An Icon a Day...

I thought this would be a good thread for those of us who like making graphics, but don't have all that much time to spend on creating them. Or maybe just for people who like making graphics :D

Anyway, this isn't a challenge or anything - just a way to keep your graphic making ticking over in between the bigger projects. Plus I know for me icons are one of the hardest graphics to make - so I need the practice!

Simply create an icon every day and post it in the thread. Icons are generally 100x100 in size. Any subject you like! Perhaps try a new technique every day? Be creative!

Only post one icon per day, and it must be one you've just made on the day - don't make a stock of icons and then simply post one a day. Icons posted must be of your own creation!

Who knows, if by the end of term there have been regular particpants - points might be given out

Okay- here's my first one. I'm on the PC so I only have basic paintshop- I made it for the tv show Reaper. The main character, Sam, finds out on his 21st bday that his parents sold his soul to the devil before he was born. The devil tasks Sam with retrieving escaped souls from Hell. He always has a vessell into which he has to trap the soul, and his first one was a hand held dirt devil, but he's also uses a taser, a Magic Bullet and 8-track. It's a super funny show, and along with Chuck it's become one of my favorites.

No one else want to play? I had a stroke of inspiration earlier - any icons that are gathered with this thread could go to populate (our quite sorry-looking) avatar galleries. With each artists permission, of course lol.

Anyway, here's my contribution for today. It's a text icon, which I find are incredibly hard to do. This took me about five times longer to make than yesterday's icon and it's still not very good. Anyway, it's a quote from Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer.

I was trying to get the ever popular selective colouring effect without actually having the selective colouring feature on my PSP. It kind of worked...sort of...
