Character Number

Every word can be deduced to a number using Arithmancy. So for this lesson...I want you to calculate your character number using your HE user name. This number indicates the general personality type of the individual. Then I want you to make a list of 15-20 other members and calculate their character numbers as well. Make a list of those with your same character number. These are the people you are supposed to have a "hidden kinship" with. Write atleast 100 words telling us if you believe this to be true based on the other members with who you matched. This class will be worth 100 points.

I’d like to believe I have a hidden kinship with Elfie, Cris, Etta and Aliza. We all get along really well I think and I know I trust all of them a lot. I do really think of them as sisters and admire them quite a bit. I really haven’t had any arguments or issues with any of them and we do get a long pretty well as far as I think. I don’t have any issues with any of them and I love talking to all of them. I feel like I can trust them, so I think for the most part that it’s true that we all have a hidden kinship.

Well, the only person that has the same character number ‘7’ as me is irishsweety7411 - which is one of my fellow hufflepuff, but I do not think there is much 'hidden kinship' between us. Not that I do not like irish, but we have only ‘talked’ a few times in the hufflepuff common room and that is about it. And glancing at the list made by the people who already finished this assignment, I found there is only one other person that has the character number seven; so I guess maybe the lucky number seven people are special. For the most part, right now I do not think I believe in ‘hidden kinship’ much, but hey, maybe we will become friends later on.

Just Ginny and MarieC are definitely stable Huffies and work very hard to make our house successful! It is very obvious to me how down to earth they are because of how they act in our common room. As the character number, 4 defines their personality, and both have been dedicated members to HE for a VERY long time. Because of the fact that they both are in Hufflepuff, a "hidden kinship" per se truly does exist because we can hide what we say to each other, to a certain extent, from those students in other houses. Although I love all of Huffies equally, Arithmancy does not lie, and I feel much admiration for Just Ginny and MarieC.

Well this is cool...I think the reason that Fated4hp, Romancelover, Elana and I all have the number 6 is because we're fun loving people. I'm not suprised at all of me and lana cuz we were born on the same day *huggles her quinty* Jessica and I kind of suprises me because we've never really been nice to each other, but I guess our kindship is from fighting all the time. Jesse and me well, he is my grandfather so I guess thats a hiddenkindship but we haven't really talked alot ever, so maybe it's a sign that we could be good friends if we got to know each other more.

I don’t know Samantha that well yet, because she’s recently joined, but from what I’ve seen, I think she’s pretty cool and since we’re both in Gryffindor, I’ve noticed that she’s done a lot of classes. It's not a secret that little cutie pie Muff and I are tight - tighty righty! ^^ We're both stubborn, hyper most of the time, amazing imagination, good taste in guys (Johnny Depp, for example), clever minds MWAHAHAAAA, annnnnnd... we're just simply cool like that. Hey, did you all know that Muffie has some real Swedish blood in her? I speak Swedish, so that makes us like... almost relatives, right? :D We have our awesome inside jokes, and she's actually a Gryffie - deep, deep, deep inside! What We Have In Common!

Kendra, Marie, Erin, and I (four girls who share the traits common in the Character Number 4!) clearly show a hidden kinship with each other (and Marie IS my grandma…so we have a real kinship too XD). We are very stable and firm, like the table described in the above quote. Hufflepuffs are always there for each other-we are all in Hufflepuff as well-and can stand there ground, despite being thought of as a ‘lame’ House. “Unafraid of toil” and “Enjoy hard work”-yep, that’s us. Hufflepuffs go crazy for anything that gains housepoints in particular. At last count (and I haven’t been submitting homeworks in the lists) I had done 24 homeworks (and at least four since then) and Marie had done 12-not counting all of the amazing graphics she has made for challenges. We can be practical as well, and sometimes overly practical. I don’t mean to speak for everyone…but yes, I sometimes have been thus. We are very reliable, and always make sure to support our house. I wouldn’t agree with down to earth so much, though. We Badgers have a crazy gene….The same for logic and reason, the craziness likes flights of fancy. Doesn’t our Head of House have David Tennant in a cage somewhere? We are very good at organizing, you can tell by simply looking in our house common room. (Yes, I know most of you can’t but….hey now you can’t steal our ideas! Mwahaha!) I suppose we can be predictable in the sense that Hufflepuffs are constantly gaining and losing members. And we DO stubbornly stick to our guns…and can go off on a person if we’re provoked enough. Oh well, you still love us all anyways, right? :D

Well lets be honest here. I’m totally and completely physced to have the same character number as Raistlin and Violet! People represented bu the number nine strive for success in everything they set there minds to. Which is obviously suitable for the three of us. They generally commit most of there time to services such as humanitarians, teachers and scientists. So I don’t really think that it’s a coincedience that we all have 9 as our character numbers.
