her icy cool tone. She took a swig of the fire whiskey.

Rubbing her head for a moment, Jenn rolled her eyes as she entered the Valentines Day dance. Claire had arrived too late for them to get any information from the students the week before. Thankfully this Valentine Dance was another perfect opportunity to mingle with people and find information. As she adjusted the top of her dress, she glanced around the ballroom. Squinting slightly in the magically darken room to search for Claire, Jenn edged her way around couples already in their own little world. Her pale pink tube dress that she bought last month fit her perfectly as black lace edged the top of her dress’s bosom and waist. Having pulled her hair half up in a cluster of curls, her dangling diamond earrings sparkled in the floating candles. She wore the same teardrop diamond necklace as the last dance.

As she ducked around a…er…particularly involved couple that looked very busy, Jenn spotted Claire sitting by a table. “Rose! Thank goodness I found you.” Sitting down next to her friend, she winked. “Finally early this time eh?” Waving an arm for a house elf’s attention, she ordered a glass of butterbeer. Jenn crossed her arms and leaned forward on the table, this time intent on getting down to business right away.

“So have you discovered any perspectives you could approach?” She asked as she looked around the room. “I’ve spoken to the Herbology teacher on the train before, Sky Black. Sara thinks that she is probably involved in You Know Who’s deepest circle. And I’ve said hello to her, yet it hasn’t gotten any farther then that yet.” Jenn pointed in the direction of Lily and a girl she didn’t recognize.

Sky listened to Fated as he spoke of his suspicions of there being Order members there at the dance. All too typical of them. They probably got word that Death Eaters would be there. There was a leak somewhere amoung the Dark Lord's spies and they still needed to find out who they were. And, when they found out who it was, all hell would break loose. Going against the Dark Lord would prove to be a very deadly mistake and Sky hoped that she would be one of the ones to end their unforgivable trechery. To her, that would be a great reward for her undying service to her Lord.

Sky's playful smile widened as she heard Fated's words. "Yes, a foolish thing it would be to reveal to us who they are." She spoke to him in her sinister voice. She leaned in close to him, her arms tightening around him and she whispered in his ear, "I do so love your way of thinking. I want excitement." She smiled as she thought of all the things that the two of them together could do to make this night a night to remember. Being with him was exciting enough, but working with him was always an exciting adventure.

Lily sighed "See ya," she said to lynn.

Lily grabbed another fire whiskey and headed for the girl she had said hello to.

"Hello," she said cooly

Jenn was startled as she heard Claire’s words. Although she wasn’t there that day, she had heard all about that attack on the Order’s headquarter from countless people. Unfortunately she was stuck at the Ministry to Magic running errands for her demanding boss earlier that day. When she finally came back to her office and heard of the attack, the Death eaters were long gone. As she opened her mouth to interrogate Claire, Lily wearing a stunning short red dress, approached their table with a cold look on her face.

"Hello," she said coolly

Quickly exchanging a look with Claire that clearly said Shush,Jenn turned to the girl with an amused half smile on her face. “Why hello again.” She said as she leaned back in her chair. Just then the house elf appeared with her drink and bowed to her. “About time you got here.” Jenn said with a smirk as she took the drink from his tray with a roll of her eyes. “Servants.”

Taking a deep sip to calm herself, she looked at Lily warily again. “I don’t believe we introduced ourselves before. You are…” The unfinished sentence hung in the air as a slight invitation to sit down.

Lily looked at th girl. She could tell the girl was faking the icy attitude. Lily sat down.

"Lily Londan. I didn't atch your name last time i saw you. Who are you?" Lily said with no emotion in her voice.

She took a swig of the fire whiskey

Lily scoweld. Geese. She took another swig of the fire whiskey and looked around. Nobody else to talk to. She looked at herself. She stood up, straightened her dress, fixed her hair, and noticing her drink was empty, went to get another one.

She walked over flipping her hair and grabbed another one. She was very bored now.

TRaci walked in with a flowwing red dress circled her. She thought she looked nice but it didnt matter. She looked around and sighed she hated valentines day.

Lily saw Traci and headed over to her.

