Jonathon Stroud

Wow, I love his books! I read the first book in the Bartimaeus Trilogy, The Amulet of Samarkand, about two years ago, and then found the second and third books, The Golem's Eye and Ptolemy's Gate early this summer.

They all are so good and interesting and the plots are really unique! I love Bartimaeus, and I find that his chapters are often the most fun to read. He includes little footnotes on the bottom of the page to explain different things and his sense of humor is great! I felt kinda bad for Nathaniel all throughout the second and third books... and then the end of Ptolemy's Gate was fantastic!

So have any of you read these books?

Ohh yeah, I love his books! He wrote some other stuff as well...I just found something called...the leap, I think. Anyway I love the way he writes, and Bartimaeus is my favorite character too XD.

OMG I love Jonathan Stroud. I think Bartimaeus is everyone's fav character and he's definitely one of mine. My two favorites are Kitty and Bartimaeus. It's been forever since I read AMulet of Samarkand but I just recently finished Ptolemy's Gate. It took forever for me to get it from my library 'cause it was always out and when I finally got it, I liked it so much that I went to a bookstore and bought it! BUt I thought the ending was so sad... adn when Kitty says "So much for your promises"...
