Halloween Ball

Welcome to the halloween ball which is taking place down in the forbidden forest of the castle.

RPG Thread only!

Choose your fancy dress and enter the halloween forbidden forest ball and prepared to be scared!

Polly walked into the great hall to find that it was empty. Sulking she took the empty hall to liven it up a bit. Flicking her wand out she changed the whole hall with Halloween decorations. Orange and black decorations hung everywhere. Pumpkins floated above peoples head different coloured candles placed inside them. Red, Yellow, Blue and Green all the colours of the Hogwarts houses.

With the decorations up Polly started to play some music and started shacking her bumble bee backside about.

Halloween was a GREAT time of year.

The castle was always perfectly decorated, people in costumes all week (the hippo too) - everyone was full of Halloween spirit. But, of course, there were some who took things a little far during October.

"Okay, so what's next?"

"We're done! Except for the bit of the person we need to turn in to," said Jenn, holding up a nasty potions book with one hand and stirring a small cauldron with the other. "This Polyjuice, complete with personality effects, needs at least a couple hairs or nail clippings to work."

Elana rolled back on her heels, hands clasped behind her back, as she considered this. Her eyebrows furrowed as she realized a problem in their plan, and she said tentatively, "Um...Jenn Jenn, we're becoming cartoon characters...which means they," she dropped her voice to a whisper here, "aren't real."

"Oh...right."

"D'you think stuffies would work? I have dolls of them up in my dorm."

"Probably."

"All right, I'll be back in a minute!"

Luckily - somehow - clipping off bits of the dolls hair worked just as well as real hair, and soon in place of Jenn and Elana were Buttercup and Bubbles of the PowerPuff Girls. And just in time for the annual school-wide Halloween party! After admiring their new look - huge eyes, fun dresses and hair, tiny shoes, along with voice changes - they grabbed a life sized Blossom doll onto which they had taped a picture of Lifey's face, and flew down to the forest for the party. Transforming into super heroes had its advantages. Landing by one of the bonfires, Elana sat the Blossom-Lifey doll on one of the logs and took a look around. They were some of the firsts to arrive, and Elana only recognized a Bumble Bee Polly. Hoping there wouldn't be any Mojo Jojo's coming, Elana turned to the Buttercup-Jenn and said in her suddenly small high-pitched voice, "Aren't you so excited for this party? Isn't it going to be so much fun?"

She twirled around, grinning, and took hold of her short blonde pigtails. Parties were always ever so much fun, when they didn't have to run off after bad guys half way through. She repeated her plea for no Mojo Jojo's and, humming a cheery tune, picked up the Blossom-Lifey doll and propped it up. Naturally, it needed to be part of the party too.

Jenn bent over as she adjusted her long white tights and black mary jane shoes. Feeling her short black hair, she shook her head as she wasn’t used to the light weight yet. As she waited for the potion to completely kick in, she gave Bumblebee Polly a wave as she looked around the room. Suddenly her head started to throb as Jenn bent over at the waist to massage her temples.

Her feet started to levitate several feet above the ground as her head began to clear and several thoughts ran through her mind. Blinking her large green eyes, Jenn suddenly scowled. What was she doing here? She didn’t have time to go to lame parties. She had a world to save! After all, the villains were probably creating havoc at Townsville while they were gone. Her little hands curled into hard fists, which was impressive as she didn’t have fingers to start with. It was time to go kick some bad guys’ butts!

Just then her gaze hit Bubbles/Elana and the life sized Blossom-Lifey faced doll. Right, she promised her sisters she would stay here for the party. Oh, great. Jenn supposed 15 minutes or so wouldn’t be too late to beat up the bad guys. She flew over to Blossom/Lifey doll and crossed her arms over her green dress.

“Okay, let’s get this lousy party started.” She complained. Suddenly shaking her head, Jenn’s mind suddenly cleared and she became herself for a minute. “Oh, I mean I can’t wait for this party to get started! It looks great!” The Buttercup in her took over again as her smile struggled to become a frown, which made her look demented for a moment. "I hope there aren't any boys here, they have cooties and are so disg-oh lollipops!" She couldn't help exclaiming, dropping her tough girl act for a moment.

Costume

Up in her dorm room, Rigby finished braiding her hair. She checked her make-up and then grabbed the skull laying on her bed. She hoped people would recognize her costume as being Wednesday Addams from the Addams family, but either way she looked creepy.

She pressed a hidden button on top of the skull and checked to make sure that the fire whiskey she had placed earlier was all there. It was. Rigby was determined to spike the punch bowl this year, something she normally wouldn't do, but she had been dared to do it, so do it she would.

Rigby arrived a few minutes later at the ball, happy to see Jenn, Polly and Elana. Jenn and Elana had obviously planned their costumes together. Rigby smiled at them, but walked over to where Polly the Bumblebee was dancing near the refreshment tables.

She threw herself into the music, dancing as erratically as possible. Rigby flung her arm out, accidentally on purpose, sending her hand held skull into the punch bowl. Pretending to be shocked and embarrassed, Rigby raced to the punch bowl and fished out her costume prop. But not before releasing the fire whiskey into the punch.

