Brave student, welcome to the Daring's Chamber.

This is where, if you choose it to, you shall be taking Practical Tests in DADA in a RPG way. Please notice that this has nothing to do with your characters in the great hall you will be posting as yourselves. You will be tested for your boldness, courage, cold thinking and fast reaction among other skills.

In order for you to take the tests follow the next steps:

Step 1 - Go to the sign up thread. Please make you sure you sign only after you read all the rules and information here and you're certain that you want to take the test. You must sign every time you wish to take a test.

Step 2 - After you sign you must take the "Psychological Examination". You must do this only once.

Step 3 - After you completed your Psychological examination I'll open a thread with your name. A scenario shall be described to you and you only have to interact with as it goes, that is the obstacles are put in your way.

Observations:

- If you have passed you Apparition Test or Animagus you can use that abilities during the test but please make sure you state it in your sign up post

- Also if you have passed any owl state it on the sign up thread too for this will give a higher advantage

- When you pass a Level, if you wish to take the test in the next level you must sign again

Practical Tests Grading

First Level

171-200: Outstanding
131-170: Exceeds Expectations
91-130: Acceptable
61-90: Poor
31-60: Dreadful
Below 30: Troll

Second Level

261-300: Outstanding
211-260: Exceeds Expectations
151-210: Acceptable
91-150: Poor
41-90: Dreadful
Below :40 Troll

Third Level

351-400: Outstanding
281-350: Exceeds Expectations
201-280: Acceptable
121-200: Poor
51-120: Dreadful
Below 50: Troll

When marking the test I’ll be checking for:

- Creativity

- Congruity, that is how ‘real’ and according to your year/skills you remain, powerplaying will make you lose your points in this category

- Knowledge of what you’re facing and how to handle it

In order for you to advance for the next levels you need to get certain grades:

- You need an “A” in level 1 to get to level 2.

- You need an “EE” in level 2 to get to level 3.

- You need an “O” to pass you level 3 test.

You can repeat a test until you get the necessary grade to move to the next level and you can only repeat a test once that you passed in order to get a better grade.

Creatures

The purpose of this test is for you to battle creatures, mostly Dark creatures but also other creatures will be put in your way. I will be seeing if you can identify the creature you’re facing, how you defend yourself from it, how you interact with the environment to help you and how you can use other creatures to help you. Be creative apply both imagination and knowledge of what we know about you’re facing.

Level 1 – You’ll be put against creatures Classified by the Ministry of Magic as

X – Boring

XX – Harmless/May be domesticated

XXX – Competent Wizard should cope

Level 2 - You’ll be put against creatures Classified by the Ministry of Magic as

XXXX – Dangerous / Requires Specialist Knowledge / Skilled Wizard may handle

Level 3 - You’ll be put against creatures Classified by the Ministry of Magic as

XXXXX – Known Wizard Killer / Impossible to train or Domestic
