TRANSFIGURATION and DADA VACANCY: Apply Within

I don't know if i can be a professor whilst also being a prefect.


I am applying for the post of Transfiguration professor i would love to become a professor because from first joining HE i have always wanted to be one. I know many people have always wanted to be a professor and i understand that many people will be going for the post. I also think i will be perfect for the job because I am quite active upon the site and to be a professor you must be active and always here to help. I also think that i would be good for the post because i am forever trying to do as much homework as i can for Ravenclaw.One other reason i beileve i would be good for the job is that i have just been made prefect and student of the month showing that I am hard working and loyal to the site. I understand that the professors have much more responsibility's than a normal member or a prefect.

I would like to apply for the position of DADA professor.DADA is one of my favorite subjects and it would be an honor to be able to teach it. I have wanted to be a professor on HE for a while and I believe I would be good at it since I am practically always online, except for when my computer crashes, and I believe I could come up with some interesting class assignments.

HE is like a second home to me, so seeing it thrive and prosper with full classes and new students brings me joy. Therefore being able to revive a class that has been pretty dormant this term, by becoming the new professor would be amazing! That is why I am applying to become the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor. I have been a loyal student since I first joined and have been very active. I have been made prefect 2 times running, I am on my house quidditch team, and currently the house point leader for my house. I am also curretnly the Prefect Substitute for DADA, so it would be a failry easy transition. I have many wonderful and creative ideas for this class and would be a huge asset to HE's future. Part 1

Write a 200 word essay on how Harry, Ron, and Hermione could use transfiguration in their hunt for horcruxes, and how transfiguration could be used to defeat Lord Voldemort in the final battle.

Even though I'm the Astronomy teacher I'd like to apply for the job of DADA professor, keeping my Astronmy teacher job as well.

I've been here for a while now so I have a good knowledge of how things work in terms of classes and grading.

The reason I want this position is because i come up with a new type of class which i think it will be more interesting for students as well as for the teacher as it will involve a current work of both student and teacher.

My idea is to have a kind of RPG class type. DADA is suppose to prepare us for the world, learning how to defend ourselves, which had been working perfectly in theory, but i think it's time to make it more pratical.

DADA pratical tests how would they work? I'd have students to sign up for the test. After I'll open an individual thread to each student. I'll set up a scenario and through several posts both mines and the students, the student would have to deal with what i put to challenge him. The student would be tested and how theh'd react and how well they can put the theory they learn into pratice.

Of course I'd keep with the theory class for other students for not all the students wish to be test or have what it takes to face the Dark Arts obstacles. And the students who do the pratical tests as well need to keep developing their knowledge.

I'd also start discussions so people interact and share their opinions on the Dark Arts, who knows mayne one's knowledge and way of thinking could another's salvation.

I am applying for DADA professor.

I would like to be DADA professor because I'm always looking for something fun to come up with, and i think coming up with DADA classes would be fun. I'm online everyday, more than once so i can almost always have time to post new assignments and grade ones that have been completed.

I am applying for the position of Transfiguration Professor. I'd like this job because, as I said before, I've always looked up to the Professors and I've always wanted to be one. I believe I could give a lot to the job and to HE. Also, as I stated before, from the 19th to the 4th, I will not have access to the internet, but from there on out, I will be on the internet daily and for long periods of time, like today. I've been student of the month before and I am one of the Gryffindor Prefects, for the second time running, which shows that I am an active member of this site. I am known for coming up with creative classes like in the Prefects Bathroom and I feel that I'd be able to post classes and grade them regularly.

My class example:

For this class, you must list atleast one incident from each of the six Harry Potter books now out where a good example of transfiguration has been used. You must describe the incidents in detail and then, write how that kind of transfiguration could be used succesfully in either a battle of a duel. This class is worth 45 points in total. You will be graded on indepth detail and descriptions for your incidents.

What Qualifies you to be a professor: A member for at least 6 months now, and I am a prefect. I am also really loyal to the site, and I really want to be more involved! I have tried many times before to be professor and have not yet been accepted (which is fine but I would like to be involved!

Class Example:
As Harry entered his third year, he met his favorite porfessor, Lupin, who decided he would take the year to teach the class about Dark Magical Creatures. His first lesson involved taking the class to the staff room so they could have practice tackling a boggart. In the end, all the students (even Neville) Learned how to defeat one. Let's revisit that lesson.

Before we are ready to try it on the real thing, I think it's best to simply learn the theory and be mentally prepared. (Don't Worry, we'll get to the practical!) So if you will, please explain to me the best way to tackle a boggart in 50 - 150 words please. Short and sweet, is the best!

After further thought I have decided to apply for the post of DADA professor as well as the Transfiguration one. I Believe I will be good for the position because DADA is one of my favourite lessons here on HE and it would be such an honour to teach it.
