Oddie quickly made her way down to the post office carrying with her a small box that she had just recieved. I have to hurry and get rid of this. If another Death Eater saw me with this bad things could happen Oddie shuddered at the thought. She quickly made her way inside of the Post office and was greeted by the sight of thousands of owls flying around the room

Holly waited a moment and then stole in after her, hiding behind a particularly large barn owl who was sleeping.
What was Oddie doing here?
Holly checked her watch. She would stay ten minutes longer and then report back to the Slytherin who had sent her to spy, saying that Oddie had simply retired back to her dorm room after a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks.
Unless something lifechanging happened.

One of the workers came up to Oddie and asked her "What's your location?"

Oddie looked at him and then quickly scanned the others who were there and her eyes rested on one of the workers. "I want him to take care of my bussines here" Oddie said pointing at the man with the long black hair and beard. The man then called out "Hey Rancall come here. Your wanted."

Rancall nodded to the man and said "Hold on I'm with a customer right now. I'll be over when Im finsihed."

"well this girl wants you to take care of her mailing" teh man said noding his head towards Oddie Rancall looked to see who he indicated and spotted Oddie. His eyes got bigger but other than that he showed no sign that he knew her. "Well she's going to have to wait" he called back.

The man turned to Oddie and said "Well stay here and he'll get to you when he's finished." Oddie gave the man a nod and stood there waiting

Whatever could Oddie want with this man?
Holly thought this as she crept to the window sill of the post office and sat there silently. At least she hadnt been spotted yet, and that was something to keep in mind.

After Rancall was fiinished maling that last person's letter, he walked over to Oddie and whispered "What do you want this time Riddle?"

"I want to mail something, why else would I come here" Oddie whispered back

"Oh" Rancall said "So you want to send it there. Well give me the package and I'll have it all taken care of"

Oddie held up the package and handed it across the counter. Rancall took it and quickly go one of the owls down. He tied it to the bird's leg and said "fifteen gallons than. I used my own owl so no one will know about it" Rancall said as he took the money from Oddie.

"Thanks. It was nice doing business with you" Oddie said as she turned around and went to leave the POst office but quickly spotted someone. She walked over to Holly and said "Why hello, are you mailing something here too?"

Having never spoken to Oddie before, Holly was shocked at being addressed so nicely.
"W-w-w-w-I ..... um....yes. Yes I am. I am mailing something too....,"
Though it was quite unlike her, Holly felt a pang of guilt, for doing something so horrible to someone so nice.

"I do not see a package" Oddie said and then added "Are you following me? I did see you following me down the street and into the post office."

Busted! Holly thought.
Her mind flickered through several excuses before she decided on, "I'm sorry. I have trouble speaking English"
And wincing she made for the door.

"Wait" Oddie called out to her and tried to grab her arm before she got away. "I only wanted to ask you a few questions. I'm not going to jinx you or anything" Oddie said trying to sound as nice as she could. All she wanted to do was find out who sent her, if anyone sent her.

Holly bit her lip. She was never good with questions, but nodded slowly all the same.
"Um. Alright.....well. To start, hello, my name is Holly Bristol.....I'm sorry I was following ya. Okay, lets start with the questions....,"

GLad that she wasnt trying to run away no more, Oddie let go of her arm and said "Well Hello Holly. My name is Oddie. All I really wanted to know is why you were following me? Did someone asl you too or are you following me for reasons for yourself? You seem like a nice girl."

Holly almost snorted at "nice girl". She did try to be, but her record was against her.
She smiled grimly.
"Alex Caygen, Slytherin, fifth year. Tall, dark hair, glasses. Wanted to know exactly what you were doing all day today. I aint got that much money and so needed the job. If it helps, I'm really sorry.....and its nice to meet you Oddie by the way."

"Oh so you were only follwoing me for money?" Oddie asked her as she tried to figure out who this Alex she was talking about was. After a few minutes of thinking she finally realized who it was. "How much did he say he was going to pay you? I'll double the price if you tell him something else instead. If he asks what all I was up to just say I was buying books instead. Come to Gringotts and I'll give you the money to tell him them lie. That way you'll get three times the amount you would of have gotten" Oddie added with a small smile

Holly smiled and shook her head sadly.
"As much as I wanna, I aint takin' money off somebody nice....Yeah, I'll tell Alex you were buyin' books. Any particular titles you want me to mention?"

"Stick to ones about animals. He knows I like to read magical creatures books." Oddie said. "Are you sure you dont want the money. I was going to give you some of the money that I stole from father. I placed it in my vault so that he wouldnt find it."

"Y'stole from your father?" Holly repeated, "Um.....no its fine. Books about animals. Goddit. Thanks by the way. Most people wouldda hexed me and be done with it ... but you didnt. Thank Oddie."
Holly smiled but then thought about what Oddie had said.
"Um......are you a Riddle?"

Oddie frowned when she heard Holly ask if she was a Riddle. "Yes I am a Riddle but I hope that doesnt change nothing" Oddie replied. "I am not like my father. I might have been in the past but I have changed"

Holly shook her head.
"Nah doesnt change anything," she said, "It's just, I thought you were cause....y'look like one. No! No that came out wrong just......you seem to be a Riddle. A good one mind."
Holly smiled nervously.

Oddie gave Holly a small smile and laughed after she stumbled with what she was saying. "Yes you thought right. Now are you suppose to meet Alex right away with information as to what I was doing today are do you think that you would have some time to hang out with me?" Oddie asked her. "If you dont want to you dont have to. It's just Im here by myself with no one to talk to."

She girnned again.

"Honeydukes?" Oddie said thinking about it. "I believe I've been in there once before. Let's go" she exclaimed as she opened up the post office door and walked out onto the street
