| Extra Credit 2 (Description): This work of art displays two sides of my personality, one which can be harsh, cynical and critical and another which can be gentle and almost apathetic. The many eyes are because I feel uncomfortable when people watch and judge my every move, and also because I'm quite observant with my eyes. The abstract shapes are basic, though vibrantly colored, because though I prefer the quiet life, I am never bored. Extra Credit 1 (HE): Extra Credit 2 (Description): Well of course the purple hippo is the central focus of this masterpiece. Surrounding the hippo are the colors and initials of the four Hogwarts houses. Smiling mouths are scattered throughout because I believe HE is a place where people come to socialize and the atmosphere is very cheerful at HE. And above all, yet not in any way obstructing the general message, are the letters HE themselves, because I wanted to show that by now HE has a life of its own, beyond Harry Potter and intermingled with the purple hippo. | |

| http://www.mrpicassohead.com/canvas.html?id=ff002a4&skin=originalMy Picasso Head represents me because it is simple. I think I am very simple beacus ei odn't need a lot of things to make me happy. If you just give me Harry Potter, some peanut butter, and my iPod i could survive for a very long time. My picture is quiet and while I am really outgoing, I think that I show a quiet side of me here, and to authroity figures. | |

| This is a simple enough image - it just makes no sense if you're not me ! Haha ! Erm, anyhoo, the central image is meant to be me I guess. The eyes are placed seperately from the face because they have numerous meanings. On the face, the only visable thing are the lips - and they are huge. Not because my lips are huge (because they're not), more because it represents my love of acting and speech. This is also represented by the, what is meant to be, stage behind 'me.' Or, that I am standing upon. I adore acting and it's a huge part of me, moreso now that I've started back at Uni again. The dramatic side of me is shown by the arms - outstretched, open and wide ! On the face, the ears are seen on either side. They are pictured as being small because I'm deaf in my left ear. The eyes shown in the image represent the fact that people are always watching me, due to my being onstage. The way in which the eyes are positioned is to represent my eye twitches- yes I have really bad eye twitches. The funny thing is, they stop as soon as I'm onstage. I have no idea why. The green item is to represent my dark side - I do have one. And I generally prefer dark colours to bright. I'm not a fan of bright at all. It also represents the various costumes I wear while performing. The three black spots at the bottom represent an audience - and how I feel I'm always being judged and whatnot. | |

| http://mymail5.cableone.net/parse.pl?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mrpicassohead.com%2Fcanvas.html%3Fid%3Da90c60e%26skin%3DoriginalThe face represents the fact that my eyes are closed and not open to the future right now because I do not know what is to happen. The colors are my emotions over the last two weeks. The blues are sadness , yellow happiness in the sadness, green sick, and purple content. My grandfather is dying of Cancer so that is why the sadness is there.
The open eye represents what you see right now. The three sets of lines in front of the eye represent how big the object in the future gets as you get closer to it in time. You can only see a little and reason a little when you cant see the end of the problem ,but once the time comes for that thing to happen or problem to be fixed you can see enough to reason it out.
Finally at the bottom the two colored shapes represent the problem and how big it seams now and how it will seem in the future. The black shape in the middle represents the winds of change and the getting to the small shape.

| Part OneI wasn't sure what I was going to do for part one, I started off not wanting to do a person, but after playing with the shapes this is what emerged. I like the image of a woman standing in the rain, dressed up and carrying a cute, but useless umbrella. I wanted the rain to give the illusion of wind, which is why it is slanted. I personally love to take walks in the rain, but this picture is of a woman battling the elements, instead of blending into them. It represents my own battle right now with all the changes that have occured in the past few months. I wish that I could handle them with grace and style, but too often I feel caught up in a storm of emotions. Part Two My attempt at representing the 4 houses of HE.... and I want to apoligize to Hufflepuff house, because the badger looks like..well, it doesn't look like a badger, does it? But that's what it's supposed to be. You're supposed to be able to tell because of the white stripes on the face. The crossing broomsticks represent a lot of aspects to HE, one being witches and wizards, two being Quidditch, but also showing that underneath it all the four house are united. The pink heart shape is to signify my love for this site, although, I must admit that it turned out looking more like lips. XD | |

The many colors express my interest in different things. The round shapes show my open mind and acceptance of new things. The sharp edged shapes shows my fears and worries. Overall I like to think that I have balance in my life.

| (the picture on the left is the one for me, and the next is for the HE)
My Picasso picture is of what I'm doing now, basically. The head on the bottom left is me, and I'm being distracted by a book (orange), HE (grey wand) and my viola (purple). I did not have a good day, so that's why the thought cloud is a darker color (symbolizing my darker mood) and the things inside are distracting me from facing the reality that I must do my pile of homework...*sigh* But I know that I must get to it and am chiding myself at putting it off, and that's what the eye on the upper right symbolizes.
For the HE picture, I chose to attempt to make the symbols for each house along with the HE hippo- the badger for Hufflepuff, raven for Ravenclaw, lion for Gryffindor, and snake for Slytherin (from upper left to bottom right). As you very well know, we have an immense ammount of house pride here, hehe. The pink heart next to HE says how much we love it here XD
