It looks soooo awesomely great! Alan Rickman, Helena Bohnam Carter, and of course... Johnny Depp! And he SINGS! Oh and there's Anthony Head too *squee* though I'm not sure he's of much importance in the movie really. Maybe he is but oh well XD

I can't wait til it comes out! Yet another reason to look forward to Christmas

lol I didn't say the movie was PG, I said the trailer was XD because if it hadn't been I couldn't have put it up here. The movie, I think, is rated PG 13 because of a few scenes with blood and stuff.

I don't think it's gonna be quite as gore this time. If it'd be directed by Quentin Tarantino or someone like that, maybe XD but Tim Burton? He's more about the darkness of the story in itself than the gore stuff.

I didn't even know this was going to be a film. I am so out of it...it feels like I'm living on Mars, not in France

Anyway, I remember watching this when they did it on ITV a while back...I think Ray Winstone played Sweeney Todd.

And is this the story when he kills his barber shop customers, cuts them up and sells them as meat for someone's pies?

I can't wait to see this movie!! I've been waiting for it to come out for what seems like forever. Originally I was going to see it just because of Johnny Depp -Squee! But I've found my self watching more and more movies with Alan Rickman in them lately. And I've always loved Helena Bohnam Carter, ever since fight club I've been a huge fan of hers.

I saw it the Sunday after it came out here *is surprised didnt post here sooner lol* I personally loved it. I saw it with my mum and I was rolling. She of course kept telling me to shut up. It is a dark comedy with lots of blood...odd enough I laughed through most of the blood scenes XD Anyways we loved it and got the soundtrack right after hehe. And I have seen the original and there are differences but I think they did a decent job. Voices go better together in the movie...oh and I love Johanna's voice so much better. In the broadway it was too...idk Opera-y XD

Well I found the original comical as well. They are both Dark Comedies really. I mean the song 'Little Priest'...it always cracks me up. Though the Broadway version is more comical for that particular song.

The main differences I saw was that it focused more on Sweeney and Lovett instead of having Anthony and Johanna with as big a part, even though they do have a big part...its just a bit less *doesnt know how to explain things* Also Johnny's Sweeney isnt as angry revengeful as the Broadway version. He is more quite and scares me more XD Cause come on...quieter people are scarier. I personally loved it and yeah. Another big fan of the Broadway was pretty happy with it so maybe you will be too.

Oh and yes some songs aren't in it, but it is still good. Possibly the best Tim Burton/Johnny Depp film since Edward Scissorhands.

I saw this in theaters around New Years and I know on it on DVD. It was so amazing, I thought I'd hate it but it was really good

I love it. I got the dvd and i watched 5 times in a row. I have the songs stuck in my head. My fav song is when the judge runs out and the sweeney yells at the boy. I cant spell it. lol. I watched the first one made....I think it was. from 1982 on youtube and it was good. they just couldnt sing.

I just finished watchig it again like 5 minutes ago, I love all the songs, the singing is so good. Did you know that Johnny Depp originally went to Hollywood to sing? My best friend told me that thos past weekend

i liked this movie but as silverlady said the blood looked like red sauce lol
too unrealistic and the ending was reall unpredictible, after a while i thought that the little strret woman had something to do with the story but i never expected it to be his wife

Unpredictable? I thought it was a bit predictable lol. Of course I kind of realized the similar bone structure to the beggar woman and the wife...so maybe I am weird like that lol
