Meet Slytherin

Welcome everyone. Slytherin always kept a tradition of distancing themselves from others. Always we've been looked suspiciously. Many secrets we hold and many we will keep, though now comes a one upon a lifetime to knew and understand Slytherin a little better.

Here you'll get a chance to know a little of Slytherin history both in the HP world and here in HE our world. We'll try to give you a better look and understanding on us.

However don't expect us to go soft just because of this, the respect and fear we earned shall be kept as not all will be reveiled just a bit to show you how great this us was, is and always will be! Now do you dare to corss our dark twisted gates of knolwedge?

SALAZAR SLYTHERIN

Salazar Slytherin was One of the four celebrated Founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Salazar Slytherin was one of the first recorded Parselmouths, an accomplished Legilimens, and a notorious champion of pureblood supremacy."

Salazar Slytherin carefully selected members to his House. The qualities which Slytherin prized in his "handpicked students" included resourcefulness, determination, and a certain disregard for the rules, along with the ability to speak parseltongue. He also selected his students according to cunning, ambition, and blood purity.

Salazar was the founder of the Chamber of Secrets a breach between Slytherin and the other founders. He wished after a time to be more selective in admissions to Hogwarts he wanted magical learning restricted to all-magical families, he believed Muggle-born students to be untrustworthy, and he disliked teaching such students.

Salazar was responsible for the construction beneath the school of the Chamber of Secrets, the home of a magically created basilisk. This snake was known by Slytherin to be susceptible to control by his parselmouth descendants, and thus left it there to purge the school of all Muggle-borns. This occurred shortly before the conflict between the four founders and Houses broke out and caused Slytherin's departure.

His statue in the Chamber of Secrets depicts a man "ancient and monkey-like, with a long thin beard that fell almost to the bottom of his sweeping robes."

SLYTHERIN HOUSE

Like Salazar Slytherin, its founder, Slytherin house values ambition, cunning, resourcefulness, and pure blood heritage. Most Slytherin students display a high level of Machiavellianism. The hunger for power is a characteristic of Slytherins. The animal representing Slytherin is the serpent, and the house's colours are green and silver. The Bloody Baron is the house ghost.

The Slytherin dormitories and common room are reached through a bare stone wall in the dungeons. The Slytherin common room is a long, low, dungeon-style room, located under the Hogwarts lake and furnished with green lamps and chairs.

Slytherin House seems to have produced more evil wizards than any other house, including the Dark Lord Voldemort, the Malfoys, Bellatrix Black Lestrange, Avery, and Wilkes. However Slytherin itself is not evil and does have some positive qualities such as ambition, cunning, and determination. There are some good Slytherins such as Horace Slughorn, Phineas Nigellus Black, Regulus Black, and Severus Snape. (Keep in mind this depends on the viewers perspective)

Contrary to the wishes of the other founders, Salazar Slytherin wanted a stricter policy of admittance—one limited to pure-blood students. The controversy this created apparently led to Salazar leaving the school and the Chamber of Secrets behind. A millennium later, the house's students are still considered affiliated with Salazar's reputed views although some half-bloods, most notably Voldemort and Snape, have been in Slytherin. Most of the dark wizards were in Slytherin, its dark reputation, however, does linger untill today. Can we say it is a bad thing?

HE

As far as HE is concerned Slytherin is one of the most influential and strong Houses.

With two Cups under our belt we’re the only House to hold to different Cups, one for Quidditch and the other for the House Cup!

In almost everything there’s a Slytherin in the final top and we never finish last.

Slytherin members are ones of the most charismatic around and they do all and everything they can to achieve their goals!

Surprises are also a big characteristic of Slytherin House when others think we’re finish and we can’t get up anymore we rise and shine!

For all of that Slytherin will continue to be a force to be feared and reckon and never underestimate us you might regret deeply after!

With That we finish Slytherin's presentation I hope you enjoyed and understood the unique oportunity we gave you.

Now we close our doors to you and return to our own affairs.
