Subject: Yourself and You Thu Mar 01 2007, 05:28

With this Class you can be as creative as you like. What I would like you to do is create a picture of yourself and include (at the most 5 and at least 2) objects that relate to you somewhere in the picture.

You have several choices of doing this, it depends on how creative you want to be. You can create a graphic using a graphics programme or you can draw something on paper and scan it or take a photo of it. It's up to you!

You can use colour or just pencil. It can be realistic or something completely different. Be as creative as possible.

Once you have created your picture post it up here (using the image codes) and then explain why you chose the objects in the picture. Make the explanation descriptive. (more descriptive, more points)

First of all let me say this - I can't draw for my LIFE. So here is my lovely attempt at your HW Elly. Enjoy it because it's a rare moment in my insanity. Then again that isn't so rare lol. Anyway here it is:

Now the obvious object in here is the lily flower. This of course has many meanings to me. A white lily means sweetness and everyone knows I'm as sweet as suger. On the other hand it's also the name everyone on Hogwarts Experience knows me by. It has literally become my actual name - it's become a part of me. Some have wondered and asked me where I got LilyFlower from. For those that don't know it was my original penname on HPFF when I posted fanfiction on there. But Lily as I said earlier became more to me.

The second object is a bit funny. My loop earrings. Many have said I look like a "ghetto fab latino" when I've worn them. Many don't know this but I'm not just italian - which is obvious to most. I'm actually half spanish as well from my mother's side. I've embraced both my cultures. I feel the earrings show that there's more than one side to me. It's unexpected but in a good way. A simple flip of my long chocolate locks would reveal the earrings and people would give a second look.

Tis me of course in the watercolor painting you see before you. Well, tis a watercolor painting I tried to make look like me.

The anhk on the lower left hand side of the painting symbolises two things. One, my love of egyptian things. Ever since I was a child, I have had an obsession with Egypt. I have a collection of egyptian style artwork. Such as minuriture statues of Isis, Bast, and a few others. Also the anhk represents my wonder of life. As a child I would spendd hours contemplating aspects of life. I would ponder about why certain things happen. Even why I can only hear me, which made me wonder if anyone else existed.

The paintbrush on the lower right of the painting represents my love of the arts. All my life I have loved anything artistic. Whether it be literature or painting, or even music. My life, at times, seems to be centered around art. Even, my role model had a major part in art. His name, you should all recongnize, was Leonardo Da Vinci. Yes, a man of mystery and genius. Days I have found myself staring in admiration at his paintings wondering what story lies behind them.

The book with the words 'Once Upon A Time...'(the words were supposed to look like they were coming out of the book XD) below the head is my love of books. Books take me to world diffrent than mine. One more exciting, mor thrilling. Whenever I feel I must get away, I read a book. As I read pictures of those things form in my mind, as if it were all real. Some days I even wish it were all real, no matter what hardships there are in the book.

Right above the book there is a necklace that lies on my neck. The necklace has a pentacle, which represents my religian, Wicca. Me, like my parents, are wiccan. No that does no mean we hex people or curse them to obvion. We focus more on the healing aspects of the craft. I am a proud wiccan, regardless of the prosectution from others. Currently,though, where I am currently living I am keeping my religion more hush. I am living in a town with many discriminatory bible thumpers, that if I did say I was wiccan, would shun me. Personly, I don't want to be the most hated person in town.

The last object I placed on the painting would be the heart in my hair. Yes it does look llike a hair clip, but I only placed it there so it would be on my head without looking too odd. The heart represents how I let my heart rule my head. I let my feelings of people controll what I do, rather than focus on the most logical choices. For example I let the love of my father bring me out here to Missouri, where I could face religious prosicution, rather than thinking and living with my mothere, where my religion can be open and accepted.

Ok, Here are the special things I put in my Picture.

My black hair reminds me of my Italian heritage which I am very proud of.
The black pearl earrings represent the real pearl earrings my mom got me 2 christmas's ago. I love them soooo much!
The black nail polish is just an example of how I like to be trendy and stay up with the new styles.
The dressy shirt represents how I like to dress up and wear stylish clothes. I'm always at the mall scoping out new fashions.

