MATHS : Class 2 : Bargain Hunt

This simple game will test
your knowledge and guesses of what you think are the most expensive
items to make yourself the most money.

What you have to do?
Simply
choose 6 items from the list of items below which you believe will make
you the most money. At the end of this class, you will be told how much
money each item was worth and will get the points relevent to how much
you earnt. The top 5 bargain hunters will also get extra points.
(note: These are actual prices these items are sold for)




Extra Credit:
Do some research on 2 of your chosen items and describe what you believe they might be. Include aspects such as make, usage, year of prodution etc etc

Item 13--Vintage Barbie Doll. I believe this to be the Twist and Turn Stacey (friend of barbie) by Mattel. Issued in 1967, and seems to be in very good condition. If it is what I believe it is, then it is made of vinyl with a twist and turn waist (hence the name), rooted eyelashes and bendable knees. Hair color is 'copper penny'. Height is 11 1/2". Highly collectible.

Item 18--Rubber Pinocchio. I am pretty sure this is an original Disney Pinocchio doll from the late 30's or early 40's. Perhaps 1939? Made of rubber resin, with movable arms and seems to be in very good condition. Height is 10". Very collectible and so cute!

A 19th Century Victorian Gilt antique oval mirror.



The mirror frame is in excellent conditions and is in gilded Victorian style. The glass mirror is intact and is still the original one! The back is in wood. The framed mirror measures 20 inches tall and 12 inches wide. Made around 1880 in England this mirror was thought for wealth English people. Nowadays this beautiful mirror would be a perfect gift for someone interested in antiques and wide a house decorated in a more rustic style.


Japanese Imari Pig

This is a very rare item as Imari Porcelain was majorly pots and vessels. The pig has an astonishing 10 inches wide, making it quite heavy. The color and patterns are clearly Imari style, iron red and blue and white. Extremely well preserved this item is a delicacy for European collector’s!
