Department of Mysteries

Chris apparated into the Department of Mysteries to look for Death Eaters who were looking for anything. He hadn't been down here in a while. It was very spooky.

Lily snuck to the mysteries department. She snuck in. She wanted to study the veil. She tried not to let herself make noise that would echo as she walked through the hallways

Ryan sneaked his way into the ministry and into the Department of Mysteries to look around at the prophecies and the veil. He knew their were probably other Death Eaters in here looking around.

Lily smilied cruelly as she stopped to exam some phrophicies. She jumped when she heard someone else

"Show yourself!" she hissed as she pulled ou her wand

Ryan walked out of the shadows.

"Hey lily how are you?"

"Don't scare me like that, Ryan. Thought you were someone from the order," Lily said as she turned back to studying the prophecies.

"I'm ok. Never better and never worse. With knowledge comes grea responsibility, i have learned. and responsibility takes a lot out of you." she paused looking at one prophecey and then she keep walking slowly examining them.


"what brings you here?" she asked not taking her starnge eyes off the prophecies

Rhia was extremely excited. She hadn't believed thatTrelawney would actually fall for it! The previous day, Rhia had convinced Trelawney to let her do her end of the year project on prophecies. Along with that permission came a permision of a different kind: permission to go to the Department of Mysteries! An unspeakable brought her down to the Hall of Prophecy, and Rhia turned around, thanked him, and then went in. When she was walking along the shelves of prophecies, Rhia saw a shadow about 3 shelves in front of her. "Strange..." Rhia whispered.

"I'm fine Lily I was just looking at these prophecies." Ryan said.

He turned to look at one. "They are very interesting."

Rhia heard someone talking, a man. She walked as silently as she could towards the voice. When she was in the row behind him, Rhia peeked through a gap in the prophecies to see... Ryan Osment? Why in the name of Merlin was Ryan here? And with Lily? she wondered.

Chris walked into the room of prophecies. He heard people talking a man and a woman. The man sounded like Ryan, but who was the woman. He walked up behind the them on the other hall. Then he saw Rhia. "Rhia." Chris whispered. "What are they saying?"

Rhia sent a nonverbal patronus spell at Chris to silently tell himwhat she had seen adn heard before he arrived. Her patronus, a tigress, told Chris mentally, "Apparently, Ryan and Lily know each other pretty well. They're just talking about the prophecies.

He sent a patronus back. The lion told her that he had always known that Ryan would come here sometime and that is why he came here.

Rhia replied, "Oh. What should we do? Should we surprise them, call for aurors, or sneak away and come back for reinforcements?" And I still have to get my Divination project started, Rhia thought.

"Aurors we need aurors." Chris whispered.

"I have an idea," Rhia whispered. "Perhaps we could disillusion ourselves, tread softly, and go back to the atrium. From there, it would be as simple to go to the auror floor and call for Mr. Shacklebolt or something like that."

"Ok that would be good." Chris said.

"Let's hope it works," said Rhia. But for some reason, she couldn't hear Ryan and Lily talking anymore. It was as if they weren't there, though Rhia could sea them through a crack in the prophecies.

"Yeah let's hope." Chris said.

Lily sighed silently and grabbed ryan's arm as she apperated them both to the veil room.

"People were listening to us." she paused as she walked around the veil studying it with her eyes.

"yes, the prophecies are very interesting. Almost as interesting as this veil."

She sighed and took mental notes as she examined it.

"On any mission for him?" lily asked moving her hand around as if to say him is voldemort.

She kept pacing around the veil as she waited for his answer

Rhia heard a pop of apparition. SHe gasped: Ryan and Lily were gone! "Chris!" Rhia said. "Ryan and Lily apparated somewhere!"

"Oh no!" He yelled. "How will we get them now."

"Well," Rhia thought. "You could apparate to the atrium or something and get someone to put anti-apparition wards covering the Department of Mysteries, and... well... I 'll think of something I can do. But I can't do much, considering the fact that I can't apparate.

"Yes I will." Chris said.

He turned around and apparated to the atrium.

"Hello.. anyone we have Death Eaters in the Department of Mysteries we need an anti-apparation ward covering the Department.

While Chris apparated away, Rhia sighed in confusion. what was she supposed to do? She was only a fifth year, after all. Then she felt ashamed of herself. Harry fought Voldemort and won in his first year, Rhia remembered. Rhia enlarged her notebook which had been in her purse, and started taking notes about the prophecies. After all, that was why she had come to the Ministry in the first place! After about 15 minutes or so had passed, Rhia decided to ask an Unspeakable to take her to the Veil Room. Professor Trelawney had told her that that was where some of the oldest prophecies were kept, and though Prof. Trelawney was known to be unreliable, when she had told Rhia this bit of info, she hadn't had a whiff of cooking sherry about her. Rhia depart the Hall of Prophecy and after a brief conversation with an Unspeakable, was lead to the Veil Room.

