Valentine's Drabble Challenge

To celebrate Valentine's Day, your challenge is to write a drabble full of romantic fluff!

A drabble is a short, self-contained fanfiction, of exactly 100 words.

“Happy Valentine’s Day sir.” a voiced chirped cheerfully.

Severus Snape looked over his hooked nose and glanced at the boy standing before him. "What do you want Potter."

Harry blushed and held out a plushie that had a hooked nose, greasy hair, and was wearing long black robes. "Here you go sir." The boy said and quickly pressed the doll into the man’s arms.

“On the behalf of your fan club, I want to tell you that we all love you." Harry said and looked at the man bashfully and before giving the potion master a quick hug, “Especially me.”

The Great Hall was almost empty and Scorpius was alone at his table.
Apparently the houselves thought pink cakes and chocolates would be appropriate for Valentine’s Day. Scorpius, obviously, did not, a disgusted grimace creeping onto his face as he poked at an iced cookie.

As he glanced up, a few late owls were fluttering in to deliver frilly valentines. Scorpius looked dejectedly back at his sweets, shocked when a small pygmy-owl halted before him. After scanning the attached note, his eyes raised to a girl in his year grinning sheepishly across the hall.
“Rose..” he muttered, rolling his eyes.

It's a slash drabble; that's why it's under the spoiler. It's supposed to have a cheesy, juevenile valentine feel to it. I hope this is okay since it is a slash.

“Happy Valentine’s Day, Luna,” Hermione said, running by, showering Luna with hearts.
“Ooh, paper hearts! I’ll go ask Neville if he wants to be my Valentine and shower him with hearts!” Luna skipped of to Neville.
“Neville, can you be my Valentine?” Luna asked Neville.
“Well, if you insist, I don’t have a Valentine card,” said Neville.
“Don’t worry. I have enough for both of us!” Luna giggled and swung her arm around Neville.
“Come on, let’s go!” Luna shouted. They skipped off to Potions.
“Since it is Valentine’s Day, you will be making love potion,” said Professor Snape.
“I’d love to!” said Luna.

“So I was thinking…”

“What was that, dear?” asked Molly, looking up from her knitting. Arthur stood in the doorway to the living room, smiling. He cleared his throat and continued, “I thought that tonight we could try out that new restaurant down in Ottery…”

Molly started, looking at him inquisitively. “The soup I made yesterday should be just fine.”

His smile grew, and he asked teasingly, “Don’t you know what day it is?”

“It’s Thursday.”

“Valentine’s Day,” he corrected, and crossed the room, a bouquet of roses coming out from behind his back. A stunned Molly received them. Laughing, Arthur pecked her on the cheek. “Thought you might’ve forgotten.”

Lily Evans, Head Girl, was patrolling the dungeons on February 14. Potter had tried on several occasions to get her to go to Hogsmeade with him, but to no avail. She just wasn’t into Valentine’s Day.

As she entered the Head dorms, she noticed there was no fire in the hearth. She thought that strange and ignited her wand.

The room was covered in red roses. Severus probably wasn’t happy... She walked to the hearth, lit a fire and noticed a letter addressed to her on the mantle. She opened it and read:



“Severus,” she smiled.

She found a rose on her pillow that morning and it filled her with happiness. She hadn’t even dared to dream until now…
She rushed down the stairs, ready to meet him - the one who she had been waiting for all these years but when she got there it was not Sirius Black that stood there, with an armful of roses. She sighed inwardly but took his hand anyway and headed to the Great Hall, smiling. As she walked she made a mental note: dreaming was useless. She would enjoy this Valentines Day the way it was meant to be enjoyed, not yearning after someone who would never be hers.

George took Luna’s hand and kissed it softly, his eyes lighting up as he began to speak to her.

“Darling, I never thought anyone could ever make me feel the way you do but here you are making me feel like I’ve never felt before. You are my life, my heart and my world.”

Luna grinned at the handsome red head standing before her.

“I feel exactly the same way George, you’ve really made me feel like life has new meaning.”

George then slid onto one knee, a warm smile on his lips.

“Happy Valentine’s day Luna, will you marry me?”

“Hey Evans,” he said, smiling down at her.

Lily looked up, surprised from her seat by the lake. “Yes, Potter,” she replied before turning back to it.

There was a peaceful silence before he said, “So… I’ve been thinking…”

“There’s a surprise,” Lily murmured and turned a page.

He smiled wider and continued, “Yeah, so I was thinking… My head’s deflated since Fifth Year, don’t you think?”

She rolled her eyes, but the corners of her lips tugged upwards. “Maybe.”

“Well, I’m better than I used to be,” he amended, “You can’t deny that!”

This time, she really did smile. “No, I suppose I can’t.” She marked her page and slowly closed her book. She got to her feet and looked him in the eye. “What do you want, Potter?”

“Why do you always think that I have some ulterior motive? Why can’t I just be here to talk with the most beautiful girl at Hogwarts?”

She shrugged and said, amused, “Because you always have a purpose, Potter. You’re similar to a Slytherin in that respect.”

He stood straighter, no longer smiling. “I am not!” But she was laughing softly and he relaxed; she was only teasing. “It’s not funny,” he muttered, but was smiling once more.

“So really Potter, let’s get down to the point of this visit.” She clutched her book to her chest. “What do you want?”

He sighed in a long-suffering fashion and said, “There’s a Hogsmeade weekend next week… And I was wondering… Well, will you go with me?”

She gave him a look and asked rhetorically, “This is what, the 100th time you’ve asked me out?” She shook her head amused and continued, “You never learn, do you, Potter?”

“Nope,” he said, grinning at her.

She looked out over the lake, thinking, 'I’ll probably regret this'. “Alright then, Potter, since you’re so persistent and since you actually have gotten better since Fifth… I’ll go to Hogsmeade with you.” She pushed her book from her chest to his and turned, walking back up to the castle.

He stood there, automatically holding the book, staring after her. “Wait – really? Wait, Ev – Lily!” He ran after her managed to catch up. “Really?”

She laughed loudly and looked up at him. “You know I don’t say things I don’t mean, Potter, but this is your one chance.”

“Then can you call me James?”

I'm very very sorry about the length... and if it doesn't qualify for the challenge, then that's fine... but I saw this and just wanted to get this part out.
