Hints and Tips from the Elfie judge

The other judges may feel like putting some of their own hints and tips here so keep an eye out as this is the general comment area for judges.

Each judge marks differently and what one may like another might not, so it is a difficult decision for your models when trying to get ful marks from all judges.

Oe big tip for good results with me is background element. Plain background will automatically loose your model points with me, though a wrong background will also not gain points. Consider this carefully for future rounds. Of course, other judges may feel differently...

Write-ups, even only a couple of lines, can help models who are portraying something different to the generalisation as sometimes the elfie judge is a little slow! (all those nights up with the mini-elfie judge!)

Hello, models.

A lot of the time my marks are different from Elfie's - drastically different. So just to reiterate what she said: we mark differently and you're not going to be able to dress to both our tastes.

That said, for me, the following is important:

-A well-chosen background that fits with the category
-Co-ordinating colours
-Nothing overly busy - too much going on in one outfit is never good

Oh, and if you want to stay on my good side - you'll avoid baker boy hats like the plague!

Some things I have noticed from the second round

Most of you have improved upon backgrounds, which is great for my marks, thoug one thing which has come up a lot and has lost many people marks is repeat backgrounds. It is unfortunate that the second, third or there after backgrounds I see which are the same as another et lower points as no one can tell what order I mark in, so it is best to try to be unique in your background choices. Especially in the same categories!


Another thing I generally hate are long socks! Random, yes, but I dont rate them highly at all


(oh and I dont mind baker boy hats as long as it goes with the style!!)

Highs to me:

- Jewelry! Not enough or good enough going around!
- Plain colors and plain suits.

Lows:

- Pink! It drives me off the roof!
- Playing it safe. Dare more!

I already mentioned about repeat backgrounds though you must watch repeat clothings! This is a complete no no especially in the same rounds!

Also a lot of people have not managed to get the full amount of parts done o achieve their full points therefore losing their well earned place on the scoreboard, as well as many missing out on the double point parts - Points are there to help you become HE's Next Top Model!
