CHILD DEVELOPMENT : Class 2 : Flour Babies (part 1)

Many of you may have either read the flour babies book (by Anne Fine I believe) or even participated in a flour babies task at school, or maybe seen it on television. Now it is time to do our own Schools Out version!

This class will be split into 4 parts, the points being split as follows;

Task 1 : 200 (Extra 200 on completion of the 5 days with your baby on your sig)
Task 2: 200
Task 3: 200
Task 4: 200

Part 1 Instructions

Choose one of the following;

Flour bag
Hard boiled egg
Rice/grain bag
Potato

You
must find a image of the one you choose and turn it into a 'baby' by
dressing it and giving it features etc. You must then decide on a name
for your 'baby'.

Post your personalised picture as babies
first picture in this thread along with the name you have chosen and a
short biography, including such information as name, parent/s names,
likes/dislikes etc etc...

You MUST then put the image of your
'baby' within your avatar or signature and MUST keep it there this task closes. If you are found not to have your baby on
your avi or signature, then it will be deemed that you have lost your
baby and/or are not caring for them properly and you will not be awarded the extra 200 points.

Lilliana Nicole is the baby girl of Sarah Rose and Hunter Michael Dugan. They live in New Jersey and have a happy home. "Lily" is of the egg variety and her worst fear is being cracked open. She loves rolling down hills with her friends and older sister Aliya Grace. Whenever she has down time she enjoys reading and painting her toe-nails. Her friends refer to her as a motor-mouth becasue she always has something new to say, even if it is extremely random!

(P.S. I did this project in 5th grade, and it was really cool excpet for my partner dropped my egg down the stairs. XD!)

Edna loves to sit in the sun in the garden, and play with her teddy bear. She also adores rolling over, though she must be closely supervised as her head is of course fragile, like with all babies.

Our little baby is a baldy! She has the most gorgeous blue eyes, though. Edna likes getting dressed up, but she will wail if her clothes are scratchy or uncomfortable. She smiles when she is hugged and will return kisses when given.

She likes sweet potatoes, pretzels and applesauce, but if you really want her to be your best friend, give her a lollipop. Edna likes the red ones best!

Bella is now 13 months old and has short brown hair. Her favorite color is greeny blue and we have found that unless the things she gets are that color she will trow a temper tantrum. Bella is very prone to doing this. Her father Ved and I are not yet married but this does not stop us. He works very hard and helps to look after her with me.

Baby Bubba Leone Dumbledore-Marchbanks!!

Bubba was born after many hours of intensive labor to his birth mother Rita Chickie. His father, Roy Redneck, was falsey imprisoned and on his way to the hen house. Rita Chickie contacted Rigby Dumbledore and her husband Rufus Marchbanks, who were anxious to adopt. So, just one day old, Bubba Leone came home with the Dumbledore-Marchbanks family.

It was clear from day one that little Bubba was no ordinary baby! A fussy eater from the beginning, Bubba instead opted to spend as much time as he could in the bathtub. Unlike most babies, he prefers practically boiling water and his skin never wrinkles. His parents recently bought him a hot tub to celebrate his 5 month birthday, and Bubba couldn't have been more excited!

Development wise, Bubba is right on track, although he isn't crawling he rolls over constantly. Baby gates and plush carpeting have helped a lot to keep baby Bubba safe. He even has a little helmet he wears when riding on the back of Rufus' bike! Bubba is also a stylish little tyke, and will cry if mom Rigby tries to dress him in miss matched clothes, or clothes that don't flatter his delicate coloring. His favorite colors are Ravenclaw blue and Hufflepuff yellow, but he prefers basic black for a night out on the town. Soon to be six months old, this is one tot to watch out for!

Baby Al Potato Head
(thank goodness Alex wasnt ugly like Al!!)

Parents: Mrs Star Potato Head and Mr Jay Potato Head

Baby Al came into the world shortly after Jay, his father, won millions on the lottery. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and a tuft of reddy brown hair. The midwifes fainted at the sight of his, um, face!

Baby Al enjoys television, though hates cooking programmes, and likes to spend time playing in the garden in the mud.

Baby Al can't yet walk, but has learnt to roll over with some help. He has already grown one single tooth and has learnt to say 'Chips'

Other: Greta Lina was born at April 1st. She was born three months too early, and was therefor not fully... erm, developed. But she is loved nontheless! She has 1% Swedish blood in her (note blonde hair) because her mother (Carola) happens to have a sister (Hannah-Cecilia aka Cill) there. Greta Lina visits her aunt a lot with her mother.

Greta Lina is a very talented ballet dancer. Also, she's a very cook, too. She's probably the youngest cook ever, but she hates hot water. It makes her mushy.

Greta Lina cannot walk, but she can run, which is why she is kept in a leash since she can't slow down. That, or then you just let her run against a wall... it happens occassinally.

Greta Lina can spell 'Paraskavedekatriaphobia' backwards, and can say 'Diu'. 'Diu' is her favourite word.

Isi was born on a early spring day after her mother: Mrs. Protata heaved for thirty minutes in labor. Isi was born as a regular potato. Fairly normal for her race - The Pikpota. Light brown skin and may develop color stripes of dots as they mature. Now little Isi is a bit over 1 years old and is begining to develop her colors- Purple and Yellow.

