Greetings everyone.

After HE Celebrities’ survivor I’m now working on something else to increase your fun, the HE DJ!

What is that you ask? I will explain then.

All of us have songs we love from artists we love, songs that were never released as singles. What I mean with that is for example let’s take Britney Spears and the album ‘In The Zone’. For that album as songs were released ‘Me Against the Music’, ‘Toxic’, ‘Everytime’ and ‘Outrageous’. These songs could not be used in the HE DJ, however other songs in that album like ‘Breathe On Me’ and ‘Brave New Girl’ since were not released singles could perfectly be used in the HE DJ. If you’re brave enough you can send your own original recorded songs! (this is only an option YOU DON'T HAVE TO SING!)

Now how would it work? You’d have one week to send me the song you wanted to go up for a vote( you need to have the song so you can send it to me by email). Then I’d post all the songs (bits or the full song is not decided yet) anonymously you wouldn’t know who sent the song and from who the artist the song belonged too (this is to try make the vote as fair as possible as it’s the songs that are being judged and not the singers).

When the songs are posted you will rate the songs from 1 to XXX (this will be according to the amount of songs in play) being the XXX the one you liked the most and 1 the one you liked the least. Participants will be able to vote though they will have to pm the votes and rate their song as 1! All others will post their ratings in the thread. The person with the lowest rate number will get out and others continue for another week sending me a new song.

When the vote is closed the name and artists of the music’s will be revealed as well as the person who sent the songs.

Anyway, what if a song was released as a single in one country but not another? Like, say if a song was released as a single in America but not here. Or vice versa. What then?

I will check every song if they were realeased even if that means in just one country. So the must not have been a released single anywhere specially when it's US versus the world. I'm here to explain so no need to be confused.

Okay here's a question. Would you like for every round to be free choice that is you choose what kind of song you send. Or would you like to have categories for each round? So the sounds dont change much and will actually make things interesting as you'll have to look for a song that fits that categorie.

I think we should have categories because most people like R&B or hiphop or whatever, if there is categories it'll keep people from voting all the same type of music each time XD

Yeah, I think categories would be the best. However, it would be nice if you could give us exampels since categories vary greatly. Like of singles that were released within the category...

Umm...I assume you'll be taking care of swearwords in songs? Like you'll cut them out or whatever? Cuz now that I'm keeping an eye out, I'm realizing a LOT of songs have swearwords in them... xD

As much as i like the idea of categories, you need to remember that not every country has certain music categories. Like here we don't have Country musicans or a country so it may be rather unfair for the rest of th world verus america when it comes to music categories, also there may be arguments over which bands fit where in what categories. For example, people claim My chemical Romance is an Emo band, simply because of the Black Parade Album and its theme of the solider and death....but if thats what defines a band as emo, surely a band like Metalica who *will ask John for the song name later if i must* sing of death should not be defined as a Rock/metal band, they also should be Emo...Do you see my point? I doubt we could agree on a category for some bands.

The categories will be general so it can fit to anyone's taste.

Let's take Etta's rock/emo example. Nowadays it's almost impossible to find an artist that sticks to just one type of music. So for example MCR would be allowed to participate in both emo and the rock category. I will not be very strick on this, is just more of guidelines to keep the songs more or less in the same mood/vibe.[/b

] [b]Of course country will not be a category to be done as Etta said is an exclusive Us type. Remember my categories will be broaden and will give you enough space to choose. With that said i think the categories are aproven then?

Responding to elucidation. If it is an unknown artist even with no released singles yes you can use musics from them.

So basically, if a song was released ANYWHERE then we can't use it? That sucks.

...And I'm not sure about the categories idea. Because what if you never, ever listen to a type of music so you barely know actual singles, let alone unreleased songs. What then?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean byt that so I will not comment now.

Categories like pop and rock will only be used in more an advanced stage of the contest. There will be several Free choice rounds and in the first ones it will be categories like songs that make you cry, or laugh, or a band song, a male solo song...

And I must remember this is a contest to find the real the Dj the one that can please the crowd and therefore has a good music knowledge, so it's only normal it gets difficult as people are eliminated.
