| I saw the premier in my country yesterday. [July 10th] Anyways,I love the movie! The rest are spoilers. - Spoiler:
I love the part where Hermione commands Grawp to put her down and Ron hits Grawp with the stick! The was also this one part where Umbridge asks Snape what Harry was talking about "He's got Padfoot." and snape just says "No idea." I absolutely love that part!
Too bad Snape's Worst Memory wasn't much and all I could see was quick flashes of pictures

| I just got back from seeing the midnight premiere of the movie in the U.S. Below, are spoilers and what I thought of it. I thought the movie was great.... but there were also the not-so-great moments. Imelda Staunton was a WONDERFUL Prof. Umbridge... She was so sadistic and sickly sweet that it was incrediblydisgusting... But throughout the movie, my friend (who I saw it with) and I were saying things like "Wow! She's a great Umbridge" and "I love to hate her". But at times, you really really really hate hate hate her... Helena Bonham Carter was great at playing Bellatrix. She only had three lines (plus one additional spell), but she WAS Bella. The fight at the ministry was spectacular and she was spectacular in it. Evanna Lynch... a wonderful new actress. Like what I said about Carter, Evanna WAS Luna. If perfection exists, she was it. The expression, the words, the movements, the mood was all there. I never knew dreaminess could be so dreamy.... lol - Spoiler:
One of the things I disliked about the movie was how Sirius died. The veil wasn't even in the right place and it seemed to be filled with mist...there was no real veil. Just white strands of mist... Bellatrix said, "Avada Kedavra" to him. Sirius kinda leaned backwards a bit and then the moving mist sort of pulled him in and up.. into nothingness..I was really frustrated and still am about how his death was botched. Normally, I'd have cried buckets, but this time, I didn't cry that much because I was too busy screaming (mentally of course) about how the veil, spell, and death were all Wrong! But overall, OotP was great and I am sooo glad that I got there for the midnight showing.. At our theater, there were some problems with the projector (hits it) so the movie started late..like around 12:20 or something like that. My dad and brother were also there and my dad hasn't read the books so he thought it was really bad. I think the only people who could fully enjoy OotP were people who read the books...

| I really, really enjoyed the film! I wasn't going in with super-high expectations, because the first four films aren't brilliant, but I have to say this one was really good! I'll put the rest under spoiler tags. Random thoughts: - Spoiler:
-Loved the opening - I thought it set the tone about right for the rest of the film. Dudley and his gang were perfect, and chavs as well! -The Dementor attack was good, although I'm a bit confused as to why Harry's patronus wasn't corpereal. Does he produce a corpereal one at that point in the book? -The Order arriving to pick Harry up and the subsequent journey to Grimmauld Place was fun - Tonks and Kingsley looked great, and I loved how they showed almost immediately that Tonks could change her appearance, even if that wasn't explained. -Grimmauld Place: not how I imagined it from the outside, but the inside was perfect. Creepy, dusty and eery, and the scene with the extendable ears was fun. -Ministry of Magic - great. Not how I imagined it, but wonderfully realised nonetheless. I think we should have seen Percy at his trial, considering this sets up his going against the Weasley's however. -Back to Hogwarts and the introduction of Luna was good, though I wish Ginny had been in the cart with them at that point. -Umbridge! Imelda Staunton is THE perfect Umbridge, and we could tell that from the start. -The section leading up to Christmas with organising the DA was good, though I didn't really get a sense of time passing. I liked the scene in the Hogs Head. -The Kiss. Well, I don't like Cho so I didn't really like this bit. It was handled well though. -The attack on Mr Weasley. It's a shame we didn't get to go to St. Mungo's, but it was explained well enough so that's OK. -All of the parts with Umbridge and Trelawney, and putting up her educational decrees, getting rid of Dumbledore and the detentions were really good - she is just the perfect amount of sickly sweet on the surface but evil underneath. -Fred and George's exit! Even though there was no swamp and no Peeves, I loved this part! -Tricking Umbridge to go into the forest, Grawp and the centaurs - that was all good too. Speaking of Grawp, I thought he was great! So sweet when he gave Hermione that bell thing. -The flight to the Ministry was great, and I loved the music at that part. -The whole scene in the hall of prophecy was really creepy - the DE's in their masks are very scary looking. I LOVED how it was Ginny who sent the spell at the DE that made all the prophecies fall down. Oh and speaking of Ginny, I liked all the little glances she gave Harry whenever Cho was mentioned or near. I wish they'd included at least one of the scenes with Harry though (lucky you/chocolate in the library). -The battle in the veil room was a bit too short, I thought. I think it could have been longer and more...desperate seeming. -Sirius' death wasn't great, not sad at all. -The posession in the atrium almost made me cry, when Harry went through his happy memories of his friends and parents to force Voldemort out. That was more poignant and sad than Sirius' death. -The whole atrium scene was done very well IMO. -Bellatrix! HBC was GREAT, even though she didn't have many lines. She looked insane! -DD's office - where was CAPSLOCK!Harry? He should have thrown things around a bit! -The ending - slightly cheesy but I've come to expect that from the films. It also kind of shows that Harry needs his friends, which is true.
I'm sure I've forgotten some things...but I did really like it and think it was the first HP film they've not totally mucked up!

