Welcome to The Hogwarts Experience Book of Records.

Most of you have probably heard of the Guinness book of records, (Or the Guinness World Records as it is now called). If not, you can read what it is all about here:

The Hogwarts Experience is now opening its doors to its very own book of records, from the usual to the unusual.

There will be two types of records which anyone can have a chance at breaking at any time whilst the records are open. These are;

1. Staff setrecords : These records will be set up by Elfie Dumbledore or Duck the Duck and will cover basic site records, for example; Top number of posts in a week.

and

2. Member set records : Any member can set a record for anyone to attempt to break. These records MUST be able to be proved on the site. For example, you can not set a record for the fastest runner of the 5 mile race as there is no real way of proving this on the site. You could choose, for example, the longest potato peal (by taking a photo by a ruler and uploading it) or a record which could be proven in the chat box in front of witnesses and/or print screen, for eample, saying the word hippo in proper sentances in a minute.

All records will be updated by admin and moderators and can be broken at any time whilst the posts are open for that particular challenge.

At the end of each HE month (or year depending upon discussions) points will be given for record breakers.

We urge members to be creative in setting challenges to break the record for.

Elfie and Amy reserve the right to close any challenges they deem unfit for the forum

How to set up a challenge post

You have had an idea of a challenge which you believe members of HE could compete against one another to become the record holder so what do you do next?

Open a new post and title it with the challenge title only.

Within the post, you must give clear instructions of what the challenge is all about. You must remember that all challenges need to be able to have a record set which is easily proven on the site.

Please do not submit your entry for the challenge in the first post. Use this post only for instructions and post your entry following that. You do not need to enter in for that challenge if you set it, it is up to you.

Once this post is up, please visit the post entitled: REPORT HERE IF YOU HAVE ADDED A NEW CHALLENGE!

Please add the title of the challenge and the link to the post so it can be updated
