The Trio's Careers

According to someone on another forum, JKR revealed on the Today Show what the careers of the trio are.

We know that Harry marries Ginny and has three kids, essentially, as Rowling explains, creating the family and the peace and calm he never had as a child.
As for his occupation, Harry, along with Ron, is working at the Auror Department at the Ministry of Magic. After all these years, Harry is now the department head.

“I would imagine that her brainpower and her knowledge of how the Dark Arts operate would really give her a sound grounding,” Rowling said.

Harry, Ron and Hermione don’t join the same Ministry of Magic they had been at odds with for years; they revolutionize it and the ministry evolves into a “really good place to be.”

“They made a new world,” Rowling said.

The wizarding naturalist
Luna Lovegood, the eccentric Ravenclaw who was fascinated with Crumple-Horned Snorkacks and Umgubular Slashkilters, continues to march to the beat of her own drum.

“I think that Luna is now traveling the world looking for various mad creatures,” Rowling said. “She’s a naturalist, whatever the wizarding equivalent of that is.”

Luna comes to see the truth about her father, eventually acknowledging there are some creatures that don’t exist.

“But I do think that she’s so open-minded and just an incredible person that she probably would be uncovering things that no one’s ever seen before,” Rowling said.

I wanted to know about Ginny as well! I was like...yes, you've said about Ron, Harry, Hermione and Luna...what about Ginny??

I'm sure she'll get asked the question in interviews to come, though. I hope anyway!

i think the careers fit each of them pretty well

Ginny played Quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies before becoming a Quidditch columnist! I love this career for her!

I'm guessing that he went there after school and became an auror later. JKR did definitely say Harry and Ron were revolutionising the auror department in the interview from the other day, so I would think that perhaps, like Ginny, he had two careers.

Wait, Ginny was a Holyhead Harpie, what was her other career?

After she finished Quidditch she became a senior Quidditch correspondant for the Daily Prophet.

Oh yeah... my bad, so much new information in such a short time... ahhh! I'm rereading...

I love Luna.... so sad she had to come to face that fact that some of those wierd creatures juust arent real... lol

Some weird creatures aren't actually real, no, but Luna will probably find new creatures that noone can see but her. xD

I do hope she continues the way she is forever. :D
