1. When they are ypung they are golden, and then they tur silver, retaining the golden hoofs. Whne fully grown they bcome bright white. Pearly white mane and tail. A single horn in the middle of their heads with swirling striations down the length of it.

2. The name of the unicorn consellation is Monoceros.

3. 5,000 years ago to Emporer Fu Hsi.

4. Julius Ceasar, 1st century, Germany. Alexander the Great, 3rd century, Asia. Genghis Khan early 1200's.

5. Known as the Qilin, the Eastern unicorn has the body of a deer and the head of a lion with horses hooves. Again there is mention of a single short horn in the middle of its head. One difference is instead of the mane being pearly white, it is a mixture of red, yellow, blue, white, and black to represent the five sacred Chinese colors. It is also said to have yellow hair on its belly.

6. The Black Unicorn, by Terry Brooks, The Last Unicorn, by Peter S. Beagle and Song of the Wanderer, by Bruce Coville.

7. The parts of the unicorn used in potions are the horn, the tail hair, and blood. The tail hair can also be used in wand making. Horns can be bought from the apothicary in Diagon alley for 21G. Unicorn tail hair can fetch 10G a hair. Unicorn blood was used in the potion used to reveive Voldermort in the Goblet of Fire.
