Welcome to the maze, Rose!

You find yourself at the beginning of a huge maze composed of gigantic green hedges. Using your knowledge of spells, especially Charms, you must find a way out of this maze. Numerous obstacles will be presented to you and they need to be passed in order for you to move on through the maze. Tall leafy walls rise up on both sides of you. The sun shines brightly and there's nothing in sight... at the moment. Step into the maze and begin this adventure. Remember to role-play your actions, show your knowledge of spells and charms, and to be creative. Your first obstacle will follow your first post. There will be ten total challenges for you to complete before you're done.

Rose tilted her head and sighed. Here she went...again. Hogwarts just never settled down, did it? Sometimes I wish I had gone to a normal school, Rose thought intitively. She slowly drew her black wand and untied her cape. It fell to the ground in a twisited, black motion. She glanced over her shoulder to see a bird fly by, completly carefree.
If only she was had that luck.
Rose took in one last breath and entered the maze. She could hear the leaves cracking under her as she inched her way forward. The ivory vines crawled up the sides of the wall, going this way and that. Rose stopped a few times, thinking she was hearing and seeing them close in behind her.
Deep breaths, she said to herself, keeping as focused as she could. She had a stratagy, but she didn't know how long it would work for. She would never go straight. She would turn in this pattern, left, right, left, left, right. She was hoping it would get her farther along then sitting there thinking about it. And no matter how scary one road might look, she vowed she would take it.
After several minutes, she stopped and turned to look behind her. It appeared as if she had walked passed some turns! Confused, Rose made her way back. No....there was a door! Or was it...? She pressed her hand against the vine-covered stone. It looked like it had been used before., but yet it didn't look like a door... Holding her wand infront of her, Rose wispered dissendium and heard the familiar click and watched as the vines crawled away to reveal a glowing passage. "Yes!" Rose jumped through as quickly as possible, but then the hidden passage door slammed itself shut and was eaten up by vines again. Rose struggled to re-open it, using the charm over and over. Giving up, she squatted down and observed er surroundings. It was still sunny out, but now she was in a room part of the labreinth, more or less.
"Oh great. Just great."

The hidden door suddenly reappears in front of Rose, but before she can get to it it disappears - only to pop up on another wall of the "chamber." It does this again, its pace quickening, trying to confuse the Hufflepuff. Will she ever get out?

Rose slowly stood back up and focused on the pattern the door was now re-appearing on different sides of the chamber. It finally stopped again. She took one step twords the door. Nothing happened. She took another. Then another. Then another. After it appeared to have found a place to stay, Rose ran forward as fast as she could, wand at the ready. But when she reached a distance of about five feet, it suddenly vanished out of sight. She skidded to a halt and slammed her fist on the cold stone wall. "No!" Rose felt a small twist of pain shoot through her arm and she looked down to see her hand bleeding. She had punched some of the large thorns on the wines. Muttering under her breath, Rose pulled a few of them out with her teeth. She spat them out, bloody, and took in deep breaths. Why couldn't she get out?
The door, yet again, re-appeared on the oppisit wall. Rose ignored it as she tried to remember that one charm....ferula! That was it! Pointing her wand at her lap, she muttered the charm and a few white bandages came flying out. She wrapped them around her hand, trying to make sure she didn't get an infection.
Having one last idea, Rose faced the door and shouted Immobulus! A light shot out of the end of the wand and struck the door. Smiling, Rose ran towards it, almost sure her idea had worked this time. But like before, as soon as she got real close, it dissapeared another time.
Clearing her mind now, Rose went and sat in the direct middle of them room. The door (now to her left) did nothing. She glared it down for a while, then closed her eyes completly. After a moment, she relized something. Rose opened her eyes and took a careful look at the floor around her.
......trap triggers! "So that's what's causing me such problems!" She saw that the tiles covered a good distance around the places the door would appear. They were setting off the change! Maybe she could jump over them...?
Without a moments hesitation, Rose got back up and headed for the door, counting her paces. One...two...three! She leaped high into the air, pulling her legs up under her like a toad. She planned her landing carefully and grabbed the door handle as soon as she hit the ground.
CLEAR! Only by a hair, though. Sighing with releaf, Rose opened the door and found herself farther into the maze. Much farther. "I wonder were all the others are..." Rose could hear nothing. The sky seemed to be darkening, or maybe it was just the maze. Surrounded by total silence, Rose found five possible paths she could take. I'm on right, I think. She crept her way along the labyrinth, every noise she made echoed up and down the erie halls. She did not want to think about the things that could lie just on the other side of this maze.

