Duelling Round 1 : Instructions

For this duelling term, the rounds are going to run slightly differently.
The first round will be the longest and the other rounds will be much shorter.

Instructions

Each member will duel every member in their group Once. All your 4 games will be open at the same time!

Each game will be allowed a maximum of 6 posts each and you may use both creative spells and known spells from HP

You will not be marked purely on how long your posts are, yet you will be marked on the following;

* Eye for surroundings
* Defensive and offensive spells (both what spells are used and how well they are used)
* Knowledge of spells
* Eye for detail (both your own posts and others posts)
* Inventiveness and creativeness as a whole
* Multi-tasking through all 4 of your duels

Round 2

Congratulations to all those who have made it through to this next round. The instructions are as follows;

Instructions

You have been split into three groups depending on where you placed in the last round (ie: 1st placings grouped together etc).

Each group will have one match opened for them and you will duel against all of the members of the group at the same time in a group battle.

You are allowed an unlimited amount of posts (though please do not double post) and you may use both creative spells and known spells from HP

You will not be marked purely on how long your posts are, or how many (though this will be one small factor of the marking) yet you will be marked on the following;

* Eye for surroundings
* Defensive and offensive spells (both what spells are used and how well they are used)
* Knowledge of spells
* Eye for detail (both your own posts and others posts)
* Inventiveness and creativeness as a whole
* Awareness of all members in your group

Your posts will be opened shortly.

The lowest scoring two people in each group will be eliminated after the round has finished.

At the moment there is no closing date for this round, though it will not be open as long as the first round.

Round 3 Instructions


Round 3 will bring in the new rules, concentrating upon your status and levels within HE as a whole.

These rules are as follows;

1- Animagus and Apparation are allowed but only for those who passed the tests. If you use these you may recieve more points, though anyone using these without having passed their tests, they will have points removed.

2- Healing during duels is not allowed/allowed only as part of the course and only a few times if needed as it ruins the
course
of the duel if you keep healing yourself! You are not able to die,
though, and your opponent must not kill you in any way. You must
continue to duel after being hurt, reflecting your spells and role play
upon this injury. Being injured does not take points from you, though
points will be added if you react and act in the correct way
afterwards.

3- You are allowed to bring THREE items into the duel only. You must state what three items you have brought into the duel within your first post, saying what they are and what they do. If items are not mentioned in the first post, then they can not be used (wand is the exception). You must not use items which can be deemed higher than your post count in years. At the moment there is no official list, so you must use this rule to your disgression.

4. You must
not role play for your opponent/s. You must let your spell play out and
your opponent react in the way they think is best. Points are not lost
for injury, but are gained for how each of you react and act against
one another.


You will be marked specifically on keeping to these rules, as well as the usual rules.

There will be one group with all remaining players competing against one another.