Okay, so I can't draw at all- even my stick figures are warped. The Irish flag is for the tatoo I have of one on my ankle (Erin Go Bragh!!!), the skirt is because even though it is March the weather where I am is super nice so I have whipped out my extensive skirt collection, and the shirt is green because I have just been shopping for the perfect green shirt (actually I found 4 of them at Old Navy!). My natural hair color is dark brown...I think, but at the moment it is dyed a medium reddish brown and it's long since I"ve been growing it out for over a year now and it's finally long enough to actually be considered long. My eyes are hazel, but I have them green in the picture because when I cry they become a brilliant green color. Oh, and the sandals are there because I just got a pedicure so I'm showing off my toes (painted Aphrodite's Pink Nightie).

The bottle of coke: Kind of random, but my entire family are Pepsi people. I don't even remember the last time we bought a bottle of coke... lol But I myself am a Coke person. Sure, people can say "But they taste the same!" Well not to my tongue, in my mind Coke tastes better than Pepsi. And my parents shun me for it. XD
The Sunglasses: I go through sunglasses so fast! I lose them, I scratch them, I break them, I end up simply not liking them, and it drives my parents nuts. But whenever we go on vacation to somewhere sunny I HAVE to buy new sunglasses. Freaky, but true.
The coffee-ish background (if that counts as an object, if not just ignore this part): I LOVE coffee, as most of you know. I am a complete starbucks addict, and would probably go crazy if someone decided to tear down all the starbucks in the world. I live about 3 minutes from a starbucks, and I normally finish close to half (if not more) of my drink before I even get home.

The person in the picture is me as a doll.

Clothes: The Asian-style shirt I'm wearing shows that I'm proud of my Chinese roots and heritage, the overall outfit shows that I'm stylish, the black heels show that I think that heels (if they look right) can go with any outfit, and the crescent moon earrings show that I love jewelry and that I love the moon.

Background (if that can be classified as a thing): The background's main color is blue which shows that blue is one of my favorite colors. The full moon shows that I love the moon, anything representing the moon, and any goddesses/gods that are goddesses/gods of the moon (take Rhiannon for example). I love the stars and the sky and nighttime, compared to the day, which is shown by the background, as well. And the little cupids show that I'm a romantic at heart and that I'm a firm believer in the power of love.

Books: The stack of books represents the fact that I love to read and I'm often called a bookworm. BOOKS RULE! lol XD Yourself and You 436937

Music notes: The music notes represent my love of music, especially classical. I play the clarinet and the piano and... well... I was partly raised on music!

Ok first the sunglasses. In the summer I always wear my sunglasses.
Second no shoes because shoes are for losers
third the animals I love animals I want to be a vet one day. I actually own a cat at the moment. I want a dog because they are cute and stuff.
Fourth my clothes So I dont wear stuff like that now but if I was skinnier I would. Camoflage is my favorite thing. I want to be an army chick because they are hard core. SO I plan on doing alot of stuff to build my muscles when I am older. Right now I am too lazy. This probably isnt long but I am confusing even to myself so I am going to say just one more thing. I prefere camoflage jeans.

Gaara (red-head) - It seems he is basically a sexy, male version of myself. I've been obsessed with him for ages, and not just because he's hot. Don't get me wrong, he's very hot, it's just that I can totally see where he's coming from. My childhood still haunts me to this day, and it's a big reason why I am the way I am today.

Big Sword (behind me)- I like me a big sword (lol). The bigger the better. They're great for impressive moves, and there's always a video game character with one. Big swords are awesome.

The Dress I'm Wearing- Btw, I'm the dark chick. Heh. I like fancy dresses alot. Even though I always dress a little tomboyish, I would just adore myself even more if I could put on a pretty dress and look in the mirror and actually feel pretty. That's not a feeling I get too many times.

The Desert Behind Us- I feel like I was raised in the desert, even though I can stand neither extreme heat nor extreme cold. Most people can't though, right? Anywho, some people tend to walk up to me and mistake me for something North African or Middle Eastern. I actually had a guy walk up to me and start speaking some language and I was like, "What...?" Lol.

The Moon - SAILOR MOON! No, but I did used to think there were people on the moon. I would sit and stare at it for hours, wishing I lived on the moon, away from all the things I hated and couldn't stand. It also symbolizes my yearning to escape my own body and have a new one, on an entirely different planet somewhere. Yeah, I'm a little demented.

And for those of you who don't know, Anovikaj Kyvichsniya is the name I want to change my current name to when I turn 18. Iritzsipv is just..a name XD.

Sun: I've been told I'm a "ray of sunshine" that can brighten people's days and make them smile...and I love that compliment XD It's also smiling, and most of the time I am too. And besides, what's better than a sunny day?

