Duelling Classroom

Eliza walked in with Zeke, her brother.
"No-one here, yet..." Zeke said.
"A clever observation." Eliza said smartly.

Raven and Shadow walked in as well, having meant to get some magic practise in. They saw the other two and decided that maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

"Hi..." Eliza said, realising that they had wanted to be alone.

"If you guys are gonna be busy here, we'll come back later." Raven said.

"Oh, no! We could duel each other!"

"Shadow and I were planning on battling each other, but yeah, if you want." Raven said.

"Ok, Raven could you go with Zeke? And I'd go with Shadow..." She said, afraid that Shadow and Zeke might try to kill each other. "Wand or natural magic?"

Raven sensed the reason behind the pairing and secretly agreed.
"Natural I think. Shadow hasn't mastered the use of a wand."

"Perfect." Eliza stood in front of Shadow, and bowed. Zeke bowed to Raven.

The twins bowed simultaneously and summoned their magic, surrounding their hands in glowing dark energy.

Eliza summoned her ice magic, and the temperature dropped around her.
Zeke summoned his fire-magic, and the temperature rose around him.
"Ready?" They said in unison. "You go."

Shadow and Raven nodded, Raven was smiling slightly, whereas Shadow's face was void of all emotion. The pair threw a few bolts of black magic at their opponents.

Zeke sent flames towards Raven's bolt, which engulfed it and it fell as ashes to the floor. Eliza had reacted less quickly, but had managed to freeze it in time. It tinkled as it hit the floor, shattering.
Eliza grinned and made the air around Shadow cold, freezing.
Zeke made the air around Raven hot, burning.

Shadow and Raven cast shields around themselves, stopping the worse of the temperature change, but it took a lot of energy.

Eliza sent a breath of cold air, intended to freeze the shield, or at least draw more energy.
Zeke made flames lick the sides of Raven's shield.

Shadow and Raven concentrates harder to keep their shields up.

Eliza sent icicles speed towards Shadow's shield, most bounced of and shattered, but one was stuck there, point first. Zeke kept the flames at Raven's shield.

Raven's shield shattered and she fell to the ground, but Shadow was still holding hers, although there was a bead of sweat trickling down her forehead and her eyes were tightly shut in concentration.

Zeke encased Raven in fire.
Eliza continued to sent icicles and cold air to Shadow, determined to break the shield.

'Enough!" Raven roared, feeling the flames encase her. As she stood up, she sent out an expanding force field. It shattered Shadow's shield and threw her to the ground.

The shock made both Eliza and Zeke stumble backwards. Eliza was first to recover. She encased Shadow in a sphere of ice, decreasing the temperature inside it.
Zeke got up, undaunted, and his phoenix fluttered on his shoulder. Baling the flames into an orb, he flung it, then another, then another towards Raven.

Raven was mad. Really mad. She charged at Zeke, her eyes flashing as she threw bolt after bolt of magic at him.

Zeke made a shield of fire and the bolts bounced harmlessly off. He make the sheild advance onto Raven's path and move towards her.

Raven flipped over the wall, still making her way towards Zeke. Shadow was in the ice sphere, trying to hold out against the temperature.

Zeke made the wall become like cloth and it draped itself on Raven.

Raven summoned another shield around herself.

The cloth was pressing on the shield. Eliza made the temperature go down even more in the sphere.

Shadow pulled her cloak further around her, trying to keep out the cold. She didn't know how much longer she could endure it.

Eliza sensed the weakness and pushed it a little bit further. "Give up?"

Shadow's pride didn't let her give up, and she tried harder to endure. She began to hammer at the walls of the sphere, desperate to break out.

Eliza suddenly let the sphere disappear, and the cold inside whooshed out.

Shadow fell to the ground, where she stood up shakily.

"Give up?" Eliza repeated.

Zeke intensified the heat around Raven.

Raven ignored the heat, being able to stand the heat better than the cold. Shadow regained some of her spirit. Shadow and Raven glanced at each other, grinning slightly.

"Well?" Eliza said, and sent icicles spinning towards Shadow, they pinned her clothes to the ground.
Zeke sent more fireballs.

Shadow concentrated and teleported behind Eliza.
"Switch!" She and Raven shouted. Shadow trew her magic at Zeke while Raven turned towards Eliza.

They looked stunned for a moment, then recovered. Zeke threw fire like there was no tomorrow, and Eliza sent a wall of ice towards Raven.

Raven smiled and jumped on top of the wall. Shadow used her magic to redirect Zeke's fire bolts into a wall.

Zeke just smiled, and apparated behind Shadow, encasing her in the sphere, making her fly around the room.
Eliza made the wall disappear and set some heavy snow underneath, as tall as Eliza.

Raven hovered in the air, unaffected by the loss of her support. Shadow teleported out of the sphere, to behind Zeke. Instantly dropping into a low fight stance, Shadow swung one leg round to take Zeke's legs out from under him.

Zeke fell heavily, but did the same to Shadow. He held a glowing coal inches from her face.

Eliza shot icicles and snowballs at Raven.

Shadow flipped back to her feet, avoiding the coal while Raven ducked and dodged.

Eliza made some heavy snow appear above Raven, then let it fall.

Zeke made a whip of fire, and whirled it around Shadow.

Raven teleported out of the way, allowing the snow to fall to the ground. Shadow struggled against the flames. Her eyes glowed red.

Eliza encased her in a sphere of ice and made the temperature go down drastically.

Zeke saw the eyes flash red and stopped the fire whip, making it disappear. "Your move." He said softly.

"Why the mercy?" Asked Shadow, picking herself up after having fallen to the ground.

"I don't want you to go demonic on me." He said, with a little more than was necessary buff.

Shadow nodded.
"I'm with drawing."

"Same here." Zeke said, swallowing his pride.
"Eliza? Raven?" He called to them.