Soaking skull back in hand, Rigby turned to her fellow party goers.

"Anyone care for a glass of punch?"

Her skin was now a pale blue and she had black stitches across her face. Her hair was too short to pass as Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas, so she had made a long, red, yarn wig to put on her head. It looked great. Since Rose was so tiny, she ahd to wear high platforms to keep from tripping over the dress. Rose made her way down to the Forbidden Forrest, exited and a bit nervous too. She saw Jenn and Elana where both dressed as two of the famous Power Puff Girls. Rose smiled, remembering how much she loved that show, and that she once even had a crush on Brick from the Rowdy Ruff Boys. She waved at them and gave them a thumbs-up for there costumes. Rose also saw Rigby dressed as a pilgrim....no wait. She took a closer look. It was Wednesday Addams! She laughed a bit and walked over to Rigby's side. “That's an awesome costume. I love the Addams Family.” Rose poured herself a cup of punch. She sighed and took a deep breath. “Man, I love Halloween” she said, not really to anyone. It was her favorite holiday, she was glade to admit, but she felt like she and Skie where the only ones really into it. She was happy to see the Halloween spirit at Hogwarts. Rose glanced around her, seeing all the wonderful decorations. Pumpkins where everywhere, carved and some where even holding food and drinks. There was fog rising from one of the big black cauldrons, giving the apply cyder a creepy look. And the music was playing a heart-beat sound, making Rose nod her head side to side. Bum-bum-bum-bum-bum-bum-bum....

"Boys?" Elana exclaimed, suddenly even more giddy as she became even more like Bubbles. Remembering those adorable Rowdy Ruff boys, she giggled as she flew up into the air. "You're so silly, Butter - I mean, Jenn," she said, shaking her head. This could get confusing. Unperturbed, she continued on, "They may have cooties, but the Professor told me they weren't contagious."

A small girl dressed all in black arrived then, and she had to look closely to recognize her as none other than her Potions Mistress and Head of House - Kate! Elana beamed and waved excitedly, glad that she had made it. Rose had come too! Returning her thumbs up, Elana flew down to land by Kate, who had called out to anyone who wanted punch. Taking the corners of her bright blue dress in hand and slightly swaying from side to side with the music, big blue eyes looking up at Kate, she asked sweetly, "Could I have some? I love punch!"

She took a paper cup - decorated with happy jack-o-lanterns - and took a sip. There was something different about it that she, especially the Bubbles in her, didn't quite like. But she swallowed anyway, and couldn't help but take another drink. It was different, not like the punch the Professor - the House Elves, she meant, of course - made. I think that's enough for now, she thought, swaying a bit more than usual as she put the cup down.

Rigby giggled as Elana took a sip of her spiked punch, having downed three glasses of the concoction herself already. The music changed, and Monster Mash began to play. Rigby ran to the middle of the dance floor and began dancing, spinning madly around the floor.

She fell down a lot.

Fortunately the spiked punch kept her body loose, so she didn't seriously injure herself, although her skull prop went flying towards some Slytherin first years. Seeing the Slytherin boy being transported to the hospital wing with a mild concussion helped sober Rigby up. Maybe adding fire whiskey to the punch had not been a good idea.

First she crept over the corner of the room, pretending to casually retrieve her skull, hoping no one had seen her throw it. Ravenclaws didn't always get along with Slytherins, but Rigby didn't usually go around trying to knock their heads off. Then she smoothly (as smooth as she was capable of, which meant that she only looked like she was have a minor seizure) over the to the punch stand.

Glancing around to make sure no one was looking, Rigby pointed her wand to the bowl and whispered a drying spell at the bowl. Her spiked juice immediately evaporated. She sighed in relief, happier still when it was filled up almost instantly by unseen house elves. Just to be sure, Rigby took a small cup full of punch. It was clean.

Rigby tossed out her punch cup. Her head hurt, she needed water. She located a bottle of it in the far corner, next to some tasty mini quiche. She re-hydrated and snacked a little, and by the time Time Warp came she felt a lot better.

"Let's do the Time Warp again!" she cried.

Rose smiled. She absalutly adored the Time Warp. It was her favorite besides the Thriller. She wondered if she should go up and dance with the others, but her nerves got the better of her and she desided to stay put. Rose got herself some more punch, wondering when the others guests would be arriving. She did love parties, and she did love Halloween, so this could possibly be her favorite party of the year. Only 365 days till the next one! And hopfully Rose would be teaching something by then.

For now, all the little Huffie girl wanted to do was have fun while she could.

Costume

As Kate walked into the 'forest', she looked around, the party wasn't much to her usual standards, but it would do currently, they were doing the time-warp. Whilst looking around, she saw two other HUfflepuffs, Rose, Kate knew but the other one she didnt. Kate noticed rose was nto joining in, so she decided to go over and say hi.

"Hiya Rose, I just got back from visiting my cousins. You ok?" Whilst waiting for Roses responce, Kate tapped her feet to the beet. I wounder if I should join in? She thought