Hearts and Stars: My favorite things to doodle Yourself and You 436937

I think they're cute, hehe. Hearts- I've been told I wear my heart on a sleeve and haven't decided whether or not that's a good or bad thing. (Good: honesty. Bad: maybe too honest.) Stars- I love stargazing, the stars have always interested me. Constellations rock!

Castle: I've always loved fairy tales *will remain a little girl inside forever* And since when I grow up and become a princess (XD) it's good that I love castles! Enchanted ones especially...of course.

Viola: DORKESTRA IS THE MOST AWESOME CLASS EVER!!! Yup, it sure is. I've played the viola since 4th grade and have learned to love it. This year everyone not serious about playing dropped and it's become SO much fun! I'm 2nd chair Violist and so I get to sit by my best guy friend Justin which is really fun. And yes, it's just completely amazing and if you're in orchestra STAY in it and if you aren't JOIN.

I think that's everything....

Oh, about the girl- that's supposed to be me even though it doesn't really look like me, hahaha. I just love the drawing so much and think it represents me well enough, lol.

Goodness that took forever to put together...*curses paint* But it looks ok, right? I drew this assignment a few weeks ago and tried to scan it but our scanner didn't work sad

So this was my project for the week, hahaha.

Most of the objects in the picture are more symbolic than holding any real reference.

Witch Hat

The witches hat holds a rough and slim reference to Paganism. A lot of people seem to believe that Pagans think they fly around on broomsticks and create potions in big pots, but even though this is not the case, I have used this item to symbolise this part of me.

Multicoloured Glasses

This symbolises my unique outlook on life. I don't tend to see things in black and white, yet I see things in ways that spark a whole new meaning to life.

Cats Tail

I love my cats, past and present, and if I were an animal I believe this is probably what I would be. I am also a free and funloving person, aspects held dear to the feline.

Doctors Attire

This is symbolic of my alternate therapies qualifications

Mobile Phone

I love to talk, this is true, and what better way to symbolise this that a modern mobile phone.

Sandwich

I love to eat! I possibly need to lose some weight, which is also what this can symbolise!

Background: Woods

This symbolises my love of nature. I feel more at home in a wood background and feel relaxed and in touch with my inner spirit here

I really can't draw so I used a doll maker and then added a few of the things that are important in my life.

The Dog- This doesn't look exactly like my dog but it was the closest thing I could find. I have a yellow labrador retriever named Phoenix. He is my baby you could say. I live alone so it's just me and him and I spoil him rotten. He is an agility champion, winning 2nd place in a competition on memorial day. I love my doggy! I even send him to a doggy daycare when I have to work long hours at work, so this is why I included a picture of my dog. He is a very special part of my life.

The Lucius/Narcissa pic- I added this on there for a few different reasons. It is one of my favorite HP ships. Yes, I know they are evil, but they are so perfect for each other. Both purebloods, Death Eaters, have the same beliefs, come from the same type of family, it just works.

Another reason I love them is because I honestly believe that Narcissa is the best roleplay character that I play. A few people on HE have seen my Narcissa on a few different forums, (I play her at three) and I have had quite a few compliments on the way I portray her. Also, one of my best friends, who I love dearly always, always... plays my Lucius, Seamus, my HE hubby here. (Mischief Managed) We play them together flawlessly, and it's just a lot of fun.

The coffee- I am totally addicted to coffee, love the stuff and I drink way more of it than I should. Hazelnut, french vanilla, a cappachino, it doesn't matter, I will drink it lol.

The ink and quill- I love to write. It is one of my hobbies and my passions. Whether it be RP writing, fanfic, poetry, verses or working on the book I started, I just love writing. It is relaxing to me and it gives me a chance to bring out my creativity.

The hearts- I am a hopeless romantic. I just simply love, love. I cherish the small things when it comes to romance. I am a very affectionate person and when I am in love, I give all of my heart to the person I am with. I am also a sucker for love songs, romantic movies and romantic poertry. They tend to touch me quite deeply. When in love, I truly feel complete as a person, my whole outlook on things are quite a bit different than when I am alone. Luckily, I have someone's heart to hold right now. Someone who was once a great friend, now, so much more.

I have no ability to draw. Nor do I have the inclination. However, I love making dolls. I have incorporated the glass of red wine, because I love cabernet. I've got the musical background because, well... I have a musical background. There's a frog in there because it's one of my favorite animals (I couldn't find a snake). Lastly, I've got the scorpion for my zodiac sign.