"Hey," she said coldly

Jenn collapsed on a nearby chair and let out a deep sigh. “I just slightly met her at the last winter ball.” She stated with a wave of her hand. “Right before it ended I believe. But what should we do now?” Jenn asked as she slightly bit on her lip trying to work out the problem that arose. Her brown eyes flickered around the empty classroom for a moment before resting on a large Hogwarts banner at the center of the room. How different life seemed now from the first times she laid her eyes on the Hogwarts crest in her very first year. Sure, there were always house rivalries before. But now wasn’t about a simple House or Quidditch Cup honor but much more serious. Now as times have gotten more dangerous, the age requirements to join the Death Eaters and Order have been lowered. She had no idea who was on which side and a single mistake could blow her cover and be fatal.

Shaking her head slightly to free herself of such concerns, Jenn gently patted Claire’s arm reassuringly. “We’ll just have to make sure you don’t get too close to the people that would recognize you now won’t we? Just be sure to keep up your disguise and I think we should be fine.” She made a slight tsk noise with her tongue and smiled. “We didn’t come this far just give up in the sight of danger did we? Luckily I’m sure none of them will recognize me for…well me. I’m afraid I was quite the antisocial wallflower at school.” She joked half heartedly with an exxagerated shudder. “Not to mention I looked horribleback then. So we’ve decided that those two most definitely are Death Eaters right?”

Trci looked to lily she was cold to her it was weird so she did the only thing she knew how she erased herself of all emotion and looked to her making eyecantact. Traci made sure her eyes were empty. "you know if you are to say hey to someone you can atleast act like your happy to see them."

Smiling at Claire, she adjusted the rose in her hair for a moment. “Thanks, I suppose we really should go back now. After all it’s almost those 5th year boys’ bedtime isn’t it?” Jenn teased with a playful wink to lighten the tension in the room. Bending over, she adjusted her black heels for a moment before standing up.

“A dreamy smile, flowing dark hair, chocolate brown eyes....?” She asked in disbelief as she laughed. “If you think that’s the same as nervous smile, limp hair, and brown eyes behind thick glasses, then yes I was a beauty wasn’t I?”

As they walked back to the Great Hall, Jenn glanced around at the other students roaming the hall. Although looks could be deceiving, she didn’t think that any of these students would be involved in the activities that she was looking for. Seems as though the only clear Death Eaters were waiting right inside the ballroom, unfortunately. She was not looking forward to approaching them, especially since she never did master that ‘devil may care what the hell you think’ look they all seem to naturally have.

Before Claire pushed the door to the Great Hall open, Jenn reached out and grasped her arm for a moment to halt her. “Just be careful okay Claire? If you spot anything suspicious just call me over.”

"Who says that i am happy to see you?" lily said coldy to traci raising an eyebrow. "I am not particulary pleased to see anyone- that includes you." she returned to her emotionless face.

Traci looked away lazidly "then why talk to me. You know lily your scheming and backstabbing and i knew something was wrong from the day i meet you but despite my better judge ment i was nice to you and look where it got." she said in a lazy tne but so cold it could cut through solid brick.

lily shrugged it off. "You would not be the first friend I've hurt. Get used to it, get over it.." she said rudely

She thought for a minute. "I came over to talk to you because i was bored. and-" Lily reached for another fire whiskey, " I needed a fourth drink." she opened it and took a swig.

Traci rolled her eyes "you know you hurt so many people youll end up getting hurt It's called karma and i hope you get it hard." she turned to her "by the way i am on revenge to get back to all those who hurt me." she looked away "your now on that list."

"Lists are for forgetful people" Lily said emotionless rolling her eyes at traci. Traci's so called "coolness" was sooo fake to Lily.

Traci shighed "only if you right them down." she shuddered "your right after the people who killed my faimly feel nown thats high up." she left her voice and eyes emotionless but inside she was fighting the erge to choke her right there

Lily sensed Traci wanting to break her cool, so she kept pushing. "I'm sure the people who killed you r family had their reasons," she said taking a swig of her fire whiskey

"yeah they had no brains and followe dthe requests of the man who held the most power, I think people who cower behind higher power are cowards and pathetic." Traci remained eotioneless as the urge continued to grow

"Are u supposidly calling me a coward?" Lily hissed. she was not happy with Traci but she was enjoying pushing the other girl.

"I would love the honor of meeting the people that killled you family." she said cruelly.

TRaci smirked "you know some of them you wont get to met." she smirked "on the other hand you probably know most of them they are in the circle of cowards what are they called oh yeah deatheaters."