Well done! You've passed your first challenge!

As Rose walks through stinky hedge-lined maze, she hears stinky hooting of many owls [maybe stinky April Fools joke is getting to me XD]. She continues to walk and can now hear stinky whooshing of beating wings. She looks up and sees stinky sky blocked by a throng of owls - and is pelted with a rock! Her shoulder aching now, she realizes that stinky rock - and stinky others falling - were dropped by stinky owls! Can she stop them?

Rose gasped as she saw the birds approaching. Then, her heart gave a jerk as she saw what they were carrying in their talons. Rocks. Lots and lots of rocks. She panicked, knowing if she didn't want her brains bashed in, she would have to think fast. As she racked her brain, a small pebble came flying from the sky, pelting Rose on her shoulder. She squeaked and jumped back, seeing the flock coming in for what would certainly be the death of Rose. With a desperate cry and time gone, she shouted out the Imperturbable Charm, and the owls bounced back in mid-dive. Confused, they tried to come at her again, but something was blocking their way.
It was the invisible barrier from the charm. It had worked. Now that the Huffie had time to think, she came up with the perfect spell to get these blasted birds off her tail. At least for a while. But first, the wall had to be brought down. She could not cast a spell through it.
With one last breath, Rose took her stance and released the barrier. The owls came at her just the same, but before they could get much closer Rose cried “Petrificus Totalus!” The birds all froze in their spots and half a second later came plummeting towards the ground. Some landed in the hedges, some on the dirt.
Hoping she hadn't seriously hurt any of them, Rose carefully stepped over each one and continued her tiering journey through the maze.

Woo! Second challenge passed!

Rose continues past the immobilized owls and turns into a corridor with just one thing in it: a wriggling black plant sticking vertically out of the ground, its surface covered with pus-filled swellings. A bubotuber ready to pop - and is that a pesky pixie about to poke one of the swellings?

Rose groaned as she saw the hideous plant covered in disgusting welts and puss. It crackled and swayed, it's large leaves curling in and out. She slowly pressed herself against the ivy wall, not knowing if it could see her or sense her presence.
As Rose crept around the plant, see saw a little blue bird zoom by. She stopped for a moment, then continued on. But only seconds later, it came back and hovered over the black monstrosity. It's wasn't a bird! It was a pixie. Oh dear.
A twisted smile crept up it's face and it extended one of it's long fingers. It hovered closer to the plant, it's claw pointing right at one of the swellings. Rose bit her lip and pointed her wand at the creature. “Peskipiksi Pestern- oh forget it, Incarcerous!” ropes flew out of her wand and wrapped themselves around the pixie, dragging it to the ground and binding it.
Rose laughed and pointed at the small blue creature. “Hahaha! Pathetic Cornish pixie, you cannot-” The plant began to crackle again, and it blew up, like someone taking in a deep breath. Oh no oh no oh no. It was gonna pop. Rose ran as fast as she could towards the next exit, dodging behind the hedge and barely missing being covered in white icky puss. And she was on to her next challenge.

Yay! Third challenge passed!

Having avoided getting burned by the pus, Rose gets to her feet and continues on her journey. But before long she hears a familiar mad cackling - Peeves! She rounds a corner and spots him - in his arms are small bouncing bulbs trying to wriggle free, and as soon as he sees her he drops the lot of them and zooms off. The bulbs come bouncing towards her as though charmed to pelt her and only her. Can she get them to stop?

Rose hadn't gotten far before the no good so-of-a-ghost Peeves appeared infront of her. With his eerie laugh, he opened his arms and dropped a handful of bulbs on the ground. They weren't any normal bulbs though. They were a bit on the demonic, possessed side. They were snarling, if you would believe it, and heading right for her. Rose started running the oppisite direction, but the road which she had come from was now completely gone. She spun back around and pointed her want at the bulb closest to her. “Deletrius!” A light shot out of the end of her wand, hitting it's mark, and the ball of evil vanished completely. She began using the spell on each of them, until none remained.

“Oh, I'll get you for that one Peeves!” She shouted angrily into the air and continued fallowing the trail until the path cut left.

Well done! Fourth challenge completed!

Rose continues on her way, but doesn't go too far before she spies a skeletal woman with long black hair walking through the maze as well. The woman's skin has an unearthly green undertone to it, and Rose recognizes her as a banshee. Having learned about these dark creatures, she knows that the scream of one is fatal and easily provoked - in fact, this banshee opens her mouth to scream as soon as she and Rose meet. Can Rose stop her before it's too late?