Lily walked away as she heard ppl comine. The last thing she wanted was to be caught with a known DE. She found herself in the planet room...

Rhia entered the Veil Room just in time to catch the sight of a black robe going towards the Planet Room. Normally, Rhia would have been all for going after the wearer of teh robe, but the issue in front of her came first. Rhia say Ryan, the known Death Eater, pacing in front of the veil. She quickly disillusioned herself in case he turned around.

Ryan thought he had heard someone and quikly turned around, but no one was there. He turned back around to the veil and studied it.

Slowly drawing her wand so that she didn't make a sound, Rhia automatically went into a dueling stance. It was remarkable, really, how much you learned in the DA.Hoping to Merlin that it would work, June sent a nonverbal "stupefy" spell towards the Death Eater.

Ryan had luckly ducked down to pick something up when he saw red lights fly by. He grabbed his wand and yelled "Expelliarmus"

Rhia said a nonverbal "protego" and Ryan's spell shot back at him. Rhia quickly cast an invisibility charm on herself and then canceled her disillusionment charm. Invisibility charms worked so much better; after all, with these, you didn't have to worry about you opponent seeing patches of air shimmering as you moved.

Lily snuck out of the department unheard and then out of the ministry.

"well that was crap," she mummered, "a compelete waste of my time!" she apparted back to the gates of Hogwarts

Ryan was hit by the backfired charm and flew backwards.

After Ryan was hit by his own spell, Rhia nonverbally shot a stupefy at him.

Chris walked in the veil room and saw Rhia send red light towards Ryan. Ryan sent out the protego and protected himself.

Rhia saw Chris and then quickly dodged her returned spell. "Petrificus Totalus" she whispered.

Oddie sneaked into the department of mysteries to have a look at the profacies. SHe was curious to see if there were any about her. Of course she knew she wasnt anyone important so there probably wasnt but she also went there to see if there were any on the dark lord. She entered the room and put the invisablilty spellon herself so no one would know she was there and with that she started to have a look around

Having petrified the death eater, Rhia suddenly heard footsteps. Turning around, she asked cautiously, "Who's there?"

TAlly walked uncertainly into the department of mysteries.

"Hello?" she whispered weakly as beads of sweat began to form around her hairline.

This was something she and Lily would have done together, in the old days. Now, that was just a memory.

Tally had decided to come here because she needed to do something reckless, like Lily would've done.

She gulped lsightly and moved farther in to the department. She looked around and then jumped slightly when she felt someone's eyes on her. She turned around.

Rhia saw someone enter. "Who are you?" she asked, ready to use her wand at any moment. She had already gotten an Unspeakable to take the Death Eater she had petrified to the Ministry of MAgic.

"Tall-Tally Cathers," She responded, stuttering a little.

"WHo are you?" she questioned, trying to sound fearless.

TAll had avioded mentioning Lily to the girl.

"My name is Rhia Ai," Rhia replied. "What are you doing here?"

Oddie heard some one call out whos there but another girl came along and she knew that so long as she stayed invisible and didnt make any noise she could look around without them noticing. Oddie then continued on looking in each row trying to see if there were any profercies about the dark lord or her.

"Me? I-I'm here to look around, maybe actually learn something," Tally replied nervously.

She really wasn't good at this socializing crap. That had always been Lily's deal. Lately, everything Tally did had something to do with something that Lily would do. It was starting to eat at her. Why couldn't she just move on?

Oh yeah.

Lily had been her best friend.

Slowly Tally questioned Rhia, "So what brings you here?"

After looking through ten rows of isles Oddie started to think that there indeed be nothing about her here but she kept looking and eventually came acroos a profacy that said Oddie Riddle- and the rest was covered in dust. Looking around to make sure no one was near she went and grabed pulling it closly to her

Chris looked over at the girl named Tally. "Hello my name is Chris Potter."

Oddie tucked the profocy into her robes and looked around to make sure no one had seen her. After hearing or seeing any one close by she went to explore the rest of the place

Suddenly, Rhia heard footsteps. Turning in their direction, she 'shushed' Chris and Tally and asked, "Who's there?"

As Oddie continued on through to he other side of the room she heard some one say Who's there. Oddie frozed on the spot and tried to think of what to do. Should i run, no they would surely know someone heres she thought to herself. After a few min. Oddie put a nonverbal hover charm on herself and floated back behind one of the selves then she said a nonverbal countercurse for the invisbily spell and the hover charm reversing their effects then trying to act as if she wasnt doing anything bad she came out behind the selve and said "Are you talking to me. If so im just looking around. I havent touched anything" she said trying to sound calm.

Chris looked in the direction Rhia yelled towards. Then he saw Oddie. He had never expected Oddie to be here.