| i have to agree with everything Amy said. Although, i did find myself slightly bored at one point that soon changed, the special effects were amazing and i didn't expect anything as spectacular to what i saw. - Spoiler:
*Lucius and Sirius's fight had me giggling like mad! *Bellatrix and Neville and the whole "hows mum and dad" made me feel as if the final book will see Neville go up against Bella properly. *The KISS - i was bored at this point i thought after watching the scene that too much had been put on it if ya know what i mean. *Dudley and the Dursleys were amazing! I love how Dudley is just a is pictured him the book! *Umbridge rocks! *The Death Eaters are totally creepy, i soooooooooo wanna be one! * Snape and Malfoy were excellent for the tiny time they were on screen, i wish we could of seem more of them both, mainly Snape. *Hermione and Grawp was excellent i even went awww when she told him off lol. *i loved the whole ron hermione thing again, in the grawp scene, ron is such a loveable dork. *Luna and Tonks were brilliantly, Evanna played Luna perfectly and i only wish we'd seen more of Tonks and Lupin.

| lol I didn't go into detail, but if I had, I agree w/everything Etta and Amy have said. - Spoiler:
* Wasn't 12 Grimmauld Place supposed to be under the Fidelius charm? * I loved how Moody's staff blocked a spell * I also loved the scene when Voldemort's looking at the ceiling and all the shattered glass is coming down.. I just think that was really well done. * And I loved how Hermione said, "Well she just couldn't take her eyes off of you could she?" after the Hog's Head thing

| Okay here are my thoughts on the film - Spoiler:
Okay well I thought it was good but it really annoyed me the way the prophesy was said I mean it wasn't even spoken fully pfft. I think they should have done a bit more on kreacher. I thought the department bit was great but I hated the way the viel was done it was just silly smoke and I always imgined it to be against a wall and not in the middle. Well that is just me really isn't it I mean a lot of thing wern't how I imagined them. I loved how tonks was though wish she was on more Luna was amazing Umbridge was pretty good reminded me of my horrible step mum My favourite person had to be bellatrix lestrange I just loved her so over dramatic and perfect.

| Some more thoughts as I've remembered them: - Spoiler:
-I loved how the Daily Prophet was used to do transitional scenes -I didn't like how Sirius said "Good one James!" to Harry just before he died. It sort of hit the wrong tone, IMO... -Dumbledore's exit was very well done, and I have to say Gambon was a LOT better as DD in this film. -Umbridge being carried off by the Dementors. Yay! -the MUSIC! Oh, I loved the music in this film. It really suited the moments and I love how they still weave the original John Williams Hedwig's Theme into parts of the soundtrack. -I didn't even notice the lack of Quidditch...though if they want to incorporate it into the next book (which is important for several plot points), they might have a job explaining Ron as the keeper. -Sirius got killed with the AK, then fell through the veil. It looks like, as far as the films are concerned, he's deady dead dead.

| Just abit more stuff. - Spoiler:
Mrs figg did not look right to me. Grawp was cute? The theastrals looked like dinosaur's to me. And why are they replacing Dobby with Neville. Like in the 4th one its Dobby who gives Harry the gillyweed and they use Neville In this one they used Neville as the one who found the room.

- Mrs. Figg looked sooo wrong to me! - The veil...well...I'll agree tp everything that's been said before. And I've also always imagined it to be against a wall. - The locket wasn't there, was it? I mean, come on, it's THE locket, the locket of the thousand theories :/ - I loved Bellatrix! - Grawp was really sweet, I liked that bike-bell scene (: - Might only be in the German version....The prophecy wasn't complete They left out the part that one has to die at the hand of the other, and the July stuff... Overall, I think it was the best movie so far

| Some of my opnions: - Spoiler:
I did not care for Mrs. Figg either...her voice was so low! Not what I imagined. Umbridge and Bellatrix were perfect, but I was disappointed iin TOnks- althought the role was so slight that I will reseve judgement until the next book- if they keep the Tonks/Remus ship in the movie...
I liked the movie, I really did, but I really noticed all the things they left out- and what was that with Harry pulling a wand out in front of Dudley's friends! But I am going to go to Tulsa to see it on the IMAX screen, I think now that my expectations are no longer sky high that I will enjoy the movie without picking it apart.

| Oh, and when I watched the movie, the film stopped after some minutes, still before the - Spoiler:
dementor attack
, I think. Thank God it continued normally after some minutes (which felt like hours...). - Spoiler:
And in the playground opening scene, both Harry and Dudley with gang looked kinda strange, but it was worse with Dudley's side. They were, like, standing in a 45-degree-angle instead of the vertical way normal humans stand. I really wondered about that ^^

| hm I found the movie pretty much OK, but I was a bit disappointed because.. well, it just didn't have the same magic about it, in my opinion... nevertheless, there were a lot of cool things about it, the best of them here: - Spoiler:
- Luna! .. honestly didn't pay much attention to her earlier in the books, but she was great in the movie! :D - Umbridge - again a great actress, couldn't have played better! - Snape and McGonagall - again great acting, as always :D - generally, the first half of the movie was bette, me thinks...
and on the negative side: - Spoiler:
- the trial: it had looked much more impressive in the trailer, but the full version of it was... a bit disappointing - the department of mysteries scene... I understand that they had to cut a lot, but this was just too shortened and it got a bit lifeless... just jumping from scene to scene kinda reduced the whole drama of it to a minimum.. and Sirius' death.. lol I barely heard Bellatrix say "Avada Kedavra" and had to ask my friend "err wait did she just push him into the veil or what?"
unfortunately, I don't have time to read all of your posts... I'll do that later (aka in september xD)
