Are you a closet HP fan??

wow, this is the second topic I posted today. Oh well, I'm just curious.. So do you often let people know that you are obsessed with HP??

As for me, I don't. I deny Harry Potter to death! If there is such a thing as HP hell then I'm sure I'll go there.

My sisters know, but my parents. No way! I have developed reflexes to close any HP website I'm on when they are passing by. Haha!

My friends are really the ones I would never ever tell. I know they won't say I'm a freak to my face but what if I'm not looking anymore? They know I read the books but they don't know that I write fanfictions and that I ship R/Hr and all that. I'm just scared they'll make fun of me.

My Boyfriend knows, though I don't let him any of my stuff. Hehe. I'm shy. :oops: Well, sometimes he gets mad at me because I spend way too much time on HP stuff that I rather stay home and chat with people than go on a date with him. Haha. We fight over it sometimes. :D

So how about you guys? Are you a closet HP fan? or do you scream to the world that you love HP? :cheers:

Definetely a closet fan, though I'm ashamed to say so. I've told some of my friends that I read it, but that's like it. Haha, yeah, I've also gotten special HP-reflexes. I should be a seeker xD

No I shout to the world. litarely. I went to the top of a building and shouted. "I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!!" Then I was kicked off the roof by grumpy gaurds. THey said they got to many complantes.

I scream it to the world! lol My friends call me a HP freak ^^

hahah I would say Im half and half...my family and bf all know about my obsession but my friends? they don't. haah trish you know I usually go on at school and if anyone comes around them quickly click to mail or yahoo..lol but once they're gone...it's back to doing elfie's hw..hah although my bf bought me a laptop! So all I have to do is go to a corner where there's free internet and wont be disturbed!! lol so i sound sad?

I'm not afraid to admit I like Harry Potter. Hehehe After all, I'm just a kid at heart.

I was able to admit I was obsessed with Star Trek - so a HP addiction was nothing, actually most people were expecting something of the sort.

I never care what other people think, so I don't care if they don't like HP. I still scream it to the world!

lol - yes Harry Potter is certainly nothing compared to star trek lol - my brother is into that and he has all the models and he laughts at me for liking Harry Potter lol

It depends.... if it is in school, I just scream I'm a HP freak when I know carefully who's around...

but usually I let people know I like it when I meet new people, in case they like it too....

Trish - you read my mind...i'm a closet fan...my parents think I revise. Or play on solitaire. I feel bad but i am allowed ten minutes before bed to go on HP sites...that's all they "allow".

Closet alll the way! my parents know I like it...and my mom knows I read fanfics..she just doesnt know what they are about...wheneber someone comes in my room..I minamize any hp stuff!! and my mom thinks I get jumpy when she comes in..thats why...but she thinks I am like...looking at er..porn or something! she really one time asked me if I was talking to people...as in planning on meeting strangers!! soo yeah...closet for sure!

My friend saw me reading all the books and was like 'ur obsessed...' and said stupid stuff...imgain if she relaly knew...ohhh god...

so no one knows....I mean..only my cousin Chelci! she like hp too..not as much as me but she co wrote a random fic once..and I read fics to her soemtimes [she HATES reading] and she has rpd before..she thinks it fun...so yeah..she is the only person.

i am an absolute closet fan also a huge lotr closet fan.Last year when everyone heard i was a huge lotr fan i got bullied and still am.I know now i wlill never be accepted i'll always be the elf girl.

Closet-HP FAN! XD

Well, i don't yell about it to the world cuz mostly i'm so deep in my own thoughts that i simply forget to do it, but if i only would remember, i would.

Everyone knows i'm a hp fan, and if someone has a problem with that, they don't dare to say it to my face. Gee, they don't even dare to say it behind my back :D

Anyway, my friend's hockey team thinks i'm just totally cute when i come to their trainings to watch them and tell them about hp (they don't have time to read stuff like harry potter because of their trainings 6 times a week and jobs, awww) But they asked me to come with them to a tournament in Norway and read them Harry Potter as a bedtime story, but i didn't have time so i skipped it. They like to call me Harriet Potter when they want to be mean, which happens often, even if it ends us all to crack up.

My bro knows i'm a hp freak, he's just a reader. He said, that the day he joins some 'stupid fansite of hp' will be the day i'm the president.... well, that's gonna happen soon lol!

My parents thinks hp is just some crap, a waste of money, something that destroys teenager's brains, gives us stupid ideas...... Well, they can just kiss my butt!!!!! They know about this site and they (meaning my mum) told me to get away from here and read something 'better'... Bahh! I do what i want and this is what i wanna do :D

At my school, it is very uncool to like Harry Potter. Well, no, not uncool to like it, but uncool to let people know you are a fan. My friends made fun of me when they found out I like it, but if they knew about the hpff and this site.....! Too scary to think about.

Yeah, this year I just started accepting that I have an obsession. All of my family knows, friends too. And also random people in my class. : )

I've let my friends see my fanfics up on HPFF, but I've kept some to myself too. I have two stories in my head and some of them on paper that no one has seen. Except one that Pad's seen and helping with. Well, was helping with. I haven't seen him around for ages.

I'm a closet fan; end of story!

The only ones who know are my family; my mother, uncle, aunt and my three cousins. My best friend Thomas knows and I sorta got him into the fandom, so he's cool with it. But if anyone else were to find out, especially my school mates. I'd be taunted and labeled forever!

Almost like Cookie said, it's uncool to let people know how you're into HP. My school isn't very into that sorta stuff, I mean, my school library banned the HP books! So how am I gonna go around and say I'm obsessed with HP? They'd kill me with taunting!

I would tell them, if they didn't mind it, but they do. Harry Potter is brought up every once in a blue moon because of me. I alwyas bring up the new movie coming soon or the books and they're all like "WTF? You like Harry Potter?" So I lied and told them I found the books and movies interesting, I didn't tell them I was obsessed with it!!

So, for now, I am staying a closet fan.

Soooo funny... I carried one of my non-HP-fan-class colleagues to watch GoF ... we had awfully bad places because the cinema was FULL and then, when we got out, I was nevertheless totally hyper and sooo excited about the movie but she was kinda grumpy and only said that her neck hurt (well, we were in the 2nd row.. ) .. and she still talks of her negative experience today! XD blaaaa... and most of the people in our class are just making fun of Harry.. we had a GoF poster in our class last year and they uhmmm turned Harry into a ganster... XD

Anyway, HP-fans rock! Like, I really can't understand people who don't like Harry... XD

I am such a closet fan. To the whole world I appear to not have a definate opinion on HP. Only a select few of my friends know how much I adore the series. To everyone else, it just .... doesn't seem to appeal to me.

My 25 year old brother, on the other hand, is the one who shouts to the world that he loves Harry Potter.
