I really tried to get through Sabriel. But there was something about it that I just didn't like...and I couldn't finish it.

As such I've not read any more of his books, because my experience with Sabriel put me off.

That happened with me when I first read it. I think I only got to chapter 2. Then I tried again and really quiet like it. The first one is not as good as the others.

I also had the same experience as that with Mister Monday. I almost finished it but just wasen't intrested and put it down. I never went near that series again. He has a bit of a dreary writing style but once you get past that his stories are brilliant.

I have read the majority of that list, and I quite like the old kingdom books, I need to buy them one of these days (I only have the first one). The keys to the kingdom were good too, but I was getting them from the library, so I still haven't read the last one.
