Animal Transfiguration

I believe that if I were to transfigure into an animal, it would surely be a cat, for several reasons. Firstly, I am more of a nocturnal person, and whereas cats do spend a lot of hours sleeping during their day, they tend to be rather active in the nighttime - however, they are pretty lazy individuals, especially house cats, and I can't deny that if I have the choice between comfortably settling down on a couch in front of a nice movie, or going out for a run or any other physical activity, chances are I'll be snuggling up in the living room. I also have my independant side - I do enjoy talking to people, but strangers can easily annoy me, and I'm not the type to enjoy large gatherings. I don't go out a lot, and socializing is just not my thing - just like cats, who can turn their back to someone easily if they're bored with them, and who also tend to have their own selfish nature of seeking humans only for food and petting purposes. However, I can also be very affectionate when I'm craving someone's closeness, as a cat is when they want to be pet and scratched by their master. Besides, all a cat's life is is sleep, eat and be pet - who wouldn't want that?

As far as appearance go, I believe I would be likely to turn into a brown tabby cat, because the mix of lighter and darker shades of brown on his coat reflect the colors my hair has been - I had blonde hair through my childhood, then it darkened to dirty blonde, and now it is simply brown. Also, I would probably keep my green eyes, which are possible but not the most common in cats, and I most likely would have a few markings all over to indicate things that I never take off - around the eyes for my glasses, around the right wrist for my bracelet, and around my right ring finger and left little finger for the two rings I wear day and night.

If I could transfigure myself into any animal I'd be an Egyptian Mau. These cats are like all the other normal cats in a lot of ways. They're sleepy and lazy, they do what they want when they want and expect to be fed, pet and loved when they want to be. More than that though, these cats truly match my personality. They do happy dances when they're pleased, they're known for 'singing' and making strange noises quite frequently. They're known to be intelligent for cats and are able to pick up many details very easily. They avoid strangers, especially the loud ones and are curious by nature but smart enough to avoid anything that could be dangerous to them. Plus, they find people that they really like, a small group of them, and are loyal in a 'dog like' fashion to them. I really don't think I could find myself more in any animal.

I'd probably be a darker shade than the cat above as I've always had dark hair and I think that the typical mascara lines on the Mau would be transformed into fully around the eyes to represent the glasses that I've had to wear since I was seven years old. Other than that, I think I'd be able to pass just as an average Mau.