Isi is starting to talk as her first word was 'Yamsy' which is her best friend and playmate - her cousin who comes over to the Protata's house hold very often. Isi's hobby is to play building blocks with her friend and likes to nap a lot. She is a fussy eater and likes to eat mushy things.

She may be going to Browny Day Care next year as her mommy has to sadly start her work at the Museum of Natural Veggies

Baby Eggie came into the world along with his triplets, Scramble and Poach, though they unfortunatly died during a cooking accident. His parents now keep a very close eye on him.

He enjoys cooking, though is a complete vegan and won't touch eggs! He is short sighted and already needs to wear glasses.

He used to talk though after his siblings untimly deaths, he has not spoken a word.

Eggie can roll over on his own though has trouble walking as of yet.

Even though his dad last name is Longbottom, Luna decided that he should instead of her last name because she liked that name better. He is very outgoing and likes to be around everyone. During the last five minutes that I have spent with him I have learned that he likes to be held all of the time. He does not like to be near a stove. He says that they scare him. Even though he is only like 2 minutes old he is extremly smart and has already learned how to talk!!!! lol

Baby Frick/Frack was the child born of Sandy and Feather Brown. So far Baby Frick sleeps all day long and is awake all night long. His parents are tired and exhaustedly need sleep.

The only thing that Baby Frick and do is drool, spit up, and pull hair. A few times his parents have seem him roll a bit, but nothing so far as crawling.

Fricks favorite toy is a dog shaped stuffed animal. This toy was a gift from his grandparents during the excited delivery.

Whiny was adopted my Mr and Mrs Smith!

Born from a broken home, some serious misstreatment when born Bab Whiny lost his left ear and can't stop crying since then.

His favorite thing to do? Cry!

What he does all day? Cry!

The couple Smith is the 4th to adopt this only 6 month baby, and will probably not be the last!

Baby whiny cries to eat, cries if anyone gets near him, cries to sleep, cries for everything!

CHILD DEVELOPMENT : Class 2 : Flour Babies (part 1) Eggbaby

Baby Bart was brought into this world on September 23rd 2007 at around 4.30am. He is the child of one Barbara and Peter Grogan, who are both professional cluckers.

Baby Bart found his birth quite traumatic, and so since arriving has looked in a constant state of shock. His mouth constantly hangs open, through which one lonesome large tooth can be seen. Why he was born with this tooth we may never know.
He also has a full head of blonde hair, which, due to his constant state of shock, is to be found always on end. One lonesome curl hangs down over his forehead.

Being an only child Bart is willing his folks not to have more children - he feels the thought of another birth may never rid him of his 'in-shock' state.

Although quite young, Bart has found himself drawn to the dark side and even now is considering dying his hair black and becoming a Hell's Angel. His favourite toy is a beautiful collecters teddy bear and a shaving foam Ken doll. His favourite food is Knorr's Sizzle and Stir, Tikka Masala. He likes hot things !

His dislikes include bright colours, fungus, chewy sweets and frying pans.

This handsome little man was born on a lovely fall day in September. He's quite a charmer with big blue eyes, a few black, curly locks and the sweetest smile. He seems to enjoy voicing his opinion of things through wails and cries in all hours of the night, unless he has his special pacifier.

He's intelligent for his tender age, and likes to make people laugh and coo along with him.

Shermantato loves to reach for shiny things and often laughs at his baby mobile. All in all he is a typical baby who spits up, poops in his diaper-he goes through 6-8 a day- and gurgles. He isn't into toys yet but he does love his soft blue blanket that he always sleeps with.

Helen just had little Anna. She has green eyes like her mother and egg completion like her father. She is one day going to be a very young girl.

She was born with no hair ,but in the next few months she might start to get brown hair like her mother and father.

So far Anna is showing some musical interest. She sings when we got her up this morning. Before long she might just start dancing to. She seems to be a little girl girl ,with that pink bow on her head ,but that might change.

Baby Tenny loves her mummy and daddy. She is the love child of myself and a very famous actor who shall remain unnamed. She is 2 months old and is a very active baby. She loves her play dates with her best buddy Bubba. She likes her stroller and going on walks. She doesn't like to eat her spinach. She spits it out. She laughs and plays all day long and takes nice long naps, and always wakes up refreshed and happy.

Talon is only a month old and is already showing great talent and intelligence, perhaps because of his abnormally large head. He is already a featured strained peas artist in Baby Art Monthly and is beginning to show signs of speech. He is otherwise a fairly normal baby except for his great love of techno music. When upset, techno music is the only thing that will calm him.

Ruby, though less than a month old, has already developed a charming personality. The girl is always either smiling and cooing, and is captivated by anything new. She's not a full-time cryer, but, of course, she has her moments. Ruby loves playing with stuffies, especially her bunny rabbit, listening to clasical music (supposedly good for babies?), and listening to stories. Rachel and Robby, first time parents, are delighted in having brought such a darling child into the world.

Part 1 of this class has now closed. Dont forget there are three other parts to this class each with housepoints to offer!

Anyone who didnt complete part 1 can still take part in the other parts if they would like.
