I just read So_Yuns idea on having a featured story. There are a few of us who don't post our stories at HPFF and I'm with the chief on saying that Jay may not care for the idea.

What if we just had a featured member? Have their stories put somewhere and then if folks are interested they could check them out? I don't know really, it's just a thought since that other idea probably wouldn't work. This one probably wouldn't either, but ... anyway.

I think what we're all getting at with these posts is that while we're all wonderful Howarts students we want to promote our writing as well. As most of you know I'm in the process of creating a fanfiction site myself - Elffie and other's are jumping on the bandwagon for this one. I'm going to treat it almost like a monopoly so to speak - Howgwarts Experience will have full access as the only school I'll connect with - promoting rights etc...because as you all know I'M a Head of House - so of course I want to help out. When it's up I'll allow featured stories and awards - etc.

But for the mean time majority of us are authors - we could always have category awards and we can nominate peoples stories by linking them - and then vote on it once you've read it - therefore we would need no involvement with any one specific site.

I will have to discuss this further with the mods, but we could always put one featured story within the newspaper if there is room. I am not sure if it will work or not yet, but maybe!
