This is where you will find any HQ staff set challenges which hold housepoints.

Each staff member who submits a challenge must comply to the following

* Name of challenge
* Any specific challenge rules
* Challenge length (closing date)
* Housepoints offered for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and participating (please keep to relevent housepoint guidelines)

You will also need to open a challenge thread for discussions and challenge links. Please make sure 'Staff Challenge' is in the title with the challenge name. (in capitals to show difference from normal challenges)


Any members taking up any of these challenges, please do not post here, yet find the relevent thread.

I will begin by setting a random challenge to anyone who wishes to enter. As with all challenges, please remember to stick to the rules and regulations of HQ/HE.

All challenge fics from staff get submitted into the special challenge category on HQ

Name of challenge

Snape's Turmoil (This is simply the challenge name - you may name your fic with another title as long as you post your link in the challenge thread link below - it will be entered.)

The Challenge

As most people will know, I believe in Severus Snape's innocence and believe that deep inside he has a lot of turmoil going on.

To some, this may be an easy challenge, yet to those who believe Snape is evil, this challenge may be more difficult.

Your challenge is to write about the turmoil that Severus Snape feels inside. It can be set pre-hogwarts, Hogwarts or even post-hogwarts but it can NOT show how evil he is. Experiment! Show the depth that he really has in his character and show something which is rarely shown in writing Snapes character - deep emotion!

Challenge length (closing date)

This challenge will be open until 1st February 2007

Story Length

A one-shot fiction with either one, two or three chapters, yet no more

Posting Your Fic

All stories entered must be posted on The Hogwarts Quill. Ensure that you submit it to the "Snape's Turmoil" subcategory of the "Official Challenges" category.

Housepoints Avaliable

1st place: 150 housepoints
2nd place: 120 housepoints
3rd place: 100 housepoints

All who enter: 50 housepoints
