Fanfiction or graphics?

graphics - although I'm not really good at them, at least I can.. finish a graphic. Whereas, fanfiction... I don't really write it at all, just had a go at it some months ago and didn't even finish, because I somehow got bored, had a block, suddenly started not liking what I had written up to that point, either.... blah. xD

Graphics.

Although I am possibly one of the worst graphic makers on the site I could sit and forever look at a graphic there so pretty and take forever to make and a certain amount of skill. Of course fanfiction also requires that but there is hardly any good fanfiction and I feel the orginal fiction is always better. I am hardly ever seen reading fan fction but in comparsion to that I take forever admiring peoples work upon the site. And I find myself wishing I could make graphics like other people. But I can never really be found saying I wish I could write fanfiction like them. I also feel that a graphic takes longer to make and more effort going in. And graphic are adding to the fandom not creating their own stories of it though stories can be told within the graphic.

I'm divided on this. On the one hand, I love fanfiction - both reading and writing. But I also love making graphics, and looking at everyone elses.

I disagree polly that making a graphic takes more time than a fic - I think the two are comparable.

So...I'm going to say I'm 50/50 here :D

I'm going with fan fiction, and not just because my graphics skills are less than tops, but because not only to I prefer writing, I prefer to read. I love doing the graphic challenges, but have only recently worked on any fan fictions. But I'm loving it!

Ok. Let's make this clear. I Don't and can't make graphics. However I love to look at them and really admire the people who can make some really spectacular art. I equally resepct fanfic but, I would much rather read the actual HP books than other people renditions on them.

half i think. i like reading fanfiction more than writing and i like fooling around with photoshop programs...but the result isn't all that good xD

Well, I can't do grpahics or write stories, so...... :D

But I like fanfictions very much.

And I think fanfiction takes more time than graphic - atleast what I've seen! My friend (Julia) she's an amazing graphic maker (she does most of my siggies hehe) and a writer, and she makes graphics like WEEEEEEEE, but writing? Well, she IS fast, but the thing is that stories take so much more time. It's so much planning, if you want the plotline to run smoothly, and to actually be sure with all the facts to each and every character etc...

And then the actual writing can take up to weeks or even months, years... if you have many writer's blocks on the way and so on.

It's harsh to be the best friend of a multi-artist xD

Since I have experienced with graphic designing. I'd so have to say graphics. I just love the fact that you are able to create masterpieces out of anything. Totally 100% imagination.

Hmm...

Well, I'm not very good at graphic making,
but I love to look at them,
especially if they are made real nice!

Although, I have say I like fanfiction more.
Only because it tells of stories
that people have dwelling inside their minds.

I also write fanfiction as well, so I guess it is a greater preference.

Graphics, I can finish. But I usually am more clueless with graphics than fanfiction.
