Violet looked over the side, afraid."You cant push me over, I might not be much, but I am a queen and I do have complete control over a country. Without me, there will be war between our families." Violet said, wondering if the others had a good idea.

Emmalynn glanced over the edge of the basket. She turned to the rest of its occupants and gulped.

"Y'know, if we ever land somewhere, like an island or something, I would be the only one with the experience in building. I could build shelters, houses, things that would be essential to survive. I think I'm a pretty good asset here," she explained to the others.

Katie joined the others at the side of the basket. Maybe this trip wasn't such a good idea after all. They seemed to be falling pretty fast and she was definetly not jumping. After listening to all the other's arugemnts she was thinking that the Queen should go, anyone but her.

"Listen up! As a cook I can take almost anything and make it edible and tasty too! After a few days of being starnded up here you're going to wish you had food and thats where I come in. I can turn some of the things we do have into food so that we can survive until we see land again."

Katie was outrages at Ginny's response. "Well, Ginny, that's exactly th point. I could take some of the straw from this basket and make it into something edible. Same with the little possession we all do have." she finished.

Katie thought about what Raistlin had said. The did seem to have experience to carry them over and she wouldn't want to fight him in a hot air balloon. She would have to think more carefully about this.

Katie was releived after hearing Gemma speak. So relieved in fact that she didn't retort to Ginny. Instad, she focused the attention away from herself and onto the Queen.

"If we all have valid reasons for staying, I think the Queen should go. When are we going to need a Queen to keep us a float?"

Emmalynn, who had recovered from the shock of possibly being thrown off, nodded in agreement with Katie.

"We don't relly need a queen here. The rest of us have valid reasons for staying alive, but a queen, in my opinion, is dead wieght in this situation...." she said slowly.

Emmalynn considered that and sighed.

"Okay, you have a point Gemma. On both the queen and the mathmetician. I've always hated math anyway... Never found it useful at all," Emmalynn agreed.

Violet sat back, fearing her life."If I may say, and not get hurt, what do we need a cook for? I mean, we want reach food until we are saved. That maybe days." Violet said, hoping the cook wouldnt get mad."Thats just what i think. Seeing has i dont rule any of you all, I cant order none of you to do anything." And Violet walked back out of the group so they could decide

Violet nodded. "Well, do beleive we need a police officer because if we get into a fight, you can break it up. I dont think we need a midwife." Violet said.

Violet agreed. "We do use math. We might need it later on to find out where to land. I was right about the cook, but the treasur hunter maybe needed later on. What about if we landed and we need to find shelter, with his experince, he could find us somewhere to stay." Violet said

"Im postitive we will never need the Astrologer. What will the stars tell us. I think he shoudl go first." Violet said, knowing it sounded rude.

"As I was saying ealier about the math. What if we do get the chance to land on land? We would need someone to caculate where and how well should land and having someone who knows math good would know how to do this. Caculation and wit" Violet said.

Raistlin kept silently listening, watching others battle themselves for a ticket to stay in the ballon. Then he heard something that'd help him secure is position as an asset to everyone.

"If we do get to an unknown land, how many of you know how to hunt for food?"

He grinned and subtlety rubbed his thumb in one of the knifes he had around his belt.

"And why would we need you?" Violet siad, turning to Rai. "For all we know you could abonded us. And the cook said they could make food good. We have no stove or oven or fire to cook with and you simpley want to keep someone that can stuff cheese on a cracker?" Violet siad."Everyone uses math, rather you know it or not, and I say we should keep them for futher use."

Katie decided it would be better to stay out of the drama Violet was causing. Instead she decided it would be best to try and defend her and the other valuble people with reasoned arguments.

"If you think about it, Rai can get the food and I could cook it. But that's only if we find land of course." Katie said, "The more pressing issue at the moment is who is 'weighing' us down. In my opinion that would be the queen or midwife."

Violet raised an eyebrow."So you think a cook is more important then a queen? You have nothing to cook on and if you were gone, it wouldnt be news. Now with me dead, it would be. It would cause wars with who should be next in line, which countries they should trade with, and between your families for killing me." Violet said."And we have no need for a midwife. Whatever a midwife can do, a docotr can do." Violet added adn backed out.


(opps i got the astrologer confused with something else.)

"Im not." Violet said.

"Well i guess that means bye bye midwife?" Violet asked.

(umm should we just go ahead adn throw ppl who are not even defending therselves?)

June suddenly awoke from where she was dozing. "I'm not pregnant," she replied to the words she had heard as she had left the realm of sleep. "I don't think I should get pushed off," she continued, "because I'm a scientist. I might discover the cure for cancer in the future, or create the elixir of immortality, or something equally important." June shrugged, as if her reasons were obvious.

June smiled and laughed a little embarrassed. "True, very true." She turned to the others and said, "And I back Ginny. As a Doctor, her profession and mine are very closely connected and the research that some doctors do, have done, and that Ginny might one day do, can very well be called science as well. If you want to have a cure for a major disease one day, I strongly suggest that you keep Ginny on board."

Elladora had been staring up at the sky for quite a while noe, listening to the ramblings of many others, she decided that now would be a good time to defend herself because they were talking about throwing people off.

"I'm useful," Elladora said, standing up. "At night, I can calculate which way we're traveling and find the bearing to take to get to a source of land using a simple mathematical equation. And during the day, I can tell time as well as navigatin us out of this predicament. Although I must say, we most certainly will have to throw someone out, or the balloon will run out of gas before we hit land."

(wait i thought you did the horoscopes?isnt that what they do??im confused)

"I'm sorry dear midwife, but it seems you are one of the peolpe that would not be needed." Violet siad.

June nodded after Elladora finished speaking. "You're right," she said, "With you as an astrologer staying on the balloon, there's less of a chance that we'll get lost. Well... more lost than we are already, if that's possible. Also, the study of the stars and their paths is an area of science." She looked around at the others and said, "I move that all professionals who are somehow or other related to science don't get thrown off, unless it's absolutely necessary."

Emmalynn nodded in agreeance ((Is that a word??)) with Kaylee. "I think we need to keep everyone you named except the midwife and the mathematician. Whaereas we may need some math on our... journey, we have a scientist, a doctor, an astrologer, and me, a carpenter. All of us have an understanding of math in an array of different categories. With the four of us combined, we probably know just as much as the mathematician," Emmalynn explained. She took a deep breath before continuing,

"And as for the midwife: We have a doctor whos is most likely perfectly capable of birthing a child on the uncanny occurence that one of us is to fall pregnant."

(have we thrown the midwife off yet. i really havent been reading)

Violet nodded. She decided just to be quiet and defend herself when needed.

Violet head snapped up." Wait so the midwife can stay, but I go. I do have reason here. You on the other hand, do not. A Psychologist, as you said, helps the mental state of mind. You would be no use if you were to go mental, now would you?" Violet asked.
