Subject: The Dursley's Sat Jul 21 2007, 01:50

I was a little disappointed that we didn't find out what happened the the Dursley's in the end. Oh, I'm sure they're just living their life as normally as possible, but I would have been interested to see.

For a moment at the start of the book I thought that Dudley was perhaps being nicer to Harry because he'd started showing magical powers, but I guess not.

I thought j.k. said there was going to be someone who was a squib revealed with magical powers. And we didn't find out what he say with the dementors. Though I thought that dudley was really cool at that point and I stopped hating him.

Yes, I was really pleased Dudley had that tiny chance that proved he wasn't quite as bad as he seemed.

I was kind of expecting there to be something from Petunia though, but I suppose we did find out where her resentment comes from. She had been jealous of Lily's powers and written to Dumbledore asking to attend Hogwarts.

Hehe, we also found out a nickname - not Petty like fandom seemed to use, but "Tuney".

My opinions about the Dursely's changed a lot. From loathing them, i went to first feeling sorry for them, then kind of proud. I mean, Dudley was so adorable - somehow :D And Petunia! Ugh! I sooooo wanted her to say something to Harry before she left!!! >__<

And I like that the book showed that Petunia didn't like Lily because she was a witch or a freak- she was just jealous. sad

Dudley was great, he really showed a better side at the end when it really mattered. Petunia did surprise me, but as said above, I can see why - she is probably still holding thoughts of jealousy.

All the Dursleys but Vernon kind of earned some 'kool points' in my book.

Dudley didn't think Harry was a waste of space and thanked him-sort of! But, as Harry said, something like that coming from Dudley is pretty much 'like an "I love you"'

And Aunt 'Tuney' (*giggles*) didn't insult Harry has he left...or ever. Must be a first. I have to admit, I felt bad for Petunia due to how she was jealous of Lily for such a long time and then how Snape hurt her when she was trying to figure out what he and Lily were talking about.

and Uncle Vernon...well...can't win 'em all.

Aww Dudley was just adorable.
You know like "I don't think you are a waste of space." and the was I believe "You saved my life" Awwwww. I just loved him.
At least he cared about Harry and probably they would have been good friends at the end, you know if they had talked to each other more and stuff.

Vernon and Petunia were as expected. Although Uncle Vernon was kinda funny in his own way you know how he changed his mind every 24 hours. That was quite funny.
And Petunia as a little girl, that was a great part too. How Lily called her Tuney. Aww. But I wanted to kill her when read what happened at Kings Cross...can you say Jealousy? How could she be so mean to her sister. Well Lily was much prettier anyway. The Dursley's 436937

Dudley really surprised me and changed my whole outlook upon him. Vernon and Petunia, even though they didnt show anything towards Harry, I thought their whole personas had changed to be slightly better

I really wanted to find out what happened to them...where they went, if Harry ever contacted them again after the fact, ect.

Cause Dudley was so cute with Harry. hahaha. "You're not a waste of space." Loved it. And I would also like to find out what Aunt Petunia was going to say...I think it would have been really interesting...

Alas, we can't know everything. xD

I like it when fan fictions mention it in some way, the individual's interpretation of the future. ^.^
