HEBB2 : Playground

Dani clapped her hands together to see the sight, Finally she thought then ran to join Kim on the slide. She rode down with none of the graces a 15-year-old should have. She giggled and streached her long sleaved arms into the sky. And ran over to the swings.

Emmalynn, who had been admiring the magicaly-appearing playground, also spotted the monkey bars.

"MONKEY BARS!!!" she screamed as she ran over to them, no longer feeling like a 17-year-old, but more like a six-year-old. She jumped onto the top of the bars and hovered above Kaylee, "I wanna play! Can I play?! Please!!!" she yelled, bouncing up and down and side to side and every angle in between. She suddenly felt like she had just eaten about 700 sugar sticks and was facing long-term effects.

"Oh my gosh there is a playground!!" Elladora yelled, running into the extended area of the garden. She ran onto the jungle gym and immediately ran through it seven times, taking down all of the slides. "Maly!" she called out, barely noticing her friend.

"Ooo.... Monkey Bars!!" Elladora said, running up to Emmalynn and jumping up in attempt to reach the bars, realizing that she was far too short.

Emmalynn threw her hands up in delight, "Yay!! Games!!" she yelled, almost losing her balance. She noticed her short friend under the bars and giggled.

"Ella! If yoou ever get up here, do you wanna play chiken with us?!" she yelled. Emmalynn looked at Kaylee, "She can play too, right?"

Pamela ran straight for the sandbox. "Yay! Sand!" She exclaimed.

She played for a bit there, then she got an idea. "Hey," she yelled. "Let's play freeze-tag!"

It appeared that everyone else already had a game going. Pamela had a scar on her right leg which she had received when she was 5 years old. She'd never played chicken since and didn't have any plans to change that.

She was getting bored in the sandbox though, so she ran over to the slide and after climbing up, went head first down the slide. Big mistake. The slide was more slick than she'd realized. She hit her head a little hard on the ground. Sitting up, she began to cry.

Dani looked at Kim and smiled like a six year old girl, "That sounds like fun," her lack-of-alcohol was no longer affecting her and she felt younger than she had in years. "You go first and I'll follow you, just like in Peter Pan!"

Suddenly she heard crying, and looked over to see Pamela just below the slide crying. "Oh no!" Dani said looking back at Kim

"Playyyyy time!", Cris shouted as she entered the playground, gleefully laughing. "Miiine!", she announced running towards the slide. She quickly hopped up the stairs and wheeeeeeeee - down she went. As soon as she got down, she had to brake however, because someone was sitting in front of it, apparently crying.

"What happened?", she asked standing up and recognised the person to be Pamela. She bent over to her. "Did you hurt yourself?", she asked in a worried tone. "Maybe we should go to get you some ice, hm?"

"Yeah," Pamela sniffled. "I hit my head. I'm better now, though." Putting on her bravest face, Pamela walked over to the swings.

"Awww..", Cris said and skipped after Pamela to the swings. "Let me have a look at it," she suggested and analysed Pamela's head. Luckily nothing seemed to be swollen so she figured it wasn't anything serious. Still, the pain was certainly not pleasant - the best thing was probably to stay calm for a while. She sat down on a swing. "Should we swing slowly for a bit, until you feel better?", she asked Pamela, smiling.

"I guess. I can't swing very fast anyway. It makes my tummy yucky," Pamela said. She was feeling the overwhelming urge to stick her thumb in her mouth. She hadn't done that during waking hours since she was nine (she'd broken the habit late in life, but still found herself regressing during sleep).

"I like it here. Big Brother is nice," Pamela said after a bit.

"Oh yeah - Big Brother had a great idea by opening these two new places, the playground and the gym. Have you been to the gym yet?", she asked Pamela and then went on, "well, I'm not a very sporty person myself, though I'm currently trying to get more active.". She looked at the various slides and bars and ropes in front of them. "I just find it much easier to burn those nasty calories by fooling around on the playground.", she added chuckling.

She leaned back to look at the clear blue sky, then closed her eyes. "I could stay her forever," she mumbled more to herself, innerly wishing childhood would come back and never end.

"I ran on the treadmill for a bit," Pamela replied. "I don't like running so much and getting nowhere. It's just no fun."

Emmalynn looked at the girl who had just started to climb across the monkey bars and called for help. She crawled over to her from on top of the bars and grabbed her hands. Lowering her down to the ground by lying on the bars and sticking her torso through.

"There you go!" she exclaimed, "All better! Now it's chiken time!" she said as she swung back upright.

Dani nodded and began to run after Pam. She was a little warier on the pole than Pam btu only for a moment, then with a giggle she slid down as well. With a warm smile on her face she ran through the tire tracks only stumbling slightly. Stopping behind Pam she looked over at the 'Chicken' people.

Dani who had never seen the game was intriuged, "What are they doing?" she asked.

*Opps! Sorry my hair color is showing today!*

Dani nodded shaking her blonde hair in and out of her face, and followed Kim through the sand and did a excellent round off and then ran up behind Kim at the top of the stairs. Her face was flushed with the effort but her smile showed through her rosy cheeks.

"Where to Now?" She asked looking at Kim.

After a bit of swinging, Pamela was bored. "What do you wanna do now?" She asked. "I think I'm going to do the slide again. This time I won't go head first. Or maybe, hey, are there see-saws?" All this came out in pretty much one breath as she looked around the playground.

Dani giggled and said "Okay, but be sure to keep up!" And she took off. She slide down the slide then ran around the swings Cris and Pam were sitting in. She did a cartwheel and then walked on a balance beam like thing. She turned on her heel to see if Kim was still following her.

Traci walked outside into the playgound

"What are you all doing?" She yelled at the top of her lungs.

Pamela saw someone come out whom she hadn't met officially yet. She thought her name was Traci.

"We're doing whatever we want!" Pamela yelled back, matching Traci's volume level. "Come have fun with us!"

Then, Pamela took off and ran for the see saw. "Someone come play with me!"

Emmalynn smirked and wrapped her legs around Elana's knees and pulling her down.

"Fell the burn yet?" she asked playfully.

Dani giggled and took it as sarcasm, she took of again running up an empty slide and steping onto a bridge that linked two of the play sets together. Run across it she saw a small rock climbing ledge about ten feet off the ground, she turned and jumped over it and landed rolling on the ground and got back to her feet to watch Kim make the jump.

Dani panted out of breath and looked around there wasn't much to the playground an they'd already gone through most of the challenging parts. "I don't know...Hey Maybe we should play Peter Pan!" She said her eyes bright.

"Well I can be Captain Hook and you can be Peter and I'll try to capture you." Dani said. "It can be like...hide and seek, you can go run somewhere as I count to ten and then well start!"

She smiled and closed her eyes, "One...Two....Three...."
