As your Arts prefect, one of my jobs is to create new classes! And so, without further ado...

For this class pick any of the HP movies (released or not):

Part One:

Create a graphic advertisement for the movie! This can be like a magazine ad, movie poster - whatever you want! There isn't a size limit, but be reasonable, and if it stretches the page post it as a thumbnail or link.

Points Possible: 50

Part Two:

Create a commercial for the movie! This can be done in many ways - you can make a video that would be seen on TV (if you can't make the actual video, you can write out what would happen in great detail instead), write out a dialogue for a radio ad - again, whatever you want!

Points Possible: 50

Total Points Possible: 100

“Let us step into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.” These are the words Albus Dumbledore tells to the now 16 year old Harry Potter as they embark on a journey into Voldemort’s past to give themselves an insight onto a new powerful Dark magical object known as the Horcruxes.

“And as if defeating the Dark Lord isn’t enough for Harry to worry about, he finds himself developing feelings for his best friend Ron Weasley’s younger sister Ginny. The problem? She’s dating his dormmate Dean Thomas. And Ron’s going to date someone….who? I’ll give you one hint: Hermione is not happy about it! And let’s not forget about all the teenage angst caused by those raging hormones!

“But what’s happened since our delicious I mean, talented, hero left off in the last movie installment? Well, as we all know, Voldemort is back and he is no wreaking havoc upon the Wizarding and Muggle worlds. A new Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour, has been appointed after Cornelius Fudge’s utter failure to alert the people to Voldemort’s return. People everywhere are now in mass panic.

And when I say “people” I don’t just mean those such as in the Order of the Phoenix. Voldemort’s followers are having problems all their own. Narcissa Malfoy, followed closely by her wonderfully sadistic and insane sister, Bellatrix, run to Severus Snape for help. It would seem as though Narcissa’s son, Draco-the boy whom everyone loves to hate-has been given a task that Narcissa is afraid he won’t be able to manage. An Unbreakable Vow is sworn, and Snape is bound, by pain of death, to help Draco as much as he can, and to ensure that he won’t fail. Does this, and his later strange behavior, mean Draco is a Death Eater? Harry certainly thinks so.

“Back at the school, there’s a new Professor in town. Horace Slughorn is his name, and he’s going to be the Professor of Potions, not of Defense Against the Dark Arts. Who’s that choice position going to? Severus Snape. Watch out Harry, your best subject just got a little bit more difficult. As for his previous worst class, Potions, Harry finds unexpected help from an old copy of a textbook, annotated by mysterious The Half-Blood Prince. Who is he? He doesn’t know, but we’re almost as eager as he is to find out.

“And don’t get too excited but…there’s going to be a battle. It’s going to be epic, and tragic, and the high point-or low point, depending whose side you’re on-will take place on the top of the Astronomy Tower.

“I’d love to detail the rest of the movie to you-really, I would, you’d be surprised at how I could go on about this!-but I think it’s just up to you to see it for yourself. Don’t worry, I haven’t left much to speculation. But what I will leave you with one last fantastic quote from none other than the great Albus Dumbledore yourself. I heed you to take great care, for it is “the unknown we fear when we look upon death and darkness, nothing more”. And we’ll be looking upon some death and darkness in this next book, I can assure you.”

Total Points Possible: 90, plus 10 for the one I think would be most effective!

This is a radio advert. First 3 are a mix of children of adults, last is adult.

First Voice: "Hey, did you hear about that new movie coming out?"

Second Voice: "No, which one?"

First Voice: "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince of course!"

Second Voice: "Oh that! Yeah! It is ment to be Fantastic!! Loads of action and Drama I heard!"
Third Voice: "Don't forget the comedy and romance! Its a film for all! ESECIALY Harry finding his feelings for a certain someone!"

Fourth Louder
Voice (not to
other voices): "Harry potter and the Half-blood Prince, You want comedy? You want action? You want drama? Do you want romance? Well whatever you want, its here. Harry potter is the most anticipated film of the year. You are guaranteed to love it."

All: " Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Coming soon to a cinema near you!"

Narrator- This year at Hogwarts, Harry, Ron, and Hermione are challenged even more the they were last year. As romance finds its way into the hearts of Ron and Harry, Voldemort is still on the rise.

Voldemort- “You know what you must do”

*that rushing noise they had in the 5th movie when Harry was dreaming and then that loud noise like something hit the walls*

Becky:”Thank you so much for telling us that the Order is awesome” *hangs up phone* “Now back to the movie the Half Blood Prince. Voldemort is back as we know and Harry must defeat him. That’s all we know about the movie”
Dave: “People know more than that. After all it is based on the books”
Becky: “Your right Dave we have run out of time. Enjoy this song played by Three Days Grace”
*music starts to play but it is a song by Papa Roach*

Scene cuts in with the battle scene from the Ministry of Magic and the newspaper cover letting the entire magical world know that Voldemort is indeed back.

Narrators Voice: Last year they struggled to prove he was back...

Cuts to scene of Fudge packing up and leaving his office for the last time, then you see a dark shadow enter the room behind him and close the door.

Narrators Voice: Now that the world nows he's back the real question is....

Cuts to a montage scene of Harry and Dumbledore hunting for the horcruxes in the cave - orphanage - the Gaunts home.

Narrators Voice: How do you kill a man who is already dead?

Cuts to scenes of Voldemort raising his army and the inferius in the cave scene.

Narrators Voice: The epic tale continues this fall with Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince. Where does your allegiance lie?

(Harry Potter theme music starts to play - and date of movie release flashes across the screen before theater goes black)
